King is nothing but trouble. Guy has managed to steal a car, rape a girl, fight a teammate, and fight with his int'l team during his career. Not at all worth bringing him here. Yep, that. He only used it sparingly when he was with us (Spanish league enforced a 1-11 starting lineup), but it became attached to him nonetheless. Since then, it has only been worn by his son Jordi, Ammunike (don't laugh), Ezquerro (who ended dropping it for 17), Gerard and Henry. Bar Cruyff himself, everybody up to Henry have been notorious flops, so the talk was that the shirt was cursed. This man's career pretty much just stopped after he joined Barca. He got there, played a few matches, and messed up his knee. All of a sudden he was in his mid-thirties gtruggling to get a job with a team in the Middle East. Football can be brutal. He was a very good player up until that point though. That seems to happen to a lot of Nigerian player as it happens. Funny. I have always felt bad for him. His career should have been better. Didn't more to Europe until he was about 24/25. In those 1993-1997 years he was just great. Was awesome in '94 WC and ACN and for Sporting as well. Then he goes to Barca, tears his knee and is out for about three years. he ought to have been up there with the best ever African players.

You're all going on as if Motson, Lawrenson, Tidesley are s*** hot. They're not, they're all crap. I can't think of one commentator, male, female, black, white or hermaphrodite who is a decent commentator. Shame Derek Rae can't get exposure in UK and other better markets. He's probaly my favortie commentator. I also like Andy Gray, though part of that derives from my grandfather's (Wolves supporter) raging hatred of him. Whenever he hears the man's voice he starts off on a long angry story about how his signing started Wolves descent into oblivion.

You'd might be best off not getting anyone longterm. With Busquets, Yaya, Keita already at the club, I don't think you can afford to carry another holding player (Even though Keita isn't really one of those)

Really??! I'll admit I'm not familiar with the politics at Barca, but it seems as though things are going relatively well.
-
Especially odd, as we seem to find out about most transfer dealings on the club website under this regime. This has been one of the longest transfer sagas we've had that actually came to fruition.

Economics should weigh over sentiment.

I have to watch going on this website in the library man. I get weird looks having naked black men on my screen. They might get the wrong impression. I mean you lot put the pictures of near naked women under NSFW spolier links. You can't do this for the much more incriminating photos of naked men?

Jonas is literally the best player in the entire world not playing in the top flight. I'd prefer he was on the pitch. we miss him even more than Oga Shola.

Barca are different. They play full 4-3-3. Hell, they almost play 4-2-4 if you consider the positions Iniesta takes up. Kind of like Chelsea and Man U, the positions become blurred because the players are so good and they spend 90 percent of most games entrenched in other team's half. For us, when we play the formation, things become narrow because all the people we play there look to cut inside. Until we get Jonas back and Lovenkrands fit it will look flat, as will 4-4-2. Also, Barton has no business on the wing. If any of our centre midfielders play wide it should be Guthrie

He was benched for the match against l'OM after a poor performance in Serie A and I heard he was dropped completely for the weekend.
-
People act like Liverpool and Chelsea are long ball teams but they are 1 and 2 in the league in passes completed. The truth is that both of them control the match and kill the other team off by dominating possession of the ball. Man U and Arsenal are more attacking but do not dominate possession as much.

Very pleased with these two signings. The Georgian especially could have actually helped us last season. Premiership quality players in my opinion.
-
Or praise us for anything like having a higher attendance than a team at the top of the Premier League Newcastle's support is fantastic, undoubtedly. However, when Chelsea's staidum in filled up 99 percent to the maximum, whn ours is 8,000 under capacity, it's not worth boasting about. We should boast about the likes of Sunderland, Wigan, etc, who actually cannot fill their stadia.
-
I'm not supporting Chelsea fans or anything, but their stadium was about 99 percent full. It is a bit crazy to criticise a team for this.

Could have something to do with SJP holding about 10, 000 more than Stamford Bridge. Stamford Bridge wasn't full. They had 41 out of 42 thousand or something like that.

Bit easier playing for Lyon, instead of St. Ettienne who were awfully rubbish last year. He'll get his form back unfortunately. Draw will do fine for me anyway. Lyon and PSG both lose two points. Good.
-
Chelsea will be damn hard to stop this season.

I think Drogba is actually more talented than Zlatan, but his performance don't reflect that. I know the player I'd want on my team.
-
What's the deal with Atletico? They've been terrible this season.
-
Drogba is a better all round player for me, as is Torres Notice, I inserted the word consistent. Drogba has only had one season in england to challenge what Ibra has done since moving to Inter. I loved the guy at Marseille, but he is the opposite of consistent. Drogba was poor under Scolari when he was struggling with injuries but pretty damn consistent over the last 4 years apart from that period Last year 5 league goals. The year before 8 league goals. Both Oba and Owen have outscored him in this period.
