A pisstake? I don't know, I just think there's something wrong in a world where 20 million pounds for James Milner is a "pisstake". He a good player, not a great one. I suppose since Villa paid a stupidly inflated price for him two years ago when he had accomplished nothing, they also wanted a stupidly inflated price. Another example of the ridiculous price for English players.

The players who just haven't been called up shouldn't count. Most of them are just aging/injured/in bad form players that have massive experience at this level. Have to consider the likes of Chamakh and Niang up front.

This is nonsense. The man has a salary of over 1 million USD for five bloody months (presumably for being white and foreign, as all he will do is the World Cup and some qualifiers before the contract expires), and now Euros want to act like we are not paying this man. If they weren't paying he wouldnt be there. Also, we don't have an FA....we have a football federation, which only serves to make this more erroneous. The rampant stupidity on display from CAF is shocking as always. Issa Hayatou has been president of CAF for longer than I have been alive, and clearly he has no clue. The day he leaves will be a good day for our football. How are we meant to do the qualifiers for 2013 in only one year? Maybe I am misnunderstanding, but apparently the qualifiers for the WC and the ACN will now be seperated. This means we have to play even more qualifying matches. After the disaster that was Angola 2010, is it really prudent to give Libya less time to prepare to host the ACN? I don't see how anyone benefits from a 2013 ACN, though I'm sure someone is pocketing money. I'm fine with it being in odd years though.

The boy can't even start for MLS? Good to know. There are some lunatics on the Nigerian forums who think he ought to displace same NT players starting every week in top European leagues.
-
I think Pompey steal this, Kanu to come on and skillfully bundle in the winner.
-
Can't believe Argentina left out Lucho, Lisandro Lopez, Cambiasso, and Zanetti. They were all playing so well during the league seasons. Then again, I'm quite pleased with anything that weakens them before June 12.

Same as last season, black away kit, black third/European. Once again a third kit that I love and a rather average away kit. It will probaly grow on me though.
-
Don't say that. It's like saying that you've been lucky to be blessed with good health only to die of sudden death syndrome.

They are always giving us beautiful shirts. I simply must have this one. The team will probaly never wear it though. The black kit this season was not heavily used at all. I want it. I'll buy that. I loooove Marseille shirts.. already have four. btw, congratulations on the title Minister.. Remember when I told you at the start of the season that this will be OM's season You must have been a soothsayer to predict that. I had given up on the title in late January, but then Bordeuax collapsed and l'OM haven't lost a meanigful league match since. I would have laughed if someone said OM would be double champions. Now just need to decide between Kabore, Taiwo, Lucho or Gignac( ) for the back.

I'm so very happy we didn't have to deal with the playoffs.

You've never won the Intertoto, you are inferior to us.

Essien is not a defensive midfielder. He doesn't play there for Ghana. He didn't play there for Lyon. Mikel and Makelele have often played behind him for Chelsea, and while he can be a DM, it is not his favoured position at all. Also, he had two poor seasons in succession now. He's still better in that role than Cambiasso, even if it isn't his best postion, which is more box-to-box. How on earth has he had 2 bad seasons in a row? More ridiculous African hostility no doubt Imo, Essien isn't really that tactically disciplined, so he's not a great DM. One of the top five central midifielders though. I'm quite sure Essien has played less than 30 total matches over the last two Premiership seasons due to injuries suffered with Ghana. For what he is being paid these are bad seasons.

He was employed in Israel at the time of the 2006 WC. He did it to represent his club.

I saw Nicaulae is free from Auxerre. He was incredibly awful last season, but was top notch this one in an Auxerre side that has generally been fantastic and greatly overachieved. He's a decent player all around but anything but prolific. I think we need a goalscorer if we're going for a forward, personally. Who do you rate out of Perrin and Ebonda? Loic Perrin is a far superior player to Ebondo, but I think he may have options in bigger places and will be more difficult to obtain. Ebondo is just the definition of average in Ligue 1. I think he could cut in it the Premiership, but he's nothing special and probaly isn't too mcuh of an improvment on Simpson and the Taylors.

I wonder if Mikel will run around with the St. George's cross when we score in SA. Most despicable player on Ghana's team.

how can someone not like fulham Really I just hate John Paintsil. One of my least favorite players in world football. Really I just dislike Fulham because he plays for them.
-
I hope Atletico destroy Fulham. Really don't like that team.

I know the list is a typo, but at some point over the last ten years Nigeria stopped producing wingers, so we always bring a massive amount of strikers. I'm quite happy with the squad. It looks like Lagerback is actually selecting the best players and those that are in form whihc has been shockingly rare in the past. I see that Onuoha and Aogo aren't on the list. I thought both could have been helpful as depth at least, but honestly to hell with them, and to hell with all these African players who only want to play for African teams when the White nations don't come calling. The Kanu situation is worrying though. I love him, and he's my favorite athlete throughout childhood, but he's finished and probaly shouldn't have a spot even in the 30. From my count, we have 12 players that play as forwards for their clubs, but several of these players are versatile and will be utilised by Nigeria as wingers, wide forwards, or attacking midfielders.

Domenech took Ben Arfa over Benzema and Nasri I watch Ben Arfa week in and out for Marseille and Nasri is streets ahead of him. I'm very pleased that they picked Valbuena, though. He's been in great form for us.
-
Torres Has he really been a success though? He has 18 goals in 20 games this season, man.
-
Supposedly Niang is unhappy at Marseille. He's just finished winnign us the first title in 18 years so I'd be sad to see him leave, but I definitely would not mind if he did a Beye, and our aging Senegalese captain left for NUFC.
