  1. Gomes makes some bad decisions. Hopefully they're a more costly one coming in this match.
  2. Considering the total lack of service he's had... It not like he's Owen. He's 6'4" with a head of stone. Players like that don't usually disappear. We're not even playing decent long ball.
  3. I'm surprised at how little we've seen Carrol. Lucky not to concede there.
  4. How can we fail for the same corner Tottenham always do? Be prepared ffs.
  5. Really not enjoying where certain players are on the pitch. At times Butt is our highest midfielder, while Duff is stuck back at the defensive end.
  6. Why the f*** would Gomes be able to speak English? It's a bot crazy to expect that of him.
  7. His brilliance contributed to our winner last time around. That is literally the only thing he has produced the entire season.
  8. Dawson is playing?! Sheeeeeeeit. Oba has to get on the pitch at some point then. I don't really like the 3-5-2, but if it prevents us from being destroyed in the middle, then so be it. Glad Carroll gets the start as well, earned it with some of his performances off the bench. Though personally I would have played a back four, as I don't think this is the match to have Duff playing left back.
  9. ro be fair Xisco has started 3 and scored 1. I could name 20 strikers in the league who make him look like Van Nistelrooy I agree it's not entirely his fault he hasn't impressed because he hasn't been given much of a chance on the pitch. However, he must be doing something wrong in training to have the likes of Ameobi preferred to him by what, 3/4 different coaches now? Yep. Plus the fact that he's constantly out on the town looking like a t*** doesn't help. Same goes for everyone's best mate "Oba". How do you know he's constantly out on the town? People see a few pictures of players out on the town, and suddenly they think they know about their personal lives ffs. It's better that people know nothing and admit, then know one or two things and act like they know alot. Gomes is really a great shot stopper, and he has won Spurs points this year. I remember him being amazing against Man U. I rate him. I'm not going to do an eleven but any list like this should include Deco and the infamous Glauber Berti.
  10. What a foolish assumption. The Velodrome will be rocking tonight. This tie is not over by any means. Marseille shall prevail. This is nothing but a minor road block on the way to Istanbul.
  11. South Africa is two hours ahead of Britain I think. (Don't know how savings time and all those things play in.)
  12. Villa is better than Drogba btw. Drogba might be unplayable at times, but Villa is consistently great all the time. Currently ripping up La Liga despite playing for a team in chaos.
  13. tru dat bwoy I disagree. What is bwoy? Did you just call me, Messi, or Mikel gay?
  14. What about NAsri, Mikel Obi, Diaby, Walcott, Luka Modric, Wheater, Kompany, or other young players that actually play important roles for ther clubs instead of looking decent for ten games.
  15. That young players list is shameful. Just awful, and the main one isn't much better. It's like the list was made a 12 year old Chinese girl wearing a Man U number 7 shirt.
  16. You don't think saying that was just a little bit stupid? Oldtype is right when it comes to our recent run over Spurs. They have been the better team throughout it. That run only last like two or thee years though. We were usually better than Spurs before that.
  17. I can relate to this. I never knew this article existed until today but I have to admit I used the same basic method to choose Newcastle as the team I would support. Plus the fact that there is "stottie" bread (which is almost like my last name) clinched the deal. I've watched English football off and on since the 70s (WPIX in NYC used to have a prepackaged game of the week show) and quite a bit more since the advent of FSC. I couldn't watch these games any more without picking a team to root for and Newcastle was a natural fit. I actually feel bad because me rooting for a professional team is like the kiss of death. The New York Mets and New York Jets are heartbreaking teams to root for. Poor management, epic choke jobs and dreams of glory dashed upon the rocks have become routine. I mean, you guys can blame me for Allardyce and the ensuing mess simply because I started rooting at that time. And I know you guys will never look at me as a true fan. I'm not a fan like you when it comes to Newcastle but I am a fan like you when it comes to the American teams I grew up with. I've lived and died with the Mets and Jets for 40 years so I know how you feel about your team. Quite frankly, if Newcastle are relegated I would never be able to root for someone else. Even after just a couple of years i could never turn away because I've already invested too much emotionally to walk away. That's the kind of fan I am. All I have to say is thank God for the UConn Huskies because after 20 years of rooting for them, they ve given me two NCAA championships in the last decade. I guess I'm not a total loser It's only my second year of affiliation, but I must say I am quite happy with the level of success.
  18. The answer to that question is definitely Viduka, btw.
