  1. He ran out of steam after 70 minutes, fair enough, but he was being a bit lazy with his tracking on a few occasions much earlier in the game.
  2. Haidara needs a run of games. He could quite feasibly have been rusty and wasn't helped by Obertan on quite a few occasions, to be fair to him. I've seen the lad have some good games for us but we're going to have to give him a proper chance.
  3. Thought Wijnaldum got caught in possession too many times. Will take awhile to adapt to the pace of the league. I genuinely think the plan is for him to become a CM, they just don't want to chuck him in there too early with the likes of Anita/Colback (who aren't physical enough to carry him) while he's adapting.
  4. The block aside, I can't remember anything Colback did. Actually, scratch that, I remember him fouling Mane. He's an OK player but I was getting frustrated at how often he was turning back, today. Anita, whilst evidently not perfect, generally tries to turn into space and move forward when he can. Wijnaldum moving back as the weeks go on will be a big, big help.
  5. Thought Haidara was decent in the second half, tbh, their goal aside. Seemed to be the only one with any legs towards the end. Personally, I enjoyed that quite a bit.
  6. I wouldn't judge him aerially yet. I think he'll get more aggressive the more he learns the league.
  7. We badly lost legs at the end. They were shouting at them to push up but too many were flat out.
  8. I don't think Colback-Anita is seen as the long term solution, tbh. Probably just playing it safe as we play our new system in the league for a few weeks. Not as cavalier as I'd like.
  9. I think they're being cautious with de Jong and Aarons, which is probably fair enough. Perez should be starting, though.
  10. He is not as a lone striker though he can hold the ball up for one We're at home, our main striker's priority is to score goals, Cisse is pretty good at that.
  11. Obertan is probably one of those ones that's good in training. The coaches will soon see how shit he is.
  12. He had a fight with some fans, last night, apparently.
  13. If you've seen any of our preseason, that's something we won't be doing a lot of at all. Not that I'm against mixing it up, personally, now that we've got Mitrovic.
  14. The thing I like about McClaren, at this stage, is that he knows we are/should be a big club. It's nice to hear that mindset, rather than 'we can't afford things, I love Mike'.
  15. Disgrace is a word thrown about too often, these days, but that is genuinely disgraceful.
  16. Everyone forgotten Johnson's a supposed pedo or what?
  17. Do Spurs have any key players out? This side's pretty weak.
  18. Shearer had some absolutely horrific injuries, like.
  19. Don't think that central midfield is great at all. No protection for 2 average CBs.
  20. Is their team that good? 2 very inconsistent wingers, a decent enough but unspectacular set of defenders and midfielders. Their strike force is nowt to write home about either. Cabaye and Puncheon are good players, to be fair, but I just don't see a set of players that can break top 10 again, other sides have strengthened more, imo. Reckon they'll be 14th, tbh.
  21. He's Pardew's buddy. Probably just pissed he didn't run to AP and bang on about how great a manager he is.
  22. Highlights wanting to be an attacking team and then names 3 pretty uninspiring players Bamford may turn out to be good at the level, to be fair, the other two are Championship level.
