Because he's willing to try and take his man on, after being put in unfavorable situations for attacking players under the shite formation/tactics that Pardew plays. With Dummett behind him there's no other threat on the left flank meaning teams can just double/triple him and nullify his dribbling and footwork. What does this even mean? When Bruce took him on loan nothing had happened, so nothing was anyones fault. We've always known he was cut from the same cloth as Pardew though so it's natural to assume it's mainly down to his shit management when he comes out with a line like "he needs to work harder" after pulling him off 35 minutes into a game.
