He had a fractured toe last season which kept him out for a long time. Prior to that it’s muscle and soft tissue injuries but for a young player he seems to pick them up at least once a season and he’s out 4 weeks or more. I think he’s a risk and I’m not too sure how good he is. I’d take Abraham over him if that was an option.

I’d be a bit surprised if DCL would want to come here and with his and Wilson’s injury record I’d be worried they’d be both out at the same time.

If you took away his passing stats for the 1st 10 mins of a game and unopposed 10 yard passes those stats would look a whole lot better. So glad they didn’t include stats on how he does in the oppo box ?. And yet, despite all that he’s been fantastic ????

You can’t be blaming fake tickets ffs, they should have planned for that type of problem. The pictures and reports I’ve seen show an incredibly narrow approach to the first check point where inadequate officials were in place and then there were only 2 (really?) turnstiles to use. The police and UEFA need taken to task here, it could have been much much worse. You can’t blame fans for foreseeable and indeed inevitable ticketing problems.

I think my enduring memory of Bruce was being 2-0 down at home to Brighton within 8 minutes with Bruce standing cluelessly on the touchline for the next 30 minutes. It was like he was watching witchcraft with Lamptey playing with a barrier around him allowing him to run unchecked down our left at will. It took him a full 40 minutes to work out what this witchcraft was and try and do something about it. I’ve honestly not witnessed anything like it. Pompey put 3 past us early in a game and Arsenal destroyed us early in the 4-4 game but that Brighton game was worse in my eyes, everyone but Bruce could see we’d been done tactically and where it was coming from. Bruce simply stood motionless on the touchline incapable of doing a thing about it.

Wilson is better than Ba imo. Pity he can’t stay fit, genuinely didn’t realise how good he was before we signed him. He’s top class, has no real weakness in his game. All that said we need to get someone in more reliable and preferably better. Howe is going to need to be ruthless.
