  1. Improvement going forward in the sense that he could actually take on his man without looking like an utter chump. Was poor at the back, as was everyone. Still worth persevering with, much better athlete and footballer who will learn the defensive ropes in time.
  2. Most of the journos before he arrived commented on how much he improved since being put up front, but ignore that... Ronaldo has already been told this but seems to have a very short memory, I suppose the 500 punches to the head per sparring session will do that. Nah, Ronaldo just knows 73 goals in 299 games isn't quite 1 in 2. He was played as a winger for the vast majority of those games. His record as a striker was close to 1 in 2 at Bordeaux.
  3. The manager coaches the under performing players, he motivates (or doesn't in our case) the players, he selects the players and he tells them how to play the game. Pardew is failing at all of those and that's always going to impact on player performances, it has to. Of course it has an impact, is anyone denying that? But there's a line between motivation and professionalism/character/heart, our players are quick to lose theirs when things aren't going their way. Everyone has been a disgrace today, IMO, they should all be shot with shit. The manager should take majority but those players certainly shouldn't get a bye. The way they seemingly regularly capitulate is pathetic and I agree with Ronaldo that it's not just a management issue, I think this is something that extends from the ethos of the board and their buying policies.
  4. it's maddening to me. If it was the case that the management made no difference then why is Ancelotti good? Mourinho? Pep? Its utter f***ing s*** So why do Arsenal capitulate then? They have a great manager with a fantastic style, doesn't stop them from getting tanked. There needs to be a mixture from the manager and players, we've not got that at all. Lack of professionalism from players led by a cowardly manager. Because Wenger, as good as he is, has repeatedly shown he can't get his team to perform against top opposition And yet his teams of old were much more successful against top opposition when they had more leaders in their ranks. The manager deserves shooting for today but the point that we lack character is valid. Some of the wandering about you get from our lot is absolutely disgraceful, I'd be embarrassed to have such an attitude if I was playing in a match.

  6. Why won't you just play some football, man, you twat? The season's over, try and build for next year. Arsehole.
  7. As if Gouffran stayed on, man. Fucking joke. Don't mind de Jong coming in but HBA shouldn't be off.
  8. Sums up how fucking pathetic we've been on just about every front. Shit from absolutely everyone involved.
  9. The midfield are 30 yards away from Cisse and nowhere to be seen in defence, what are they doing?
  10. The fact that they're to every second ball shows where our heads are at. Pathetic motivation and professionalism on show.
  11. It's more than that here. Players are much better than this, they're half asleep.
  12. This is fucking terrible. We've not even put 3 passes together, man.

  14. Deary me, I thought they were fake. They must be the worst ones yet.
  15. I still think Robert would've been more effective in this team - especially when we play 4-4-2 - and he'd have been excellent for Cisse, IMO. I also think Pardew would've liked the fact that he was a threat from deeper positions with his shooting and crossing, it would've meant less gaps to be exploited. Terrible philosophy, of course, I just think that's the kind of crap he always considers.
  16. Was Haidara's last start against City in the cup? He was really good in that game. Echo the sentiments of Hughesy's post too, Haidara's a better footballer and athlete that can be moulded into a much better full back.
  17. Well, AP's comments were that he could forgive Ben Arfa's lack of team/defensive work if he puts in the numbers, that's obviously not the case with Gouff as his defensive game *was* solid. Again, these aren't comments I agree with - I want HBA in the side - but that's why I think Ronaldo's right when he says that Robert would've been in the team as his statistical contributions were really high. I actually think Pardew would've liked Robert far more than the likes of HBA and Ginola, he'd have slotted in to his basic gameplan much easier with his game being less flashy and more direct.
