I saw the headline: "Jeffers has fitness worries at Newcastle trial" on a football news and nearly fell down from my feet. It was actually Newcastle Jets of the A-League. Poor Francis.
-
Gyan should not be singled out. The single most ridiculous inclusion in that list is Miroslav Klose. Looks at what he achieved last season. Nothing. Gyan, at least, played very well for Rennes last season.

Unless Jamaica or Costa Rica decide to produce some top talents, you really ought to be fine. Mexico shouldn't really be your concern.

Messi and Mourinho for me. Messi was the best player at club level during the club season. obviously he was outshone by a lot of the German and Spanish boys during the World Cup, but regardless, he has been the most dominant player on this planet during 2010. Mourinho is manager of the year, easily. He's owned this year. Led his side to the Champions League trophy, beating the champions of the England, Germany, and Spain. Then he sensationally left for the biggest club in the world. Hell of a year for him

Behrami and Parker for sure. Don't know if we could get Obinna for loan. I think Inter intend to sell him if they can. I'd take him in a flash, though. I'd take Cole, Piquionne, and Noble as well. Barrera is interesting. I'd like Hitzelsperger of Stuttgart form at NUFC for sure, but I don't think he had a good time with Lazio and his latest injury seems serious. Overall, I think they have a better team than us in every facet except defense and goalkeeper. Club is just in a mess, though.

I never wanted to see Perch in a Newcastle shirt in the first place. Everton found Cahill and Lescott, but generally buying 25 year olds from the Championship tot play in the Premiership is not good practice. Any chance we could use Perch as a reserve DM. Utilise his versatility at least.
-
This is especially true now that we have a genuine DM that can assist back there. I don't know if Tiote really has the tactical feel or mentality to sit, but it would be useful to the team. If you look at the most successful teams in the world, the defenders have freedom to surge forward to vary the attack because the intelligent DM will pull back and cover their position. This would be a nice adjustment because our attack is really too blunt and obvious most of time, especially when it builds up slowly.

Some rough looking girls in there, man.

He hasn't been that bad, man. He's trying hard, and the goals will come. I don't love him, but he is more a thoroughbred than a donkey. Remy is already eclipsing HBA, though.
-
They had 56 shots on goal against PAOK. They definitely did not.

What about Gignac? Gignac played well tonight, but he just looks so limited. He's dangerous, powerful, and a good finisher (despite his lack of goal with us thus far), but he's incredibly one footed to the point that he'll walk into defenders just to get it onto his right. Such a predictable player and not too creative. I think he'll get better, though. OM is the club he supported as a boy and there is a lot of pressure on his shoulders. He works hard and goal will come, though the price tag is still questionable.

Feyenoord a a good team as well, very odd. Loic Remy looks worth the 15 million. :good:

Portsmouth FC in yet more trouble - administration again?

As I said, they were out to expose Gaydamark and plea for sympathy. It is desperate, but it has worked for them. 'You're always going on about Nwankwo Kanu, you're never going to meet him.' I've actually met him several times. -
None of the penalty claims were valid, but the freekick for the goal was just Aiyegbeni spinning and falling. I didn't even see contact.
-
Crouch's legs are crazily long. Just missed kicking and upright Pienaar the head without even jumping. Funny, how the commentators on ESPN are scared to criticise Howard, knowing that the US makes up a good portion of their audience.
-
How many times does Crouch plan to jump on someone and beg for a penalty?
-
So, Rooney has surpassed Toure as the highest paid player in the Premiership? Honestly, the whole saga is disgraceful from both parties.
-
They brought him in from Rennes, ffs. It's not as though he was some established star from Spain or Italy. I genuinely have no idea why they gave him 80,000 pounds a week. He denies that figure and states he only earns one-third of that amount. They pay him 26,666.66 pounds per week?
