  1. Schoolboy error. Unacceptable for a professional footballer, never mind an Internaitonal no less, not to play to the whistle
  2. Just released a new album hasnt he ?
  3. Got his work cut out already what with Portsmouth being skint and I am pretty sure 1 or 2 will already be looking towards North London and elsewhere for their next transfer now that Harry is gone. Can see a slide down the table on the cards for them
  4. That comment really gave me a flashback to last season.
  5. Its no wonder this world is in trouble Is no one allowed to put a reasoned point of view on here if it dares not to condemn all makems to the depths of hell.
  6. Its was the 3-4 home defeat to charlton, having been 3-0 up at half time that fucked me over the most that season
  7. Tough call Too much of this "OMG this is the worst its been" bollocks on here at the moment. Everyone still associated with the club needs to pull together & concentrate on getting us out of this mess, players, owner, manager & supporters. It's a cliche & a pun, but it's time to be United.

    RIP DOF TBH?

    One win and he's back
  9. I don't think this is any worse than the disarray Gullit left us in tbh. At that stage all we had to do was replace the manager. This time around there are some more significant personnel to be changed.
  10. Am going to go back and read this thread in a second but I can categorcally say that Collymore scoring the winner in the 4-3 loss at Liverpool left me feeling as empty as I ever have after a football match.
  11. I would say that since 1992, this is by far the most disarray the club has been in which indirectly makes it possibly the worst squad because of the affect it is having on confidence, morale and all round instability.

    RIP DOF TBH?

And it was Ashley that didnt give it the chance to succeed. He had the opportunity once Kevin walked, to stick to his guns and to try and prove it could work. He chose to walk too.
  13. Jobs for the boys? Reckon Adams and Jordan (maybe not Adam's so much) will be pissed of for not being asked or do we think they turned Harry down ?
  14. Not great really but Roy Keane approves so I guess all will be ok. Kind of similar to that Birmingham dick head that ran on in from of Enckleman a few years back. Whilst you can understand the emotion of what made the lad ran on, how easy could it be for him to be a complete prick (more so that he actually is) and so actually confront Given. Got to stop these dick heads doing this at the SOL.
  15. Bottom half of the Championship is littered with recently ex-Premiership clubs.... worrying
  16. I am trying to work out what effect Redknapp leaving Portsmouth is going to have on them. I know they have some quality players but once confidence and morale take a hit, anything can happen

    RIP DOF TBH?

But before he'd had any impact on anything. did milne have any effect on anything. thats my whole point. each DOF has a differing remit from club to club. it may not be the role that is wrong but the personnel or the remit. Surely right there lies the problem. If no one can put a specific handle on what a DOF does and it can differ whichever club employs this person, then I think that lends itself to confusion from the outset. A person gets a job as DOF at club A and then if he gets a job as DOF at club B but is told his role is different, I cant see how that just isnt going to cause problems because we all get into habits in their job and get used to being able to do certain things - its always difficult adapting to different criteria in a new job

So it's more the personnel than the system, then. Not if the DOF has authority over the team Manager and doesnt listen to what is being suggested is best for the team by the Manager. On that basis its both the personnel and the system.
  19. The longer he stays = Club still havent been sold = Relegation
  20. What, "one win in 29 years"..? I wouldn't have thought so ''2 wins in 42 years'' If that is correct, 2 wins in 42 years, they really need that rubbing in their faces. 2008, 1980, 1967. 2009 will be 42 years. 2 wins S'pose so if we're in the Championship :-[
  21. Megson out? Maybe the Spurs result, in the long term, is better for us. I fully expect Redknapp to drag them out of the bottom 3 so to keep Bolton in and around the area cant be a bad thing.
  22. To be expected. Textbook new manager resurgence.
