Nope not at all, but the expression "fat cockney rapist" while funny, is childish to say the least. Get down off your high horse, man. It's not entirely PC and I feel a little uneasy having held it without knowing what it said but that's football. No one died. Wasn't the point of the protest set to make Ashley feel uncomfortable for the embarassment he's brought to our club? Surely by bringing such a childish banner they only subjected us to more potential embarassment from fellow supporters and the media. I'm glad the protest went well but the wording of the banner seemed a bit uneccessary. f*** him, he knew the risks. I suppose all potential buyers will know the risks as well, then.

Nope not at all, but the expression "fat cockney rapist" while funny, is childish to say the least. Definitely, but Im all for it now. Banners wont help our cause anyway, we may as well be as hurtful as possible (within the truth) But Ashley isn't a rapist, so it's not the truth. That's actually funny.

Mallorca are on top form, but they play positive football and we seem to only be struggling against sides that play deep and leave no space on the last third (Kazan, Osasuna, AlmerÃa...). We should win. Chelsea last year and Rubin this year (Chelsea did beat you, btw)have defeated Barca with this style of play+extra physicality, which is totally fair, and something you'd think would be likely to be picked up and used by pther clubs.

Sunderland outplayed Spurs for sure, but Gomes played well. Sunderland didn't have too many clear chances, best one was the fat man hitting the cross bar. Penalty was controversial to begin with, but Gomes saved easily. First Spurs goal was somewhat lucky, but the second was brilliant. What on earth happened in your signature, btw Niel?

I could not give a damn about the first one. If Ashley spends enough and oversees the resolidification of us as a Premiership clubs then things will be alright. The past can be forgotten. The future is the concern.

He's garbage, rubbish of the lowest type. He's had one mildly prolific season in his entire career. Even for Auxerre and in the South African PL he wasn't exactly banging the goals in. Still, he tries hard, and I'd probaly prefer him to Harewood, who apparently doesn't give a damn. Following from another thread: Moritz Volz. Only 26 as well.

The patchy number nine - reflecting on Oba's time at Newcastle
Segun Oluwaniyi replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
The way he played for us he didn't get to use it much. It was one of the most frustrating things to watch when he would get the ball with back to goal, go on a mazy run in the wrong direction and eventually pass to Butt, who invariably lost the ball. Last year the injury definitely hampered his speed, but it seems to be back now. I watch him a fair bit more than others in this forum because I have other interest in him, and I can say that I think he is a good asset to have because of his style and attributes, but he will never be a leader or great player for Nigeria or any club he joins. He's mentally weak and thoroughly inconsistent. -
Amazed that Volz is still available...We should definitely sign him. No clue how a 26-year old with his pedigree is walking around unattached.

Everton have had a horrendous start injury wise, and the supporters should be content knowing they are still contending for their goals at this point. Treading water, before snapping at the jugular vein that is the European places. As for Rafa, we should remember that rising expectations lead to revolution. The bar has been set, and he is falling short. The people want change. Change shall come about. Rafa's days are numbered.

Are Yobo and Yakubu looking fit at all?

Lille-Genoa and Fulham-Roma should be very good games tonight. Lazio-Villarreal could be crucial as it seems Salzburg might run away with that group. Really don't remember them being this good.

an absolute rocket Very similar, only instead of going left and with the left foot, going inside and on his right (weaker foot I think?) Finally, I've seen it, and it's pretty fantastic. Lovely goal. Not as good as Martins v. Spurs though. Maybe it's because I watched that live, but I still haven't gotten over how quickly that ball was in the net.

What about the most traditional cup competition in the world...the E:on sponsored FA Cup (or at least was). Can't remember much fuss over that. And the....Barclays Premier League!

Saw that Arsenal was a new ground not a renaming - so its a bit different tbh. Didn't know White Hart Lane had a change of name Edit: it must be referring to Spurs proposed new ground I guess. A new stadium is different, but it gives the club who has that an advantage when it comes to getting money in. I can see more and more clubs doing this and was only a matter of time tbh. We just set the ball rolling. I don't really even see why this so much different than everything else. The game is corporate, but the club and the stadium will be called what the supporters call them.

How's it going for the players who left Newcastle?

He's also playing in the Premiership and is on a three-year contract instead of a one-year contract. I think he feels fine. -
Benfica were beaten 2-0 by Braga at the weekend. Amazing you can type Benfica into Google with such alacrity. Everyone said 'Oh Benfica have been class this year x amount of goals x amount of home wins' yet no one had actually seen them or the teams they had played. I even said 'They've not actually played any of the bigger sides.' They come up against one in the form of Braga and they get beat 2-0. They were most likely exhausted from raping Everton.

. thats quite a good idea. easier to get the numbers and cause a bit disruption. it would mean them having to get the police in to clear the protestors. you'd probably get a lot of shoppers joining in too. easier to organize than a huge demo at SJP and would cause more problems. still should have a protest at stadium, but the ones at the stores would allow those not comfortable joining in at the match to vent their spleen. i was talking about this at work today, 500-1000 people walk into Sportsdirect at eldon square at midday on Sat afternoon and just sit down, block everything, tills, doors etc....no one can move in or out and nothing gets sold, then at 1pm everyone gets up and walks to SJP, join in any other protests, then goes to the match. I feel like interrupting the operations of a business is something that warrants the intervention of police forces. Not sure this a bright idea.

Wouldn't want him back. You're insane, then. I would literally take all of these players, back. Except Owen , who I dislike. -
Just saw the highlight, reminds me of when Oba did the same against Spuds away few years back. (Closer range, mind) If it's anything like Oba's against Spurs, than I must see this goal. Sounds like a thunder bolt of dynamite. My favorite types of goal. Ok Minister, i've gave you my bank details, when am I getting the $8 million? Bloody hell, man!

When were we "nailed on to be relegated"? It's not like we were Derby or Watford for goodness sake.
