  1. I would not be in the least bit surprised if he returned with a bit of a bang in the near future. Can't deny that as each silent day passes, I give up that little bit more. Been said a thousand times before but i wish there was just some finality to this, either way. There is , just accept its over , the Pl is rigged , football is bloated and corrupt . Act accordingly ... Our people involved are far too good, far too capable, far too used to 'winning' to be beaten on this. It is just a matter of time . . though I know that 'patience' is difficult at times !
  2. 100% This is all just noise! PL don't seem rattled all and feel very comfortable with their case. The positivity has 100% left the building. Yes, I think the Premier League will sound 100% positive and comfortable with their case . . . right up until the minute - the very minute - that the whole thing collapses around their corrupt arses. Now, that can be in court, or it can be out of court - but it is absolutely inevitable. BOY it will be enjoyable for us all.
  3. I am realistic, I am not 'positive' (that is a very different thing) and I never 'troll'. Apart from all of it, I agree with everything you say.
  4. We already know we're only getting loans, and we currently look as if we're gonna fluke safety again. This will roll on through summer 2021 and everyone will think it's close then it'll fail again. The be back on again. Then off again. This is us for the next 5 years I reckon. Very unlikely!
  5. I am sure he will be back when he has something to say. Meanwhile, silence is golden. Is it tho? The foreign office stuff and LK latest update doesn’t sound particularly positive Yes, silence (from anyone that really matters) is golden. Old stuff from the Foreign Office is not of any real relevance. We are not hearing from those that matter (no 'leaks') and that - to me - is just GREAT.

