  1. Everyone bar Hall, Butt, Barton, Best, Pancrate
  2. Am I the only one who thinks that was the right team to play?
  3. As far as the way they come across in interviews then i vote Nolan.
  4. When it comes down to it, the realistic options are only Harper, Jose, Colo, Nolan, Guthrie and Carroll, possibly Loven and Jonas. Went for Jose.
  5. Given Domi Distin Bassong Beye N'Zogbia Jenas Faye Emre Luque Owen Keegan
  6. Beckham, easily. I say this because Beckham could have the most all round influence on a game than the others mentioned in the poll, or any other Englishman of the generation.
  7. Yeah, we have plenty of quality set pieces and passers, but from the right side of the field there is no-one who can match Beckham's crossing or passing ability. The quality of our crossing has to be vitally important with the way that we play, i.e. full backs pushing up and lots of width. Add to the fact that Rooney gets in great positions, and even Crouch and Heskey score the occasional header for their size. Gerrard will probably play left side, giving us the need for more width and quality on the right.
  8. Lampard is better at both right now. Crossing and passing I mean. Beckham is absolutely finished. That well known right midfielder Frank Lampard.
  9. Probably Carroll, just ahead of Nolan.
  10. Beckham would be my first name on this list, if not one of the first in the squad. He has such quality with his crossing and passing that no-one else can match, and is deadly from set pieces.
  11. Not taking Upson is mental, probably starting over Ferdinand at this point.
  12. Harper Taylor Williamson Colo Kadar Routledge Nolan Smith Jonas Loven Carroll That's what I expect, personally would go with: Harper Taylor Williamson Colo Kadar Routledge Guthrie Smith Jonas Ranger Carroll/Shola
  13. GK: Harper LB: Enrique CB: Olsson CB: Taylor RB: Gunter LW: Jonas CM: Whittingham CM: Nolan RM: Ambrose CF: Boyd CF: Chopra

    Right sided midfielder

It should be Ryan Taylor, he has the best positional discipline for right mid
  15. Nolans just slower off the ball in general, so i dont see him being able to play a solid part in either going backwards or fowards even if he limited his game to only that. so nolan attempts box to box and does it poorly, what does smith do ? maybe if when we attacked smith pushed up 10-20yds or so he'd be another option to keep possession (even butt knows you can't just be a defensive midfielder for 90mins). of all the players available to us i'd be choosing 2 from guthrie, nolan and barton to play centre mid. Nolan pushes up into the area during our attacks to be an option, smith stays in the middle of the pitch roughly 5 yards up from the centre circle, the ideal position for a defensive midfielder. During attacks Smith should be the emergency option, always going to be open if everyone else is covered. Granted he passed shite tonight, but during attacks the job of a holding midfielder is to be open and and easy pass.
  16. Barton, Butt, Geremi are the only ones who NEED to go imo.

    Jonas Gutierrez

He was productive, just never looked flashy doing it while Jonas is unfortunately quite the opposite.
  19. Scored 32 in 90 in the premiership, by no means a bad ratio.
  20. Just got in from the game, Coventry were terrible. We weren't brilliant but whenever we attacked we looked threatening, even with the defensive central midfield. Everyone had solid games really, although Lovenkrands was poor. The referee was complete shite.
