That was probaly the most ridiculous dive in the history of football though.

This is one of the most ridiculous outrageous decisions in recent memory. It has been done solely as a result of the reaction from the insane British hype machine media. I guarantee you that this will not be enforced at anyother point during this season unless similar circumstances arise. Don't know why Celtic get such preferential treatment from UEFA. Reminds me of the Dida incident. Celtic failed to control their own supporters and ended up with a fan on the pitch who went out and touched a player in what was a potentially dangerous situation. However, it is Dida who is punished while Celtic don't even get a match behind closed doors. I guess because Dida is a "diving bitch". I really hate how the witchhunt mentality that the British media has towards some players (foreigners). I hate even more that Europe's highest football authority is actually influenced by thsi rubbish.
-
The vast majority of their players are foreign anyway. As long as they're decent footballers (which a few are) it shouldn't be a problem .

Could be a very good signing. It'd be an intelligent risk if they were actually going to spend anymore money. (like Xisco). No idea why Tuncay would even want to go to Stoke. He'll be ridiculously out of place.
-
Imagine if Kinnear was in charge. He'd probably start with Steven Taylor as a lone striker and leave Nile as an unused sub. Bit like Hoddle at Spurs a while ago, playing a f***ing CB up front and leaving the kids on the bench and wrecking their confidence And yet you've just suggested that we play a reserve team midfielder up front and leave Ranger on the bench. Donaldson is in the Smith role of being able to play CM and also as a striker. Ranger's just had a start too, not to mention numerous sub appearances so far this season. Donaldson hasn't appeared yet (to my knowledge) and it's surely worth chucking him in to see what he's made of. Not in the Premiership though. He should be a substitute at best.

Manchester United consistently get easy groups in this tournament. Even the year they were in last place they were aginst like Lille, Villarreal, and Benfica. (not easy, but also not perilously difficult)
-
Marseille are crap, there's no way they'll get 2nd. Our team definitely does not right now have the quality to really challenge Real Madrid, Barca, Man U, etc., but I see no reason why we can't make a run at AC Milan. They have regressed this summer quite abit and will struggle to be in the CL next year.
-
Real Madrid AC Milan Olympique Marseille FC zurich Not the worst possible group. We definitely have a chance to pip Milan to second spot and should be good for third at least. I'm really looking forward to it tbh. Both Oba and Michael have a very good chance of making it to the knockout stages.

Notts County aren't seriously signing Sessegnon are they? He's a class player who has no business being anywhere near Notts County. He's being payed plenty to play for a good club in PSG and has been linked with the likes of Chelsea. It would be ridiculous if someone with the world at his feet threw it all away to play for Notts County. I mean, how much more money would he get from them than a Premiership side? There is no way this can be true.

Oh yeah, Kezman would have been brilliant here as cover for Ameobi (best striker in the division) this season. Not so much at l'OM.
-
Why are you leaving for the Spanish Segunda Division. Kezman....he's moving to Betis in the 2nd division. God, i remember him for PSV. We should have got him if that's the case! I think Morientes fills our quota for past it strikers this season.

don't talk nonsense man, he has not one redeemable apect of his game. He's f***ing bollocks His short passing and tackling are fine. Just play him as a Makalele type working across the pitch instead of up and down. both are substandard man, didn't he lose more tackles than anyone in the league last season? And as for his passing, let's not start I said his short passing. And Makalele is still a big part of a good PSG Side. He was massive for them last season. It require very little, and while I'm far from "Wor Nicky's "biggest fan, but I can see why some teams may want him, be it Notts County or a Burnley who need a decent grafter who can possibly bring on some young lads. Right now he's nowhere near our first team, as he doesn't match up. We have Smith who is the tough tackling break up, who has better energy and stamina than Butt. Guthrie and Barton are the bit of quality and Nolan is a slight attacking threat. He's finished here to be honest and I can see him asking for a move. Throughout both of their careers, Makalele has been far superior to Nicky Butt and he remains far superior in the present.
-
Nicky Butt will not work in any midfield of any top flight club in any of the top five or six leagues in the world. He is rubbish. Just likw bread that has been covered in mold, he is expired.

I find it pathetic, that I am disappointeed that Steven Taylor might leave this club. Same with Duff. The fact that I am saddened by their departures show we have really fallen. I expected the actually talented players to leave, but you'd expect these type boys top stay. edit:Midds I truly did expect someone connected to the club like Taylor to stay one year in the Championship to try and bring us back. He isn't Oba or Bassong, he grew up here.
-
That Banega kid was has been disasterously bad since leaving for Europe. Not what Everton need at all.
-
Lee Young Pyo was never anything more than a solid good player. To call him one of the pest in Europe is kind of ridiculous.

Sebastien Bassong signs for Tottenham Hotspur, fee undisclosed

Zog was not close to being our best player at any point. His contributions were never that great, and his reputation has been aided by his absence. -
Who the hell are the three better than him? Can only think of Jagielka who's better, Yobo is **** these days, not a patch on what he was a few years ago. Yobo and Senderos are both better than Taylor. Don't really see this decline in Yobo you've seen. If anything he's makes better decisions now. Some will laugh at Senderos, but I haven't seen anything in Taylor's career to suggest he's better. In fact, last year his best games came at right back.
-
We really couldn't afford to lose him. Something that strikes me from the article is a quote from Hodgson. "...has done well at Newcastle given the turmoil there." It's good to see that even the managers of other teams think that playing for this Godforsaken club is a handicap on the players.
-
Even if Everton do sell Lescott, they will have three centrebacks better than Taylor on their books. The move doesn't make sense for Steven.

Jonas looks top class whens he with Argentina, so I don't see why he should be shamed for Milner accomplishing something with his country.
