Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Best not to look. -
I get that Fraser doesn’t burn his defender with pace, he rarely ever did. He is a busy player when up for it and can deliver a ball. Give him a joined up midfield that can put him away and Wilson will hugely benefit.
-
Fraser was a complete waste when he came in, completely Bruce’d, he looked like he absolutely hated every minute. Second half of last season up to his injury he actually looked really engaged and put in some good performances (before his legs fell off after 70 minutes). Shelvey did well, our win ratio with him in shows that. But, against the top sides we were too predictable and not mobile enough. Paqueta changes that, we’d have a midfield pivot if we needed and the oppo wouldn’t more or less know who to discount from making a breaking run. Options man, the more the merrier. Midfield is key. BTW, in the very short term we still need back for Wilson more. Goals.
-
That’s a far bigger upgrade than Diaby for Fraser at the present time. We then have Paqueta, an established Brazil starter, in Bruno’s position and we still have Bruno. Shelvey is very 1 dimensional, not the best athlete and he restricts us. We’ve got to get the best out there when we can. Diaby can wait. If Fraser can stay fit and get a run he’s shown he can do ok. IMO we’ll be far stronger with Paqueta than Diaby. Also would like to think Paqueta would want to come and settle better,
-
If we can get Paqueta we have to take the opportunity. If he goes to say Arsenal, we’ll not be signing him at all (unless he flops). If we can also get Broja on loan then job done for me. I can live with Fraser for another half/ full season, Paqueta potentially transforms our midfield and crucially will increase our options in midfield. Shelvey has done well but you know what you’re going to get and he can’t exchange midfield positions. I get the feeling that Bruno and Paqueta could exchange and do so during a game if we needed to change things around. An upgrade on the right wing would be nice, an upgrade in midfield could be transformational. Get a decent striker in on top and we have a top 10 side and possible a little more.

They think her face looks like it’s melting. Most of them know some of the side affects of her disease but see her as fair game. The lion from The Wizard of Oz or face melt, take your pick (sure there’s been others as well).

Had the bbc app on which has a clip entitled a sensational goal for Sow for Switzerland. If failed to mention that the keeper must be 5”4” or something and instead if trying to dive decided that she needed to run across the goal a bit before flinging herself. It reminded me of that scene in Elf…it’s a hard watch.

Needs to straighten that picture, nearly fell over looking at it.

We’ll that was pretty shite.

Absolutely hate this commentator.

I can only see this happening if Parklands Golf Club is demolished which would be a real shame. Plenty of other courses around but where’s the next nearest driving range.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

So the only way to get value is to pay £15 more and go to both games and perhaps also take the kids twice. I’m very disappointed with the pricing, if it’s a sign of things to come then Joe Public will be priced out. If any fans group has a route to the owners they need to call this out. -

There’s no reason why a pre season kick about should be £20. Needs feeding back to the owners, they’re meant to get it. There’s a cost of living crisis and for some this would be an opportunity to at least see the team. I really hope they’re poorly attended. -
Fraser did well once he was fit and had a run of games. We absolutely need another striker, the difference Wilson made was huge far more than an upgrade on Fraser will have. If Broja can bring his early Soton form I’d be all for a loan/ option to buy. We could do with another top class midfield option. We’ve no idea how well Big Jo will find a second season in there (fingers firmly crossed) and there’s always a doubt about Shelvey while Willock has an awful lot to prove. Longstaff, I’m afraid he shouldn’t be anywhere near a starting place. We’re desperately short up front, there’s a real argument to say we need 2 forwards coming in.

Was too young to travel to this but remember listening to it. We took thousands to this game. The next round wasn’t too shabby either.
-
Much prefer the stitched crest albeit the u and n on United is almost free of any thread. Still better than the patch things from Puma. Pity I didn’t manage to get a sponsor free one.
-
I got a top for Father’s Day, exactly the same stitching at the neck.
-
Broja’s form seemed to drop off a cliff 2nd half of the season? Watched one game where he had a shocker.
-
7-1 Leicester for me. Seen more important games but for sheer joy it was absolute tops. That first half was phenomenal.
-
If the right players come available and want to come I’m sure we’ll spend what’s needed. FFP isn’t too much if a concern if we get the structures right.
-
Rain you say? You can hear it but can’t see it. There was quite literally steam coming from the Gallowgate when the winner went in. Wettest I’ve been without the game being called off. Apologies for the shitty link. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=newcastle+2+charlton+1+keegan&client=safari&hl=en-gb&biw=390&bih=664&tbm=vid&sxsrf=ALiCzsbx9oG8HK32tJu5ONq4qQiuPkzcrg%3A1656534755622&ei=47a8YoLIJYqO8gKolYugAg&oq=newcastle+2+charlton+1+keegan&gs_lcp=ChBtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXZpZGVvEAMyBQghEKABOgQIIxAnOgQIIRAVOggIIRAeEBYQHToFCAAQgAQ6BggAEB4QFjoFCAAQogQ6CAgAEB4QFhAKOgoIABCABBCHAhAUOgUIABCRAjoICAAQsQMQgwE6CAgAEB4QDxAWOgoIIRAeEA8QFhAdOgcIIRAKEKABUIkPWLnVAWDp3QFoCHAAeACAAbgCiAG_LpIBCTE5LjI2LjEuMpgBAKABAaoBEG1vYmlsZS1nd3MtdmlkZW_AAQE&sclient=mobile-gws-video#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:0cd19cfc,vid:H6DLpId18KI,st:0

Any reason given why the club only put 1k season tickets up for sale? Any link to a reduced capacity linked to ST holders?

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Let’s go for Tammy. Stop messing about with an agent looking to win the lottery on an unproven player.
