  1. He has a reputation for rarely giving interviews and has obviously been "advised" to steer clear of talking in public. His PR people fear he will shoot himself in the foot. Based on his tv NUFC interview at the end of last season and his performance today you can see why tbh ...
  2. Or we both read a BS story somewhere and were gullible enough to believe it
  3. Indeed. I believe Crouch was once asked what he would have been if he wasn't a footballer. He replied "a virgin".
  4. Weird, Llambias left the club 3 years ago. I wonder why he had any say on whether Barton should or should not join us last year? I didn't hear the interview but that sounds a bit like Joey visiting make believe land tbh.
  5. TCD and me clearly on the same page here.
  6. LVG interview proves he is such a c*nt - shocker.
  7. Wullie, take your point. But the team he was managing went from almost certain relegation to survivors somehow. A transformation took place. To continue the debate - have you seen anything since RB came in that you like so far?
  8. Clearly one of the best managers around, track record Champs League winner etc....But if any of his recent predecessors had picked some of those starting line ups they would have rightly "taken some stick". Surely it is pretty obvious that Lascelles on current form is worth a start. Playing Ginio as a holding midfielder (if he must play at all given his recent lack of anything) is surely not right on any level. Don't see anything Rapper has done that has moved us forward - so do I conclude that we are sh1t and you cannot polish a turd or RB does not have the transforming powers of someone like Nigel Pearson 6 games to go - time to turn it but those remaining fixtures man....
  9. Correct, he has no brain for starters. Townsend made him look like f***ing Einstein today. Is it me or do we seem to have the thickest players in the Premiership. The amount of free kicks we give away with dumb tackles in dangerous areas are ridiculous, and lazy passes and flicks you wouldn't see on a Sunday park at times. We're going own because we're awful and have been for a long while now. And to add to that there are the brainless offsides.... Which ones? Today my mind goes to Janmaat and Cisse.

  11. To folk who don't understand goalkeeping, sure. He been OK, at best. That's a more than fair appraisal. And us folk who don't understand goalkeeping are perhaps concerned that the potential replacement may be a bit less than "ok".
  12. Ashley is as thick as sh1t in a bucket when it comes to football. IMO he would actually get better publicity if he got rid of all the SD advertising at SJP (a controversial view I concede ). The crap that gets put out in the media comes straight from the plank Bishop. That interview (and all of our PR tbh) has Bishop's fingerprints all over it. Utterly clueless the pair of them.... http://www.kbapr.com/our-experience/
  13. Had hoped Tokyo Sexwale might get more support - no idea if he'd be any good at the job I just like his name.... he pulled out :'(

  15. Clearly never watched us play Actually said as much last time he was on. Wants the job.
  16. History suggests that isn't the way we roll.
  17. If the job did come up for grabs (big if) I doubt anyone we would want would even look at it. If I had to have a bet it would be on Sherwood sadly.
  18. Agree with most of that but I would love to see a natural, confident goal scoring striker playing alongside him. He does deliver some crosses that whistle past everyone, I'm not sure that a "predator" wouldn't work out a way to get on the end of some of those....
  19. Short term, it's potentially the best option. Him and Colo know each other's game well enough, and he normally has 4 or 5 good games back before losing concentration and getting sent off/losing concentration, being s*** and getting dropped/tripping over the touchline and getting injured. The next 3 home games are crucial (we can forget about getting anything from Chelsea away) and he's probably a better option than hoying Janmaat at CB and shoe-horning someone else in at RB or whatever other options we have available as a club. What have we come to as a club man?? It's not so new. I can remember a few injury induced stinking back fours. As an example a few years ago I watched a home game v Spurs and our back 4 was Carr, Moore, Ramage and Elliott. I thought we had hit an all time low and Spurs would walk through us. I was wrong of course and we won the match. But we had Roeder in charge then and he was going through his very brief Guardiola phase. And for some reason during that phase Shola was scoring goals. Now we have McClaren seemingly trying to emulate Carver - and to date no striker who even knows where the net is.
  20. Hasn't he already been sold? Think he is on a loan deal.
  21. Wonder how much Daniel Levy paid Kilpatrick to write that
  22. Don't disagree with your structural point. But imo if we had a proper goal scorer up front such as Ba (as he was) or Remy the whole thing racks up a notch. So chances become goals and half chances become chances - if you see what I mean Cisse's goals arguably kept us up last season. Similar to what you're saying I guess. Yup although I just don't see Papiss as a reliable goal scorer these days nor do I think you can build a game plan around him. He's a wild card to be played off the bench who "might" nick you a goal when you don't expect it.

  24. Aye, more than likely. Moussa's agent will be like a fly round s*** atm scraping around the barrel for moves before the Euros Would be surprised if we sign Shelvey and one of our current midfielders doesn't leave and Moussa is probably the most "marketable" tbh. Given our recent hit rate getting a striker in who knows where the net is has to be a priority surely....
