Couldn't see that this had been posted elsewhere: Fair play to Pedersen to be honest. Glad they can both draw a line under it and move on.
-
Didn't think we were too bad today to be honest. Fulham are a better team than people like to give them credit for. On another day we'd have nicked a goal or two, Lovenkrands had a couple of chances but it's not like he completely fluffed his lines with them. Yeah it wasn't the most entertaining game in the world and I'm still not quite sure what Nolan does when he's not scoring, but certainly no doom and gloom after that - miles better than against Blackburn anyway.
-
To be fair I agree with them to an extent. We certainly time wasted a fair bit, not to mention although we kept the ball in perhaps a nicer way, we didn't offer that much going forward other than a very direct style. I certainly think our performance v Arsenal is comparable with Blackburn's last night.
-
Hope that classic fans 'murmur' doesn't follow him on the ball for a bit. One of his greatest assets so far is how comfortable he's been on the ball and turned with such ease. If he loses that with his confidence I'd be worried. Looked absolutely gutted after conceding the goal - was a bad mistake no doubt, but is still a zillion times the player of Alan Smith.
-
For those that haven't seen it, when they scored Tiote dropped to his knees with his hands on his face, it's rare I've seen a player look SO gutted. Poor lad.
-
Tiote got it caught under his feet in the box, couldn't clear, got robbed and they scored. Bloody harsh on him but it was crap.
-
Was at the game (although sitting with the bloody home fans in the North Stand), thankfully I was at the end that Carroll scored in, chuffed to bits. Colo was immense today, Tiote embarrassingly good, and Carroll defending from set pieces was blinding. Arsenal were poor but we certainly helped make them look that way. Laughed when they chanted "Who?" when Ranger came on. They weren't asking who he was when he had a man sent off after skinning him. Blinding day out. Howay the lads!

Sort of thing which is funny the first time you see it and from then on slowly grates and grates...
-
Agreed, absolute joke. Especially when I think Kieran Gibbs (although a decent enough player) is rated at 78 I believe.

Did it for his Mum. What a guy http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2010/10/18/toon-defender-dedicates-goal-to-his-late-mum-72703-27493732/

Personally I think Peter Beardsley probably is.
-
Great ball from Jonas for Shola's goal and Colo Not a great performance or even result by a long stretch. But still felt fecking great when that header went in. Some shockers for some of them, our Argies got them a bit out of jail today.
-
Hughton looks pissed coming out of the tunnel...I reckon (hope) they've had the rollicking of a lifetime...
-
To be fair he did start against City. But yeah, I can see what you're saying if you mean him and Carroll at the same time.
-
Dirk Kuyt? Roeder is still chasing him I hear...
-
Stone for Guthrie Hughton for Perch Beardsley for Lovenkrads
-
Bear in mind Houghton has pittance to spend (relatively) over the summer, Perch was a bit of a gamble on the cheap. Can't see how he's now being started ahead of R.Taylor, but we do have two other potential right backs (Simpson and S.Taylor) who could well be playing there instead. Not many teams have great third/fourth choice right-backs to be fair...
-
Fair play to Charlie, was screwed by a succession of Toon managers, albeit he still acted like a bit of a cock. Another masterstroke from the mighty Kinnear to alienate him! Shame he can't show any sort of consistency or decent attitude else he would be at a top club.
-
Would be amazed if Chris was under any sort of pressure. Obviously the fact that his contract is up at the end of the season and O'Neill is available are two things which are against him, but nowhere near sacking in my book. Red tops may think otherwise, but they're shite for a reason.

Did we ever find out why Xisco wasn't on this?
-
Sibierski - Wrong. Thought he'd be total garbage and thought he was a wasted signing. Turned out to be a French king and did the greatest assist I've ever seen to Dyer in a UEFA Cup game. Geremi - Wrong. Looked quality in pre-season and thought he could be a great experienced leader in midfield. Didn't realise he's sold his legs on his way up here. Duff - Meh. Owen - It was Michael Owen! What could go wrong? (Injury/desire etc) Kluivert - Couple of good moments but after Robson left was bound not to be the right club for him. Think he gave up pretty much after that. Maric/Andersson/Luque - Why do I always think these kinds of players will turn out to be amazing? I still love 'em all, even if they were all crap.
-
And without trying to go too off-topic, didn't think Vuckic had much of the ball to be honest. He also gave it away a few times. Very odd that people are saying he was anywhere near MOM. Mine was Colo until he went off by a mile.
-
Yeah did well and looked to have a decent delivery on his left. Keep it going young man!
-
To be fair the only player we had starting that started against Everton was Colo. They had Terry, Anelka and Ferrera at least. Not to mention players like Ramires, Benayoun etc Can I also say despite this Smith was still shite?
