Given the blatant corruption and match-fixing that proliferated WC 2002, I would be surprised if FIFA ventured to either part of Korea in the near future.
-
Would it? There's larger portions of America where it would not be preferable to play for 90 minutes during midday in mid June. If they were to start at night, it would inconvenient for Euros, especially on the Western Coast.
-
Anybody but Russia. If we qualify, I'd hope rather not have massive banana posters at our matches. I know that's a bit ridiculous, but I was very displeased with not only the events surrounding Osaze's departure, but how it was handled and dismissed in that country.
-
You guys have issues with Webb and Clattenburg too? Have you seen the decisions Webb gives against us everytime he refs our games. How he's still allowed to ref our games is a complete joke. Are you expecting the FA to ban him from matches involving Tottenham because of perceived injustice from angry fans with an inferiority complex?

Because Nigeria, Cote D'Ivoire, Ghana, Senegal, and Mali are putting their youngplayers through world class training facilities and top class coaching. We cannot even build roads correctly, yet we breed footballers.
-
Why are India so bad at football anway? At least China has made a few decent players. There's three or four billion between the two nations and with such a young population, you'd figure a decent percentage would be fit males who enjoy football.

Honestly, I just like reading this thread to see the slow and steady depreciation of dj's mental state.
-
Are you suggesting the FA should fine Chelsea for fielding an under-strength side? We should. It's giving unfair benefit to Sunderland in the North East league table.
-
Essien and Lampard are definitely not playing. So Zhirkov and the rubbish Brazilian will still be in CM.
-
The "filling the bench with youth players who probably won't make it at the club" strategy is probably not ideal for a top club competing on four fronts.
-
they've been playing like this for weeks tbh They have four irreplaceable players and are missing three. Sunderland are rubbish, though. horrible team and they'll probably still lose.
-
Characteristic from Cech. Why? He's not particularly good.
-
He's looked awful every time I've seen him. Lacks composure, skill, and power to be a dominant player in the Premiership.Runs around a lot but does nothing with the ball.
-
And one in midfield.

Clichy barely knows how to defend anymore. I don't know what the problem is with Arsenal and fullbacks. Sagna has declined for no real reason. Remember looked like becoming one of the world's best players? Now he is just a headless chicken who's took stupid to defend and too unreliable to start on the wings.
-
Yeah, not many easily attainable players that would be decent additions. We'd have to throw money onto the fire if we want somebody from England. It's best to look abroad, imo. Might be out of reach, but I'm wondering how much Lorient want for Gameiro.
-
Gibbs is a very good player. I'd be surprised if Clichy is at Arsenal for more than another year. He might be the better player already.
-
I was actually surprised team like Cardiff, QPR, etc. didn't look at him. Weird to let a very competent Championship striker go to your main rival for the title. They must have known something we didn't

I can't see Payet or Hoarau coming here unless we get to Europe or really are willing to spend on wages and transfer fees. Payet was ridiculously good earlier in the season, I'd definitely take him here. Hoarau is more skillful than Carroll and probably a better finisher, but nowhere near as much of a pure brute. Can't see why we'd want such a similar player anyway. Much prefer we went after Erding if we are serious about PSG strikers.
-
Well yeah, if we fail to win all of our remaining home matches, then we might be in a bit of trouble. Could say that for every team in the league.
-
If you have Carroll upfront then you should be launching the ball to him the majority of the time the keeper has it. It's part of him being a weapon. Drogba's team has plenty of ballplayers, but they still launch it to him when he's on the pitch. It's a useful strategy.

Jonas is ambidextrous.
-
Onouha? (sp) Hands off.
-
On the other hand, after 5 years in British climate surely Adebayor would've acclimatised somewhat? You don't acclimatise. You just accept. Cold is cold.

Nothing to do with the league, man. You can't do that in the penalty box in any league, anywhere. You're right though, it's good that he was emotional for the goal. Even machines can develop deep feelings for this amazingly wonderful football club. He'll learn from it and improve, and quite frankly I am amazed that he has earned my trust in such a short span of time.
