  4. there it is in black & white, but argue amongst yourselves.....
  5. When they first built the Metro I remember going through the place and I'll never forget seeing LBAB painted the full length of someones roof. There was a huge eye painted on a wall as you approached the station with 'Longbenton Clockwork' painted under it. In hindsight I now realise they were obviously film buffs with probably the best gang name ever
  6. The club closed that section because they had to extend the away end and they chose to extend the family end at the same time. How many does the away end hold now? and what are they doing having away fans next to the family end? Seems a perfect way for the club to pacify it's own supporters. more coke, more snickers... 7. Why did the L7 lot get moved? sorry I've been a way for a few years.
  8. St James' used to be able to segregate itself, you wouldn't find old ladies in the old Gallowgate corner, or find someone pissing in your pocket in the East Stand.
  9. Anyone (old cunts) remember the Sun posting a list of football team's hoolies back in the early 80's? They had Newcastle down with the Kenton Bar Boys, who they claimed wore black & white tartan kilts, Doctor Martin boots, and stockings on their heads... I remember some time later seeing a couple of old blokes (must be dead now) kitted out in the full gear, couldn't work out if they were the real deal or it was just a case of being influenced by the article. I once knew someone who was thrown through a chip shop window in Kenton Bar, but can anyone shed any light on the KBB? was it all just a load of media nonsense? The stockings on the heads & Doc Martins reminded me a bit of the Millwall Treatment, seen here in a 1977 Panorama documentary: Great bit in there about 'northerners' and surrviving a trip to... sunderland.
  10. It's almost like they were put there on purpose, isn't it....

Tbf he couldn't really have said anything other than that. He's reeling a bit and had he come out and admitted that we were the better side or we deserved to win or something like that their lot would have gone mad. Not sure he believes his own bullshit but he has to say it. He is starting to sound under a bit of pressure though. we need him there at least until the window is shut, hopefully he can mess the jan window up for the aswell. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_jXNyvNsF2To/TIp2JqYWMiI/AAAAAAAADsY/M_tha5jdXOQ/s1600/Margaret+Rutherford+Miss+Marple.jpg
  14. Not sure if anyone's posted Louise Taylor's review yet: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/aug/25/scunthorpe-united-newcastle-united-carling-cup
  15. You really don't like the south do you mate He's talking about the southern press, the press that were quite happy plastering pictures of dying northerners all over their front pages and depicting them as scum robbing each others corpses. (and lets not forget pissing on those corpses - the Sun). The press that are happy snorting cocaine, smearing the working class and supporting thatcher (80's) the same press today that snort cocaine, smear the working class and hack into dead children's parents phones. maybe some of you are a bit wet around the ears to history?

Which bar mate, we're hopefully heading down under in Jan. This was in Cheers Bar, on George Street, shows all the games but you have to get in early as it gets packed out. tbh, I was surprised at the number of Mags, the last time I was in Cheers we got relegated and there was probably about a dozen of us there.

Watched the game in a bar in Sydney, all the Mags had taken a section of the upstairs over, must of been around 30. When I was getting my schooner in I clocked a couple of raggy dressed fuckers, proper charity shop casuals, knew straight away they were mackems. Then about 10 mins into the game the lanky one starts giving it the Niall Quinn disco pants song, spitting all over the assorted other fans stood near him, he looked like the kind of bloke who gets pissed on a whiff of the barmaids apron, and the fact he had a face that looked like his mother had spat the fucker out onto a wooden floor didn't help either. Just before half time he was going nuts shouting 'scouse cunt' 'thieving gypsies' 'fucking scouse thieving gypsie cunt' at Barton (the pub was full of scousers waiting for their match to start, a couple of them looked like they were going to knock him out), to cap it off it wasn't actually Barton he was pointing at, it was Taylor... The collective pointing and laughing from the Newcastle lot seemed to wind him up no end, and the more embarassing he became, even his pals were hiding behind their beers. To cap it off he was nowhere to be seen during the second half, much like the rest of his team.
  18. Looks like Cheers on George Street, Sydney are showing it: http://www.cheersbar.com.au/Sports.htm I'm not a fan of that place myself so may watch it elsewhere.
  19. cheers for that, didn't know Billy had a blog - he's obviously a Discharge fan n'all.
