It is most likely Blanc just looking to appease the rabid masses and foolish administrators. People are quite angry.

Do we ever learn? Based on other players coming back from a sort of injury that involves a missed preseason, and out until late Autumn, we wont see him playing well until April at the earliest unfortunately. He's a good player though, if he stays fit afterwards, he will be great for us in two seasons time if he hasn't decided to leave if we got relegated or something! He a talented twenty year old on a free transfer. I don't think one injury is any reason to pass this up.

I hope the U.S. is prepared to be comprehensively defeated by Nigeria's Super Falconets. I look forward to savouring this. I watched a disturbingly high amount of the first group matches on Supersport 3 last week. It's significantly more watchable than woman's basketball or men's baseball and golf anyway. It's still football. Charlyn Corral of Mexico has been my favourite player to this point. I feel like she is carrying far too much weight to be a top level player, but she is a little midfield maestro.

Ramsey is superior to Aliadiere and is already more a part of the first team squad than he ever was. He's unquestionably the better player, imo, but the injury is quite severe. From what I've seen, it looks like he will make a full recovery physical, but the mental recovery is a completely different aspect.

Mourinho thinks Ramos is a centreback. No one cares about Arbeloa.

If this low expenditure is creating additional funds for investment in other areas, then there really should not be any problems with this. Americans aren't lining up to see NUFC anyway. The best way to gain int'l fans is to win something.

To us, on loan. Only went to Manchester airport because of the thunder and lightning. Would be great if we could get Huntelaar. Never. Um ... okay, thanks? By the way what's with this Ben Arfa to Newcastle link? Any info on Ben Arfa's situation in general? Sorry for the flippancy, but there is no chance of us signing thi player. Sorry. Ben Arfa is linked with a move away, because he doesn't get on the pitch too much and doesn't really fit into Deschamps style. Also, he is an idiot. He's been linked about fifteen clubs in England and France. I wouldn't take too much from it.
-
I really don't rate Nasri. Nasri is 20 to 25 times better than this idiot. I don't see why Ben Arfa is unrealistic for us. The likes of West Ham have been linked heavily with him. If we are short of funds I wouldn't want him to be our main signing.

Just the £9m taken off us so far for f***-all except all these pathetic little soundbites. Can he not just shut the f*** up til he's played a few games? Why does it matter? Unless he gets injured on the way to or from the interview, it's not like he's going to be any better or worse for talking to a journalist. I'd rather he came out with positive stuff like this (about him and his team mates tbh), than something negative. In the end, all this is about is some journalist asking him if he thinks he's good enough for one day getting another England cap. His choices are either to go along with it and have a positive spin on the article, or he says no comment and the journo will dig up something about him and how his brother is in prison and bla bla bla. Why have an interview in the first place? He's probably had more interviews than matches ffs. It's not that I disagree with what he says, but I'm sick of him talking the big fight, when he should just f***ing get on with it and actually prove that he's the best midfielder at the club. It's pointless saying you have a Ferrari in the garage if its engines f***ed. He's done an interview because that's a footballer and that is part of his jo. If Leon Best does interviews, why should Barton not do one as well? If this is his attitude, then I am pleased. If he thinks he is still good and wants to prove himself, this can only increase his chances of success on his return. If remains a non-contributer, than we can remove him from his position at NUFC. Comments like these won't affect that either way. Tbh though, he's my favorite player at the clu, so I might be biased.

Regardless of all his past accomplishments, he did a poor job at his club the past few seasons. The combination of poor management and inept ownership has left the club in a precarious position.
-
We have plenty of English players, and more than meet any requirement that could be put on us, unless the BNP come to power. We need to just be signing good players.
-
He's nowhere near one of the first names on the teamsheet at OM so I can't see him acting the "big man" at Barcelona of all places. Currently, he is inferior to Toure, but he has potential to be on the same level or better and would be a very good asset due to his versatility and hard work.
-
The boy is one of my favourite players at the club right now, and I would hate it if he left. He's unquestionably talented and he works extremely talented. For OM he has played in the centre and on the right of midfield. He also did quite a fine job at right back. He's a very good player, but honestly I'm not sure if he's good enough to be playing for Barcelona. I'd wish him well if he went, but I think he'd be better off staying tbh. edit: I would have thought Benayoun a replacement for Deco rather than Cole.

Have to say, the combination of Ashely tight wallet and Hughton closemindedness to foreign based players is holding us back. If we are being frugal, than we need to be looking in the smaller European and global leagues.
-
Slightly gutted, I miss the player he was before that injury. best finisher the premiership has had since robbie fowler before that injury I like the player, but that is a ridiculous and outrageous statement. Good luck to him in Ukraine anyway. He'll br used to the cold, and their constant prescence in Europe will be a good platform for him to show the world that he can regain his old form.
-
If you want to appreciate Klose, just watch Cacau fantastic deisplay of uselessness over the course of a match.
-
I love the third place final. I love the WC. Even though my own teams outing has depressed and angered me this time, I still feel like it is too short.Want to experience as much as I can before it goes away again.

It's enjoyable to see PSG constantly throw Euros around without making themselves any better than midtable alsorans. Why the hell would you feel for him? He's a multi-millionaire who gets to play football for his job. The rest is superfluous. Russia isn't a rubbish league either. All the Moscow clubs have currency to burn and the money has made it quite competitive. He'll get more first team play, a chance to compete for serious silverware and a brilliant shop window in the CL.

Considering every Inter match is televised, I don't see why this would be a problem at all.
-
He was good. Explosive and showed alot of passion playing for Inter, had 1 season where he got 20+ goals...not bad for somebody who had 'better' players ahead of him. Like I said at the time Inter fans were on the majority dissapointed to see him go. They handed the keys to the team to him and Adriano in 2005-6. They're inconsitency was the team's downfall that season.
-
He was not superb at Inter. as always, he was great as the "third" striker, but he was too inconsistent to carry the team. There is a reason this is the only club he's every consistently started at. Good player, not one to build your first team around.
-
As others have said, Oba just left a club that had no European football for one in the CL. I bet he'll be getting paid too. Probaly more first team chances as well. He actually played quite well last year when given the chance/fit. How is Oba more loyal than Beye? Everyone likes him, just because of his personality, but he wasn't exactly bleeding our colours.

I don't see any reason it can't happen. If you can get to the knockout stage anything can happen really. All the West African teams, Egypt, US, Mexico, and Korea could all get a run and do it, imo. If you look at Holland they've only played one top tier team.
