  1. Well this is surprising isn't it? I've no idea what Rafa was expecting when he picked this side. Set up to be overrun.
  2. Why not start Sissoko at LB put Tiote in midfield and maybe start De Jong and leave Townsend or Gini on the bench? Honestly, that starting 11 is asking for a hammering.
  3. We haven't got a ball winner in midfield or anyone who will close down quickly. By picking the same players who've been awful away from home Rafa is more or less endorsing their performances. That side is awful.
  4. Playing Gini, Townsend and Sissoko (unless at left back) away at Soton is asking to get an absolute hammering and very very little possession.

It very much depends on the attitude of the players we keep and how we plug the gaps. The last time we walked it but the club was in turmoil pre-season. The mullering at Orient was a turning point and we got off to a good start. As soon as relegation is confirmed we need to get the manager situation resolved and find out which players don't fancy it and plan for their replacement. No doubt we'll dither and end up under prepared. Without doubt the manager position needs sorting as soon as the season ends.
  7. Nah, Colo was from the side, that was from behind
  8. Looking back the defining points in our season were actually pre-season. Appointing McClaren and then failing to buy a proven goal scorer and address the defensive issues paved the road we are on to The Championship. This relegation was totally avoidable; the failure to address these issues pre-season was careless at best, to then ignore them again during January was wanton negligence. Will heads roll; doubt it, Ashley will distance himself from the mess and insist it was nowt to do with him.

    Papiss Cissé

Linesman was flagging offside; but he wasn't.
  10. I think that could be called hand ball. Didn't attempt to get his elbow out of the way.
  11. something something relegation experience something fat sam better something Eh? It's what the 'I told you so' brigade will say when we're relegated. Fat Sam is better because he has relegation experience that Rafa doesnt have. What I highlighted in your post proves this. Obviously I'd hope by now that most people can see that most of the players either aren't good enough, aren't professional enough or are too thick for any manager to work with. Our line up against away to Soton will be interesting, I'll be disappointed if Rafa gives some of these another chance away from home.

  13. Hope he stays but he got his selection wrong. Sissoko and Gini are a waste of time away from home in midfield positions. I'd have played Sissoko at left back as Anita was always going to be targeted. De Jong deserved to start today with Gini on the bench or in the Metro Centre. I'll let him off for not starting Mitro as we needed goals and Cisse is more of a goal scorer. Hopefully he now has the mark of some of these cowards.
  14. We need to stop keeping away soft free kicks in wide areas. We failed to properly clear 3 free kicks that were dubious but easy for referees to give, players fall over and get a nothing decision. We have conceded loads of goals like this, it has to stop. I didn't think any were free kicks and the winner came from a ball where the player in the middle only got the chance to pass because of a hand ball. Anyway Championship here we come.
  15. I hope Rafa takes a machine gun to them during half time

Don't mind us losing tonight, there's players out there who aren't good enough.

Wot. I'm not disputing the contact, but Jagielka played for the free kick rather than using some strength. Don't think Jagielka could have stayed on his feet, he got a proper barge to be fair.

Milner is nowhere near international standard, never has been.
  19. Darlow had a mare and let a shocker in the last time I saw him.
