  1. Not sure if my wording came across badly. I was standing up for Kevin there. Just drawing comparisons with the flack he gets against Ashley doing the same thing.
  2. Yet Mike Ashley gets some slack for also giving the fans "what they wanted". Keegan however walks out of EVERY job dropping the club/fans/country in the shit along the way.
  3. Suspended for ten yellows, I also think he might not have got "international clearance" despite having played in England for a year, the rules are weird. We're 5-0 up and Im nervous as hell...I really want this record. Dont you just need to get to 82 minutes... thats what Ian Payne on SSN said earlier

    The Mackems Game

Us with no right back, Jose at left back, Duff could be right wing & misery guts on the left. We have nothing Toulouse playing Ebondo if he signs & playing a unfit Jonas on any of the wings instead of the other options. Hang your head in shame Thespence
  5. Looking at Portsmouth, Stoke and WBA to continue to have worse results than us
  6. So Kevin Keegan having been out of the game for 3 years hasnt got an earthly clue about modern day Premiership football yet Mike Ashley (from what I know has hardly ever shown an interest in the football), Llambias the Casino Manager, and Jiminez the Property Developer know exactly what it takes to run a top level football club ?

    The Mackems Game

Aye hang fire though. Werent we meant to have someone decent at Blackburn until the last minute when things switched and we ended up with Styles ?
  8. It has to be said but did Dennis Wise really never see this coming. Whether it was related to Keegan or not, he was probably always on a hiding to nothing coming here. Everyone down here in Birmingham, when he joined, to a man said "what the fuck !!". At Leeds, I am guessing, but they probably reacted the same when he got the Manager's job but as Manager, all it needed was some good results for the attitudes to change - and that barnstorming start to the season they had certainly helped with that. Having a back ground job like he has with us however makes it so much harder to alter the public perception of him. I cant ever see him being accepted here now
  9. I just noticed when I looked at my post that it looked completely out of place Damn. Just made me chuckle that was all

    Colin Calderwood

And yet we are meant to believe the club is no longer up for sale and that we are "Driving the club forward". A wanky summer ahead I think
  11. I think you should ease further boredom by re-doing that in different font sizes - for the benefit of the colour blind
  12. Doesnt that usually mean therefore that a business has to wind itself up and lay off all its staff ?
  13. I thought it was a bit weird that no thread were added to
  14. It is if they are being brought in for the first team and you want a bit of experience. Basically I don't see us going for some of the 28 - 30 year olds we have been linked with unless they are on free transfers. Does Kinnear have any thoughts at all about playing more youth in the side ?
  15. To be fair, bringing in youngsters is the easy bit. I still cant work out whether the huge focus on youth was forced on them because of the state of the accounts or because they really did have this fantastic vision of the future.
  16. If they dont I will blame you now for bumping this thread and tempting fate You fucker
  17. If they dont I will blame you now for bumping this thread and tempting fate
  18. Is it me or did he miss that trick long ago. I cant speak for everyone else but if he had come in, then as soon as he saw the state of the clubs finances, opened up to the fans, explained the shitehole we were dug into, and told us to prepare for some tough years ahead, I would have understood and he might also have actually pulled everyone together instead of letting it all spiral out of control. I appreciate there is probably a huge amount of naivity in therein that a huge business doesnt just tell the listening world that they are in trouble
  19. 3-0 Burnley (4-4), 2mins of first half ET left. Sky Sports 1. And if it finishes like that Burnley go through ?

    Peter Beardsley

Genius signing at the time by Keegan. Timing was just perfect for him.
  21. It has to be the way to go. As someone said earlier, Arsenal did fantastically well when having a good blend of unearthed/unknown developed talent and superstars like Henry. Only now have they fallen below their high standards by relying too heavilly on youth and inexperience.
  22. I wonder how well the situation was explained to Keegan before he was offered the job. And if he's entitled to compensation then he should get it. If he's entitled to it then I couldn't agree more Dave. Regardless, if the true financial situation was explained to him before he walked, then I'd like to think he would have been a bit more understanding for the good of the club. I would be very disappointed in him if he left purely because there were no transfer funds. I cant believe for the life of me that he would just for that reason but it would be disappointing if true.
