  1. Balloting isn't uncommon and Ticketmaster is Arsenal's ticketing provider, not SeatGeek. My view is that it's a wider strategic decision across multiple people at clubs, potentially triggered by ticketing tech offering new systems. Not driven by one all-powerful individual. I seriously doubt Silverstone or Eales spend much time on ticketing at all, tbh - I imagine a bigger problem is that they're not across it enough and delegate to others who are poor at managing the operational impacts of decisions. The NUFC commercial team are back-and-forth to SA a lot.
  2. Arsenal's Director of Ticketing was there the entire time that Silverstone was bar a few months, we don't use the same ticketing technologies, Silverstone's replacement started in late 2021 and he was likely doing fuck all for the last few months of his tenure. Also, balloting in some form is common across 'big clubs'. Arsenal have a fairly massive business & tech team with suppliers at their beck-and-call - their commercial strategy won't be on the whim of one man, especially one who left a long time ago.
  3. Silverstone left Arsenal in January 2022
  4. I'd have had no complaints with it being a sending off but there's one angle of it that doesn't look as bad/shows how glancing it is. Still could've easily been a red for intent alone, imo.
  5. Got a strange feeling that Wilson will be fine for this. Sneaking suspicion that a certain A Isak will be on the bench too but only in case of emergency. Pope Tripps Jam Schar Tino Sean Jo Joe Miggy Wilson Gordon If no Wilson, Hall comes into mid as one of Gordon/Jo takes the CF mantle.
  6. I'd consider resting him on the weekend, like. Feel like Tino & Hall is a good enough combo to be competitive against Bournemouth.
  7. Good effort across both legs. As has been said, we just didn't do it in the key moments. If Joelinton buries that header then I think we have a real chance of going on to win there. With all the context of a short squad, I'm not too disappointed.
  8. He was doing it on the weekend again as well. He started waving that play should continue when we dared to take time on a free kick after they'd spent time fannying about timewasting, I was sure I saw him gesturing for a card too.
  9. This is absolutely embarrassing from Chelsea.
  10. He was. Joelinton was monstrous but Bruno did the technical stuff so well, he played 3 passes that I don't think anyone else on the pitch could. Not necessarily because the passes were that difficult, but his ability to create the openings by using his skill on the ball and then to then play others in.
  11. The weird thing about Arteta is that I'm sure he was nothing like this as a player.
  12. Bruno's looks bad from one angle but not as bad from another. Could've feasibly been a red or a yellow. Mad that he got nothing for it though.
  13. Aye, he should've done a lot better when Miggy put him through. He's got a decent left foot so should have confidence in it in those positions. I think he has 5 goals in his last 12 PL games for us?
  14. Gabriel should be stronger. Ne chance Big Jam is getting done there if the situation is reversed.
  15. Last night felt like 21/22 us (well, when we were good that season). Part of what is so impressive about the job he does for us is that we can win in different ways and it looks natural.
  16. As ace as Saliba was with his individual defending, he's absolutely nowhere for the goal.
  17. Did he kick a ball off Havertz? I thought we were trying a quick free quick and the lanky knob was just in the way. Might've missed the incident in real time.
  18. The player Rice wishes he could be.
  19. Arsenal were poor. No guile at all without Ode or Jesus in the side. Very obvious patterns of play 90% of the time. Saliba is very fucking good though.
  20. Arteta is the absolute worst. Love seeing him go on like a freak.