  7. Let's just WAIT and see. What is that I can hear? Beautiful q u i e t . . . NO LEAKS !!!! Nothing better.

    Sunderland

Ha ha! No! Just seen the score. Predictable. Should start betting on Sunderland 1-1 every weekend.. That must have been 50% of their results in league one Apparently 31 of their last 56 games have ended 1-1. They are now a well established 3rd Division Club. That doesn't mean that they will always be able to avoid the 4th Division though !!
  9. I think Mimms is the only one who thinks theres a chance of it being sorted before then. Based on what he’s said, the people involved, the pressure on the PL etc I think a takeover is a possibility in December or in January. A strong likelihood, based on that accurate listing of those important things strongly in our favour!
  10. Really? I call BS on that one as senior PIF directors certainly wouldn’t be working yesterday or today’s as it’s the Saudis weekend Pretty sure Mccormick works over there...or something along those lines. It's amusing how any non-positive 'ITK' stuff is immediately written off as bullshit but a lawyer making bread is spun into a positive edit: just for clarity I agree most things point to them still being interested and things heading in a positive direction. Just think people are pretty sharp to dismiss anything that doesn't sound good. It is important that PIF play their part in the current multi-faceted "roleplay" that is going on with the various legal actions (etc) to push this Takeover through, by their keeping quiet (keeping totally out of it) or - if they are ever directly asked - simply confirming what they said back in July, as they have done here. This should therefore be seen as a good news thing, a 'consistent' thing - NOT as bad news (because it isn't).
  11. Nothing to worry about as mimms said this is a sideshow to the real case. I think they are playing their role in this very well, think of them as an annoying side effect, to the more serious source of pain. I'm still 80% ManorPark 20% Sean, but all this begging our MPs again isn't where I expected things to go. Yes, this is all just one part of the "we have found other ways to approach this" statement that was made when De Marco was appointed and had first looked in to what could be done. It is now a multi-faceted approach and seems (to me) to be very well thought out, thinking outside the box, etc. All WE can do is . . wait.
  12. Chi Onwurah's full question . . . "To ask the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, with reference to the fan-led review of football governance and the takeover of Manchester City Football Club and proposed takeover of Newcastle United Football Club, what discussions he has had with the Premier League on the importance of transparency and consistency in the approval of takeovers of Premier League football clubs." Good question. The answer due to be given tomorrow (26/11/2020)
  13. You're not serious? All your opinions are from one point of view The opposite of objectivity then, eh? A very quick and 100% inaccurate response to my post, which I wrote to hopefully 'calm a few nerves'.
  14. I’m sure if the bid is still on the table they can’t just change the rules ffs Im sure they can tbh citing the PIF public withdrawal I don’t think you have a clue what you are talking about OK mate Its going to go through and the PL will be more than happy to support the process I’ve not said that at all but you’ve basically just talked a load of s*** The last few months backs my point up, so I disagree! 1. There’s nothing to suggest project big picture 2.0 has anything about takeovers in it. The main sticking point in the original project big picture was the power grab 2. Even if there is, there is no suggestion it’ll get voted thru. In actual fact the non big 6 PL clubs would be mental to vote that thru 3. There is no way the legal teams are hanging around waiting to see the outcome of PBP and yes there is plenty they can do about it 4. Many sources say the bid is still on the table. I’m not a lawyer but I’m confident they can’t just change the rules around takeovers during a takeover especially when the club is currently involved in arbitration about said takeover Once again you are talking s*** I would suggest most of that is opinion which could also be interpreted as s*** and glass half full s*** at that! Do you genuinely believe the PL clubs will vote to allow the big 6 to block takeovers? That’s essentially what your whole theory is based on I think there will be sweetners offered to Everton WHU Wolves and maybe Southampton to get this over the line. So yes i do! It would clearly be illegal under competition law, I'm amazed it was even proposed, if it was as reported in the first project big picture. You can't have a situation where competing companies have a veto over the ownership of their competitor companies, that's about as clear a case of anti-competitive activity as could possibly be imagined. Lets think about this objectively. (1) The 'Sky Big Six' were totally annihalated in their 'Big Picture' vote, only a few weeks ago. (2) If we were not fearful that our Takeover might not be approved by a 'corrupt' Premier League Structure, would we be even thinking about a second Big Picture proposal being made and approved? The answer is NO. It is called . . . paranoia !!
  15. Not for long now Ashey has sold off the land behing the Gallowgate End. The new buildings will block the view. These are the buildings that will form the One St James' Development, on the St James' Metro Station Car Park . . . https://www.business-live.co.uk/commercial-property/tolent-tipped-develop-120m-one-19261488
  16. Just as a reminder - UEFA seem to have no problem with having Sovereign Wealth Funds involvement and investment in football !! https://in.reuters.com/article/soccer-champions-bay-psg-ceferin-idINKBN25K1CH
  17. Ah . . "we all know" do we? I look forward to reading your posts after the Takeover!
  18. I don't want to 'irritate' anyone, I really don't. But, let's get real, we are ON THE WAY to a changed English Premier League, mainly for us but also for everyone else. The excitement levels for everyone as we start to thrill our way up the league. It is a good job that the Americans are planning to go back to the moon, because they will need to go there to bring most of this City of ours back home, because that is where we will be most of the time !!!! In a nutshell, that is why PIF want us . . .
  19. They would not seek arbitration on a deal that is off. That’s the club. Not the group. Whether it is the club, or the consortium, or both, it is difficult to see how you can take a deal to arbitration, if it is 'off' !!
  20. NOT how I remember it, I really thought it was PIF. However, as you seem to have researched into it, I will have to accept that my memory, in this instance, is flawed.
  21. The deal is not off at present, and it never has been. The (oft-quoted) PIF public withdrawal was not followed up by them withdrawing from the consortium, every comment from the consortium since then has been implied as 'one consortium', and PIF (independently) have never followed that 'understandably annoyed' public statement with any fiurther "we are no longer interested" statements. None at all! Also, the Consortium never withdrew their bid from the Premier League. So, the bid has always been there, and now (of course) very recently it is being pushed even harder . . much, much harder. I always say 'just wait', but now I honestly feel that we will not need to wait too much longer. (Just think about how GREAT it is all going to be . . .)
