I can't blame City, Chelsea, or any other club. The way top, European football is designed creates massive gaps in spending and monopolies at the top that are exacerbated over time. Aggressive spending is the mst efficient way of success. It is the system itself more than anything else.

Is Lucas more of a wing player of attacking midfielder? I'm not even sure where he will play for PSG. They already have Pastore, Menez, Lavezzi, Ibrahimovic, Gameiro (who I suppose might be sold along with Hoarau), etc. The team just seem to be accumulating talent. They've already been linked to selling Sakho, which also seems to make little sense. It doesn't matter, as their players are so superior, but I don't understand why they are so eager to discard/replace good players.

More like Ligue 1 from 2001-2008. PSG will clearly be the best team now, but there is enough quality and money in the rest of the league to keep things vaguely competitive, imo.

I'm not convinced Kagawa is actually a world class player or someone who will consistently produce at the highest level of the game. I like his game, and he will have a long, productive career, but I don't think he is a truly special talent. His stature seems to have grown substantially because Man U signed him.

None of these players impress me if you are trying to say they have the best front four in the world. Most top teams have similarly intimidating lines.

Sturridge is easily one the top players from that team. I hope he doesn't catch abuse because his penalty was actually saved (he didn't miss).

The fee will be higher because Azpi is younger. This is the only reason. He is a good player though, with the potential to become top class if he can avoid injury (he tore his knee last year) and is nurtured correctly. Nosa Igiebor had agreed a transfer from Hapoel to Real Betis in Spain, but the move has collapsed because the player demanded a pay raise to the contract he had seemingly already agreed to. Since we've gone to u-23 for Olympics Ghana, Poland, Nigeria (twice), Cameroon, Chile,and Paraguay have all medalled. The lack of all the senior players makes it so every team with a good amount of talent has a chance to go far. I always enjoy the tournament, good football and many surprises.

Of course, but it's not easy for a club like Lille to replace a France international and probably their best player. I have no problem with the way Lille are doing this. I recognised that GB performance. Talented, athletic players (lacking in technical proficiency) who do well for their clubs looking lost in defence, playing statically in attack and having an indescribably rubbish lack of formation and shape. This was every Nigeria performance I have ever witnessed. Pearce is a rubbish manager, frankly, but I expect GB to make the semifinals at the least. Annoyed we are not in this as we finished 2nd last time. I love football at the Olympics, and this should be one of the best tournaments they've ever had.

How is ACN a concern with someone of Ayew's quality. He is essentially the player you wish Jonas was. He would be a top signing for any team he went to.

Sewelly, the attributes you mention are ones we don't have at all. We have a central midfielder in Cabaye and a winger in Ben Arfa that often out in quality aerial service. Why not give them another target? I think he would be a fantastic option off the bench. We don't need to change or make him our main impetus of our attack.

Under RDM, Obi will play and Ramires will be on the wings. I don't know much of Oscar, but I doubt they'll just throw a twenty year old with no European experience into an immediate starter. They are definitely a very good team now, though. We won't catch them but Spurs and Arsenal are vulnerable if things don't go well in adjusting to new players and major departures.

We should acquire the best players available and build a system that works for them, instead of trying to fit talented players into a system that has been preconceived. The decision to play 4-3-3 was based heavily on the acquisition of Cisse, the revitalisation of Hatem Ben Arfa, and the versatility of Gutierrez.
