What do you suggest should be done? Not to put words in his mouth, but I think his suggestion would be that the "about 7 Twitter accounts" do more than fuck all to promote the boycott. Seems like a decent starting point to me. IRGWG, EmptyforAshley, NUFC360, TMG, and Wraith (I know) have all tweeted about this in the past 24 hours. I've seen plenty of stuff on social media, but those that need reaching are outside of that bubble. On the other hand, the Chronicle have covered it as recently as a day ago from a quick search on Twitter.

I haven’t seen any of this appetite apart from on here. It’s a very mixed bag elsewhere. The NUST survey was overwhelmingly in favour of boycotting both the Arsenal match and beyond, even when results were filtered to include only current ST holders. From my, admittedly small, sample of mates that went to the match, there's at least 7 season tickets already been binned off out of around 10. These are people that put up with the worst of Kinnear, Pardew, Carver et al., and 2 miserable relegations. I think a lot of people have reached their tipping point and find it so demoralising to see people like you (I realise you've jacked in your ST) saying boycotting flat-out won't work. There's never been a sustained, targeted boycott of NUFC under Ashley so how can you possibly know that? I see this as comparable to the contrarians who warned people to be careful what they wished for in ousting Pardew. It's such a short term view. Things may (and probably will) have to get a lot worse before they get better, but that's the risk we all have to take.

Official gate will be tickets sold which i think will be approx 42/43K. A proportion of season tick holders won't actually go and the actual gate will be something like 38/39K I'll be there and don't care whether anyone else goes or doesn't go. Not to be an arsehole, but why exactly will you be there on Sunday? I’m guessing it’s because he wants to watch a game of football played by the team that he loves. I’m not going myself, but to be honest I wish I was. This. I can't understand how you can still "love" the team in its current incarnation. It exists to merely exist to allow Ashley to plaster his tatty adverts all over the ground. The club is sold as a stepping stone to prospective players. That is not what NUFC was about and it never should be. If you're happy to fund that then fair enough. It's immensely disappointing that some people are wearing their continued support of the team as a badge of honour while others are trying to make a stand for the greater good of the club's future.

He actually says he knows Bournemouth is/was a smaller club n'all. If that's the case, why can we not compete with them, Matt? The radge fucking prick.

I think The Athletic had us down for 19th as well.

They've signed up Michael Cox (Zonal Marking guy), if you rate him?

The app is slick as fuck, like. But that quote Wullie highlighted doesn't sit right with me at all; it's absolutely lifting regardless of whether he apologised or not for it.

10 whole years, man. So sad to see what we've become in that time. I didn't realise the SBR foundation had raised so much money, tremendous stuff.

Got the tone just right. A fucking laughing stock.

Bet they'll all have a smug 'Where were you when we were shit?' attitude and think they've been the better fan too. Ignoring the reasons for us staying away in the 1st place. For those on ticket sales watch there'll be the likes of me and my Daughter who are only now cancelling. They'll probably take a few days to show. On the 10 year thing so half of next season paid for already but we're going to settle for cutting our losses. 21 years i've been taking her from her being 3 years old. Breaks my heart. 225 loyalty points between us gone. I had 182 and she had 43. Takes a lot to actually go through with it, well done man. I managed to convince my cousin to bin hers midway through the payment cycle as well. The siblings are keeping their tickets but will definitely boycott at least Arsenal and have promised to cancel their payments before the next renewal cycle is activated, should MA still be in charge. You'd think that all these reports of supporters with so many consecutive years of attendance and loyalty points jacking it in would trigger something in the minds of the "He'll not stop me from going!" brigade but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be the case.

His all time favourite player is Shola, man. What a wassock.

The comment about NUFC being a Championship club only 2 years ago is incredibly offensive. The gall of the srotum-faced, arselicking, dullard.

I am an outsider so feel free to disregard this post. Couple of points. Why is he is NUFC through and through a criteria to fill the most the important position in a 100 million dollar operation? This point is not just at Newcastle but at other clubs also. It also seems to be a common line to justify PFM appointments at other places. I get it if the person has a unique connection, best placed to incorporate a style of football due to his past connection with the club like Guardiola or Keegan. Or the person can use his legendary status to make changes which other people cant, like Zidane. But otherwise, does it matter? Especially with someone as shit as a resume as Bruce. I am dreading the time, the calls for Gerrard to take over, start in the media. If he is definitely NUFC through and through and has the club at heart, why did he manage Sunderland? It is not like he needed the money? He had opportunities to manage NUFC in the past which he turned down. Steve Bruce might have a soft spot for NUFC, but let us be honest. He is here because at this stage in his career, no other club with even half the profile of NUFC in the premier league would touch him with a bargepole. That is the only reason. He probably cannot believe the fact that he is at a PL club. He also knows that even if he fails miserably, as long as he is being discussed in the media (which your club will ensure due to its profile), PFMs are like whac-a-mole, will pop up somewhere. As an outsider you've nailed it.

Unfortunately I think mike is right on this one. You sir, are a rectangle.

If that's true:

Is that in total? Or are unsold season tickets added on top of that? No idea, I've just counted up the blocks with seats on general sale for the Arsenal game, depends if they're not putting non-renewed ST's on general sale or not, I'd imagine they would. The empty seats are spread right across the ground too, only the Gallowgate corner and the usual central areas of each stand are remotely full. There are still a fair few available in the corner, over a hundred if you include the bit on the East Stand. Must be years since there was such availability in that section.
-
This total will still include some ST holders that are indeed planning to boycott, as well as those that have actually chucked it but haven't had their seat updated on the website. They've only just made the seat available that I cancelled weeks ago.
