Still don't think it would work and thought so for a while especially under Pardew's fantastic coaching they would just get in each others way. In theory though, you have a tackler and a ball player. It should work. It won't work under Pardew but that's where his future lies with us, imo.

How often have Anita and Tiote played together? On paper that should work quite well. Better than Tiote - Perch at least, as Anita can actually use a football.

yes you will I say the same every week

I'd say Gouffran and Ben Arfa wide is almost a necessity. We need outlets further up the park otherwise it'll just keep coming straight back to us. Watched Jonas chase back a few times, which is fair enough, win the ball, turn round and chip it towards the half-way line with no-one there. This needs to stop. Our forwards need to try and stay forward. Let our countless defensive midfielders do the dirty work.

The key is to avoid players weaknesses. Pardew seems to try and exploit them for some strange reason. Tiote is top notch at breaking play up, no doubt, and he's hard as nails. Don't be asking him to do anything technical though, it's just stupid. Playing him and Perch in the middle was so pathetic that Cabaye was trying to link defense to defensive midfield - or 'the DDM' as I have coined. edit: to be fair though, when the only outlets are a wildly out of position Sissoko or... Jonas, well, there's not much you can do.

I got a 99p bottle of sparkling perry from lidl. Probably closer to that.

It's so that, when you go on the home page, you see 'Alan Pardew gone...'. It's a horrible nasty trick. We only have a few Pardew threads. You should look at RTG...

Wigan to spontaneously enter administration.

That's why I enjoy watching Gouffran. He plays his own game. Precisely why he's been getting hauled off and dropped, probably.

Saturday looked like a mutiny, did you notice the team huddle before kick off? Done it for West Brom too.
-
It all proves once and for all his tiredness/europa league excuses were a bunch of cock.

You're lucky you said 'for a guarateed' instead of 'if we get'. You'd be held to it (ask Messi)

As a break from doing maths I might do a statistical estimation analysis on likely outcomes and percentage chance of avoiding relegation.

He needs to start. A half-fit Ben Arfa is still our best option.

The Blackburn manager took training after he'd been sacked. Here's hoping... There's a question, Steve "eccies!" Kean or Pardew?
-
Do they fuck need to recuperate, they hardly even moved.
-
A point would be massively important as it puts us another multiple of 3 away from Wigan.
-
"light session"? You fucking kidding me?

I doubt there's much to read into Sissoko leaving early. Probably dentist or something random. Still, 1% of me believes he left in frustration after a heated discussion with Pardew.

For some reason this result made me want Carroll back. -
I would like to think they're having a team meeting today where nothing is off the table - get them to tell him exactly why they're so p*ssed off. Ask the senior players what team/formation they would select and agree to give it a try. Anything really, just whatever it is he's been doing lately, f***ing stop it! If the players want us to stop up, they really have to be telling pardew what is wrong from their eyes as they are the best one's to know what is wrong. Good luck getting this cocky bastard to listen. I hope you're right though.

The same guys who got us into this mess. Not sure where Pardew is getting the idea that those players will suddenly become good under pressure. Have a look at appearances http://www.worldfootball.net/team_einsaetze/newcastle-united/eng-premier-league-2012-2013/
