Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Pardew wanted another striker and he got Gouffran. The problem is he probably included Ameobi in his list of good striking options. -
I'm unsure regarding goalkeeping coaches. Elliot wasn't good to start with, Harper is old as f*** and Krul has developed massively well. Distribution has always been bad, true. Harper is a good distributor. Harper is average at that but we're so starved of anything decent he looks good. Also think that's self taught rather than any decent level of coaching. Paul Barron was the last decent gk coach we had and where Krul learned most of his game from.(from what I hear anyway) Fair enough, hadn't realised we'd changed goalkeeping coach although I though Woodman was quite well-respected.

I think Steve Stone gets an easy ride.

Which is why I said he is rubbish at it. -
tbf to Mick he said he'd rather have Carver for a game than Pardew. He wasn't suggesting throwing a 3 year contract at him.
-
Cabaye who isn't even fit to captain. Love how you didn't question the rest of the post
-
Carver has taken control of one game for us and we won it 3-0, I'd rather take a chance on him than Pardew against Arsenal if we need points. What game was this?
-
Probably more likely than him getting another assist
-
Top 12? Top 6 more like. This league has shown you don't have to be an outstanding individual to nail down mid-table. We are a top 6 club, we have a top 6 squad. We sadly also have a s*** manager. Well yes, I didn't want to get ahead of myself
-
He's a scout, not a coach. His management career was pretty gash. Saying that, at least he knows the players. He could pick the team, get Carver to rile them up a bit, I'd be happy with that. Would this really be that bad an idea for three vital games? I think this is the most astounding thing. For an owner that wants to promote a long-term, sustainable goal with stability, why the f*** has he picked a scout and manager who are at complete loggerheads regarding the style of football that should be on show? Get a scout and manager who want ugly football, or get a scout and manager who want technical, quality football. Says quite a bit about just how in-depth this long-term 'plan' really extends imo. Exactly. We're not just wasting some of the best players we've had in years, we're wasting one of the countries best scouts.

Just assessing any sort of potential options we could look to. As it stands (imo) it'll be one of: a Carver/Stone partnership or Beardsley/Donachie as caretaker. I shudder. Carver/Stone would be the exact same as we play now. They should both get to fuck with Pardew. Shudder, indeed.

you are on thin ice booooyyyy.

It was horrendously negative and we still let in 6. We have the terrible combination of a manager who is rubbish at defensive coaching who loves to play incredibly defensive football. -
It's fair to say that, should we stay up, we have to be a very attractive place to manage. This team could, with a modicum of intelligent management, be top 12. Easy recognition.

Perch and Tiote is utterly daft. Neither knew where they were at any point in time and neither have the ability to take the ball out defence. -
Harper Simpson Taylor Colo MYM Perch Tiote Cabaye Jonas Sissoko Cisse is what I expect I would not be surprised if he goes for Williamson to 'win headers'. I would play Harper MYM Colo Taylor Haidara Tiote Cabaye Sissoko HBA Gouffran Cisse Reckon we'll have trouble with Carroll. Stuck MYM on the right because I think he'll get battered in the centre.
