This Africa United thing at this WC. I'm fine with African solidarity, but Nigerians supporting Ghana is a bigger national disgrace than email scams. It is like NUFC throwing themselves behind SAFC in a CL campaign. supporting our biggest rival because our own didn't do the job. Ghana are the team I would least like to win. It is there national pasttime to yab Nigerians. Much like Sunderland, I didn't hear anything from them the first 16 years of my life, but they have been a constant prescence since 2006, multiplying like bacteria. I hope Uruguay score G-h-a-n-a on Friday. 5-0.

It is not even rare for people to be put off by interracial relationships. I even know that from personal experience. Ghana were rubbish second half. They'll need to improve to have a chance against Uruguay. I thought they were very sloppy in defence. The US defence and central midfield are so average thar it is painful. I actually lkike their forward line and wings especially if Davies can recover and Adu ever comes around. The games last night and so far today have been brilliant for drama/tension. Algeria have probably the worst strikeforce in the tournament and it shows. They be decent if they had any threat upfront.

England should now just bench Heskey for the rest of eternity. He's not even the best English striker at his club (not even one of the ones in your country) and he's starting upfront!! Defore and Rooney should play the rest of the tournament, imo.

People will say Enyeama saved us, but he's the best keeper in Africa. This is not some fluke. We do miss Mikel Obi, though. I like Haruna and Etuhu will do for now, but Kaita is a wastepipe. The bottom line is that if Kalu Uche can hit an open net (the easiest chance of the game) we get a draw. Anyway, it is important we only lost by one. If Argentina take care of business against Korea and we get a positive resulot against Greece, it puts us in a decent position to qualify. What's up with Taiwo's injury..? According to the Nigerian papers here in Lagos, he is a gametime decision. The injury was not serious.

Cannot wait. I love the World Cup, and it's been eight years since I've had a team to support in it. Saturday is the day for me. Can't wait to watch us on the world stage even if every thing is not to plan. Still think we can grab second place in that group, despite all the problems. Would have felt much better with Mikel and Ike Uche, though. There really isn't a clear favorite, imo. A number a teams could win. Regardless, I am looking forward to taking in sport's greatest spectacle again.

I'm very annoyed right now. Don't like the cuts Lagerback made from his squad. Dropped Anichebe, Ikechukwu Uche, and Onyeachi Apam. Kept Utaka (), Kanu, and Shittu. I love Kanu, and he will forever be my favorite, but he is finished. Anichebe could have been an important physical prescence for us, and will be useful in the future. I know Ike Uche is struggling for fitness, but Utaka is quite literally one of the worst players going to the World Cup. They could have taken me over that wastepipe. Apam is also better than Mr. Shittu, imo. Bit off topic, but I've wondered for a while if you had an opinion on the old Obi Mikel transfer saga when he signed for Man Utd, but then went to Chelsea and in that way f***ed over his Norwegian club, Lyn, who now are bankrupt and facing relegation to the Norwegian third tier? I think it's nothing to do with the young boy and alot to do with predatory European clubs and greedy old men, most specifically Morgan Andersen and John Shittu. It an indictment of what's wrong with current system for young African footballers if anything. I feel bad for Lyn, I suppose. I know nothing about them, but they nutured Obasi and Obi so I wouldn't want anything bad to happen to them.

The players seemed to have some sort of plan. That was a massive improvement to what we've been treated too under Amodu Tbf man, it's only been two matches, both against decent teams. The team looked prepared and was cohesive. We do need Mikel in the middle though, as I thought the midfield lacked the composure to feew the ball well to strikers.

I liked the look of the team tbh. Obviously the result isn't what we would have desired, but several players impressed and the team was pretty industrious and played well together. Haruna Lukman was pretty good again and got himself a goal. It's absolutely imperative for us that Obi Mikel and Ike Uche get themselves fully fit, though. It's not all in place, yet but I think we can make noise in SA.
