The Sland result today may have done for us anyway however, we were far too cautious today. They'd list 11 in the bounce and we let them settle into the game, they looked happy with a draw and we left ourselves too little time to change the pattern of the game. We deserve to go down.

They had the same ends and there's plenty of Lpool fans who say that lessons were not learnt or passed on as there were some of the issues in the '88 game as well. The thing is that the jury has spent over 2 years listening to argument and evidence and have decided unanimously that the fans weren't to blame. The planning and actions from the police had to take that into account with a fully prepared plan if there were problems. The fans acted as fans do and did, the authorities failed them massively and treat them like animals. Justice.

Stoke were awful when we played down there, I just hope they've embarrassed themselves into a performance. On present form, Sunderland's pressing game should see them win. We're down and it's been completely avoidable. It's not like anybody has been in any doubt about what the simple solution was. Charnley should be sacked for keeping that clown for so long.
