It is our turn to experience glory. We are going to paint the world green-white-green. The trophy will not leave Africa!! I am quietly confident we can get out of our group. We've always given Argentina a game when we've played them, and we have no reason to be scared of Greece or South Korea. (No disrepect, I imagine they feel the same about us) If we manage that we would play France/Uruguay/Mexico/SA in the second round. Not scared of any of these teams. From that point anything can happen. People are writing us off, but I like this. Underestimate Naija and our Super Eagles at your own peril. As for US-England, I am going for US, tbh. I like it when the colony punishes the master. I hope we can do the same to them one day.

He's mental, born in Belgium so his age is not in question, he's like Altidore but with technique. Don't know when being compared to Altidore became a complement. What does he have 1 or 2 goals in 28 appearances this season? Not to mention his attitude problems. He's Balotelli with less talent.

Still, Atletico are vastly more talented than Fulham. Actually Wolfsburg and Juventus are both far more talented than them. I'd be dreaming either way as a Fulham supporter. Ridiculously presumptuous to talk about Fulham in the final though. 0-0 away isn't a great result. One goal by Hamburg at the Cottage and things get murky.

If our striker force next season consists of Carroll and Lovenkrands than I believe we will definitely struggle. This is an idea I can support. Kezman, I just don't see our coaching staff changing our system to placate a young "luxury player" as you put it. He would probaly start when we played 4-5-1, but I think to this point Hughton has favoured 4-4-2. Much like Nolan, I really think he is competing with the second striker for a position on the field. I think he might actually be a better option off the bench anyway, running at tired legs and creating. Oga please enlighten us on the prospects of signing Mevlut Erding who we have been recently linked with in the French media. Also, what kind of player would he be? Oga Finally someone greets me the proper way. Honestly, I don't see why Erding would come. We should have been in for him while he was still at Sochaux. PSG are rubbish, but he'll be on rather good wages, and I'd imagine bigger clubs would be in for him. If he leaves it will probably be for a team competing in Europe. He's a very good player, though. Very skillful and has great pace and has looked pretty good in front of goal this season. He's very exciting to watch, and seems quite durable/strong as well. I think he's headed for great things. This is his first season at a decent club and he's been a undoubted success. Sessegnon (I wish he born a country to the right. We could use him with Mikel and co in midfield.) and Hoarau would be great signings from PSG as well, but they are also probably going to bigger clubs.

Isn't he past it/not reliable as much as he used to be? I think it was two or three years ago that he played for every single second of Everton's Premiership campaign, so I doubt he's reliable as before. Still a good player, imo though. Seems lie the French media are hyping up the idea of Andre Pierre Gignac coming to Marseille in the summer. I am right now expressing how pleasing this would be to me. I think a striker like him to lead the line is one of the last pieces to being the definitive best team in France and also European contenders. Much better than the likes of Brandao and Morientes.

Taarabt would require playing a five man midfield and no Nolan. I doubt he's starting every game, man. In fact, he'd probaly come off of the bench if we signed him. Maybe slightly unrealistic, but how about Sidney Govou? He'll be 31 next season, so aging a bit, but he's out of contract in the summer. I think he's been a very good player for quite a while now. Would be good as another option on the wings or upfront. Also, with the recently released information about him having intercourse with underage immigrant prostitutes, maybe some clubs will be scared off of him.

What? First of all, La Liga is not exclusively Spanish. I think Yaya Toure could kick the hell out of 99 percent of footballers. Secondly, I think in the modern game the levels of physicality do not differ as heavily across Europe as they once did.

Very average player. He probaly could play in the Premiership, but he really is nothing special at all. M'Bia was a pretty decent player, though. He's found a home at centreback it seems.

Well I'm convinced. he's spelt his name wrong It'd be hilarious if the extra "e" was actually a typo from the real Defoe.

Glad Barca lost. The media spectacle over them has gotten ridiculous. They play good football and they have the world's best player. Why does this require me to like them? It's not like they are some gods to football. I hope Inter and Mourinho survive the second leg and beat Lyon in the final.

I must say I'm very comfortable with the thought of Christopher being our manager, and I wouldn't have imagined saying that in August.

It's funny how life and football can be cyclical. Last season we were relegated by Villa, who's supporters were beaming with excitement at their accomplishment. This season, we have become The Relegator, and are crushing the dreams of teams less fortunate than ourselves. Dancing with excitement throughout their stadium, as everyone involved deals with the prospect of inevitable failure and heartbreak.

Still intending to honor this, now that you have met your part of the bargain. I think Mourinho will save you a few Euro.

Started one league game. He's 5th choice behind Jags, Heitinga, Distin & Yobo. He'll leave at the end of the season. I have a feeling Moyes will sell Yobo to raise funds as well, he'd be a good signing for you lot. would that be joseph "what goal am i defending?" yobo as an everton fan friend of mine put it recently he doesnt rate him He's prone to the odd daft mistake but in general he's a good defender. Been a great servent to us for about 8 years now, far better than the likes of Senderos. He'd be a great signing for us. Senderos would be decent too. I'm sure he used to play RB, is he better there or in the middle? Do you mean Yobo? I don't think he really has the lungs to play right back the way he used to very early in his career. He was always better in the centre anyway. Would be a very good signing I think. I'm not his biggest fan, but he's a talent defender with a pretty good fitness record and massive Premiership experience. Very good for a side coming up.

Fabianski?! I'm surprised they let this guy play after Porto. He looked concussed throughout the duration of that match, and has been error-prone generally. I'm surprised they do not use that Mannone. He's looked good when called in and is supposed to be the future #1 in London.
