Yeah, because Barton's offence was just as serious. I'm very willing for the club to pay someone who got in a fight while out on the town. I'm not so willing to have a sex offender on my books. Why don't you use Luke McCormick as an example for why we should have sacked Barton as well? What about this case has determined that hegets 18 months in prison? Does he have priors in the country or something? Seems excessive. I also have to question why he has to deal with the stigma of being a sex offender. I dislike Marlon King, but I dislike unfair treatment a fair bit more.

For once, David, we can agree. It was great stuff. Kieron Gibbs impresses me every time I see him. This World Cup will probably be too soon for him, but he is sheer class. I quite liked the other full back as well, Gilbert. Gibbs is really good, unfortunately this World Cup imo is a year too soon for him (an Arsenal fan i know at Uni is sure he will be going) I've always really liked Gilbert but Arsene doesn't seem to! Been out on loan quite a bit failing to impress at most when he played for Arsenal first team (third time now i think) he has always looked good! The first two times were about 3 years ago! Oh and Nasri was my MOTM not Ramsey (He was very good though) Nasri is a brilliant player, he's still developing and he will top, top clas in my opinion. Is Clichy the next big Arsenal star to get sold, and replaced by a youngster? (excluding Cesc of course )

You're taste is appalling man, really

Rafa seems to trust him. He started against Man U. Pretty sure we were linked to him in exchange for Taylor at some point.

What? Seriously now, you are joking, right? Who is supposed to be first then?

Collymore wants new PL where we're guaranteed a place
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Superior Acuña's topic in Football
This is literally the worst idea I have ever heard. It's utter insanity. -
Ebondo isn't anything but decent. We actually could probaly still acquire him if we put out the cash. I watch M'bia pretty much every week now, and I'm yet to really be impressed. How much do you think the likes of Peter Whittingham or Nicky Maynard would cost us. Maybe we could try and revive the career of David Odonkor? We could probaly get for less than free at this point.

What exactly is supposed to have happened then? What woman did he assault? If the person who stabbed him in the legs also assaulted his mother, then what exactly occured there? Makes very little sense.

Real are basically Newcastle, if Newcastle had a never-ending supply of funds. They are such a joke. They should have just kept Ramos and kept a little bit of stability to accompany all the changes in the playig staff. That would have made far too much sense though.

Phil Brown leaves Hull?...No, but the chairman does.
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to bowlingcrofty's topic in Football
Would be a shame if he left Hull. How often does a manager end up at a club where the team colours exactly match that of his own skin. He's more than a manager there. He's like a mascot. -
I've been through 3 relegations and seen us in some of the most s*** grounds in football and not being bothered means I'm not a proper fan, OK. Selling the name is no different to selling the shares to the stock exchange. Except for the part where it enrages the majority of fans who do not see it in this way.

Jonas to Barcelona‽ I don't particularly dislike any of them (well maybe Owen), but if Oba, Jonas, and Owen end up at the German, Spanish, and English champions respectively, I won't be all that happy.

Ashley to keep club, put £20m in and consider stadium naming rights
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Ashley17's topic in Football
I cant read that without an American voice narrating it in my head... It's just a direct copy of the article from Reuters. It's not as if the NYT have someone standing outside St. James Park fishing for details. -
would we f***!! where do Arsenal play?? was Boros ground not called the cellnet! the guy is a grade A (soz cath) c*** I've always been amazed that Arsenal's stadium ended up being known as the Emirates in the popular lexicon. I thought for sure, it would be referred to as Ashburton Grove by Arsenal fans at least.

Sad to say it but this is right. He's performed pretty damn well for Argentina, and to him this season is pretty much a write-off in his career.

http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11678_5655909,00.html We've already signed someone from Slovenia in the last year, so who knows, maybe there actually is something to this story.

Embarassing how little they care, tbh. I know they have bigger things in mind, but that really is just a disgrace. Hope they lose by twice as much as the Bernabeu.

St. James Park as presented by Newcastle Brown Ale.

I think probaly 70-80 percent at all levels of football spit profusely. It's part of the game. Will be hard to implement that one.

Ashley to keep club, put £20m in and consider stadium naming rights
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Ashley17's topic in Football
If it saves us selling anyone else in January it will be a start tbh. Do you believe that will be the case? So why not accept the £60m up front from Moat with £20m to be paid next year. He would rather "invest" a further £20m than take £20m less!! As always it does not make sense and just implies that he was never serious about selling the club. Oh and if he is going to do his "best" to achieve success for Newcastle, he would not be appointing Hughton as manager. Next time you're buying property, offer 75% of the price, and say you'll pay the rest in a year's time. See what happens. Money today is always worth more than money tommorow. The two offers are in no way the same. -
Ashley to keep club, put £20m in and consider stadium naming rights
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to Ashley17's topic in Football
If he's putting money into the club, then it's only a good thing. It is my personal opinion that any sale or transaction involving the club should really wait until the offseason period. I think any talk of a sale is just massively disruptive to what the club needs to achieve. -
This shouldn't be a problem. The principle of the action is rubbish, but that's football these days. It will always be St. James Park. Just because Tesco or some other disgusting company owns the naming rights doesn't change that. The only way Newcastle United's stadium will ever be known as anything other than St. James Park is if we move to a new one.

I'm actually very much in favor of this, but lord, the thread title is depressing. "Hughton manager until 2011" Have to admit my heart sunk a little when I read that.

King Kanu back on the score sheet. :colo:

Feel bad for Ramos. Tottenham didn't work out, but he's been a success everywhere else. Did a brilliant job rescuing Madrid's season last year and didn't even get a chance to start his last job. Insane overreaction to sack a manager this early into his tenure.
