How is that a farce? Two players with limited international experience playing in an international tournament, seems fine to me.
-
Anyone who can dribble as well as him and have such a good first touch can hardly be called technically lacking. Just a bizarre post.
-
May have been a bit better if Shola had started today.
-
Best player today for us by an absolute mile.
-
Another one of his trying to do too much performances. Absolutely atrocious dead balls. Difficult to be England's best midfielder when you get outplayed by Jay Spearing.
-
Absolutely pathetic today. If he had a pay as you play deal, he could start 30 games a season and be lucky if he's paid for half of them. If he doesn't score I can't remember the last time he's played above a six out of ten.
-
One word summed up today. HOOOOOF.
-
Was stupid to be so far behind the line, even if it didn't cross (which from the one replay I saw I didn't think it did) the linesman is always likely to think it crossed due to the players position. Made up for it with his block later and second half performance mind.

This to be fair. Him and Nolan didn't cover themselves in glory, saying that few did.
-
Forgot that the utter tit McKay is his agent as well. Probably the only bit of information of any note I gathered from that article.
-
Honestly just think Colo badly overhit it. He's still though
-
Think he's a very solid player, not blessed with pace as we're all aware but that classic rough and ready style defender. Just a shame if he plays badly next game the majority of fans will be on his back in a second saying he's crap. Much prefer him in partnership with Colo than anyone else at the club.
-
For those of us not quick enough, what exactly was in said article? Was there a picture of both of them going in for a tackle or something? Or had someone photoshopped some boxing gloves onto the pair of them?
-
To an extent, but I'd imagine most of those would ask for fairly substantial signing-on fees too.
-
Big game tonight between Arsenal and Chelsea Ladies I believe. The fact it's being played at Tooting and Mitcham's home ground speak volumes. Good luck to them though, the fact it's being played through the summer may give them a chance (until there's a major international tournament or the Olympics being played at the same time).
-
Can't tell if he's not very good or we're just not very good at creating chances. Probably a bit of both to be fair.
-
Walker played well against him to be fair, looks a half decent player.
-
Bit of a failed experiment today to be fair. Colo barely had any of the ball and kind of struggled positionally. Thought Taylor was poor and despite chasing we looked more solid with Willocini at the back.
-
Taylor gets worse every time I see him.
-
Absolutely crazy people thinking Parker doesn't deserve to be on that list. Just bizarre.

Xisco joins Deportivo on loan until the end of the season

Completely forgot about him, he's been injured for a while right? Knew there was another reason for me to like Depor other than Luque... -
Workmate of mine (Tottenham fan) was at an event in London last night called the 'Nordoff Robbins Football Extravaganza' which was raising money for charity. A number of people involved in the game were there (from a Newcastle perspective Shearer and Lee) but interestingly both Chris Hughton and Alan Pardew were both in attendance. As Alan Pardew was heading towards the stairs to leave, Hughton was in the way. Pardew went over to Hughton, tapped him on the shoulder, gave him a quick handshake and left. The guys from my work who were there described the moment as 'frosty'. Clearly still no love lost there. My mate also chatted to Chris for a fair bit (only about Spurs alas) and said he was the nicest bloke he's ever met.
-
In fairness when Routledge went I would have thought Pardew's though process involved Barton being first choice, then options of Ireland, R Taylor, Gosling and Guthrie to play out there. Ryan Taylor actually looked alright on the right in the one game he's featured until he was sent off and Routledge has been nothing short of awful for us in the Premier League. But yeah, I think we all know that the squad needs a hell of a lot more depth.

Definitely needs to bulk up if he wants to make a career as a full back, hopefully can do it without losing any speed as he looks to be a fairly quick lad. As others have said, only real bright spot from today.
