Fucking brilliant. He and Bruno were head & shoulders.

Think our resolve to dig in tonight will be even stronger. Isak is obviously career focused (as he should be, to a good degree) so he can't sit out a year. Football moves far too quickly. If he wants big bucks and out, he'll have to keep on performing like a big boy. New contract, no payrise, time-limited release clause or something. We get in someone who can get serious minutes if he decides to play twat again.

Did do a lovely turn not long after his weird header
-
Can tell he has real comfort on the ball. If he stays fit, I reckon he's a big player for us.
-
They were shit, btw. Don't look anywhere near contender with the current squad to me.

Fantastic effort.

Newcastle United vs. Liverpool: 25/08/25 @ 20:00 (Sky Sports)

Feels like we'll heavily target their right hand side on the break. Gordon-Barnes-Joelinton interchanges and overloads are very likely. -
He looks like he has some tidy feet but not doing it in the right spaces. Doesn't seem quite sure where best to position himself.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

Needs a loan if we have 2 available strikers, tbh. -
Meh, he's been going on like a dick & he's tiny. Move on. Jackson + Sorloth.
-
Did he know this was coming and decide to bounce?
-
Salia landed yesterday. He'll save us.

Yeah, the more he digs in, the more we have to. There's absolutely no way we can let him go like this. And he has left the door open as well, the fanny. Just a weak as piss PR play. Bloody Romano If Isak feels his trust has been broken, he'd go anywhere where there's a suitable offer. Funnily enough, he only wants to go to one club.
-
The club has known his position for a long time while simultaneously he's saying promises weren't kept (relating to the contract offer not coming last summer, presumably). It can't be both, he was either wanting a new contract or to get out. Did multiple media interviews in the spring that went above & beyond in his praise for the club as well. Statement feels a bit barbed towards Howe as well, but that could be paranoia. Thanks his teammates and everyone at Newcastle that has supported him, but not called out the manager or the coaching staff in that. An utter dipshit

Palmer hasn't been great for about 6 months, tbf. Last scored a non-penalty goal in January, iirc.
-
I think we'll persist with Wissa as long as we feasibly can which is the right move. He's an absolutely excellent fit for us, footballing-wise. It's just a shame Brentford look absolutely shocking so they'll be in uber protective mode (which is fair enough).
-
Elanga is super comfortable on either foot. He dribbles with his left a lot despite being predominantly right-footed. Quite the contrast to the Migster.
-
I think this'll be a great signing if he stays fit. He seems a really technically secure player, not afraid of getting the ball in tight spots + has intelligent movement. I get Anderson vibes from him, probably more explosive but less gritty.
-
Bit mad we've gone from Almiron, the most one-footed player I think I've ever seen for us, to Elanga.
-
Gordon would get better in that role but, ultimately, he's not a great finisher so it's just wasted effort. His pressing is useful now he's seemingly got his head right again.
