  1. Could be coincidence. Could be significant. Could be VERY significant. I'll go with the latter Could be coincidence. Could be significant. Could be VERY significant. I'll go with the latter Course you will You? It’s interesting but could mean nothing at all. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jamie-reuben-quits-qpr-what-19158075 Welcome to the third edition of the Black & White bulletin, our weekly look at NUFC matters. Some late, intriguing news on the NUFC takeover front as Jamie Reuben quits QPR. What Jamie Reuben's resignation likely means for NUFC takeover. So here we are again, back watching Companies House searching for clues as to what comes next in the long-running Newcastle takeover saga. Jamie Reuben resigning his QPR board role first came to light through a notification on Friday night, with no word from Rangers or the man himself. It came as a surprise to those close to him, and was the first sign of something concrete from any of those involved in the deal for weeks. Sources were playing down any direct connection between this move and the takeover on Friday night. Reuben, though, remains keen to be part of this takeover. Nothing has changed since the statement issued by the Reubens back in the summer. And what we do know is that work remains ongoing in the background on the takeover that all parties are still keen to complete. Saudi noses were certainly put out of joint, to the extent that PIF only want to be re-engaged when a definite conclusion is close. But the enthusiasm for owning the club survives, even if a sense of being hard done-by clings to those involved. What we don't have - yet - is a public timeline for it, or any sign of the Premier League relenting on the key point surrounding disagreements over who would ultimately control the club. That's why there is legal action ongoing. The Reuben morsel is a tasty one. His resignation from his QPR board role was something that needed to happen for him to join the board of a Newcastle United that was under new management. The son of David Reuben, one of the UK's richest men, was understood to be enthused about the prospect of getting stuck into the black and white project and was brimming with ideas to improve the club on and off the pitch. He tweeted his heartbreak at the deal falling through in July and it later emerged he had been donating to the Foodbank, on the quiet, as the takeover process continued. Many close to the process - and several independent observers - believe there will be more noise around the deal in the coming weeks and this is a convenient jump off point. Reuben would now be free to join any reconstituted board but we still seem a way off that. Not that it will stop the Companies House watchers. As part of the machinations of the summer, a shell company called JV1 Limited was set up to take the 20% of shares in Newcastle that the Reubens and Amanda Staveley would have in United. Two long-serving Reuben employees Stephane Nayum and Mehmet Saydam were both named as directors alongside Staveley. Reuben - who was to be involved in day-to-day Newcastle affairs - was not named. Perhaps if there is movement there, we can start to look at the final boxes being ticked in this long-overdue deal.

  4. This is dead and gone. From the minute it started it was dead and gone. It was dreamt up by a bunch of low-life idiots. Why are we still discussing this on this thread, at all? (Yes, I know I have just posted on this thread too)
  5. Your swing from one extreme to the other has been quite impressive. You were so positive and convinced it was going to happen mid may, and now you are so negative and convinced that Bruce is safe and he knows what's happening. Bruce always says what he WANTS to happen and what he HOPES will happen, and he 'says' it as if it "is happening". He doesn't know anything, I mean, WHO would tell him?
  6. Seriously, you should not feel like that, nothing has gone. The Takeover should always have progressed quietly, without all those early 'leaks' and I am remain certain that is what is happening now, right now. Keep the faith.
  7. That is it exactly, we 'want it' so much . . . AND because it is (as it has always been) so logical.
  8. The so-called Big 6 was only a Sky Sports invention anyway. In the same way as "Premier League Records" for this that and the other are all promoted (invented) by Sky. The ridiculous way they quote all these non-existent and meaningless "records", means that Sky are trying to say that (all of a sudden) NOTHING happened in top league football in England before 1992. Makes me want to puke at the absurdity of it, almost as much as hearing people accepting the drivel.
  9. Hi, It's not really the 'in the knows' who feel that work is going on continuously behind the scenes and that it may well turn out to be successful, it is the 'normal' NUFC supporters, in the main. Those supporters, like me, simply see that the people who want to buy us are NOT the sort of people (any of them) who are used to losing. They are winners, and logic dictates that they will (eventually) win the day. We just all have to wait.
  10. What a man my new favourite poster (sorry manor park). Ha ha, he's mine too (along with you W M, of course)
  11. Just think of the fantastic, massive clubs that would be fighting for the exciting Premier League Title every year, if these six "parasites" were kicked out. After a VERY short-term financial hit, everything, absolutely everything, would be so much better. As time passed we would never even remember them, and it would be a lesson in what happens when personal greed takes you over. I would hope the other clubs at least 'propose' voting the pointless f*cks out, even if it doesn't happen. Honestly think there's some truth to this. CL is already a mini league and there's more than enough games to satisfy tv audiences. I don't think the big 6 would last long if the other PL clubs told them to do one and we carried on without them. What I want to happen is for the rest of us in the Premier League to at the very least "propose" kicking those six out, after their obnoxious behaviour, even if the vote is lost. That way a MESSAGE will have been well and truly given to the tw*ts.
  12. Yes, it is now very obvious (it was always pretty obvious) what has delayed our takeover. Nothing will stop it.

  14. The "Big Six" is a Sky Sports invention, that many people now seem to accept as 100% real. There is an element of self-fulfilling reality in it, as "money generates money", but that is what it really is, a 'Sky Sports' invention . . . if repeated often enough it becomes real, etc. The current Sky Big Six do not have to be in the 'Top Six' (those are two very different things) and if these corrupt proposals are taken seriously, then the current big six will suddenly become the 'permanent' Big Six. What a sad joke this is.

  16. All logical, and realistic. Excellent summary. Logical and realistic are 2 words that never apply to James' posts Ha ha, I don't know about that . . but they certainly both apply to this one !! Sorry, but you've shown your hand here. Not disputing there is action behind the scenes but that is the wildest of conjecture and if you see it as logical and realistic then you're on the wind up Who writes your stuff? Whoever it is, get rid of them. Logic and reason = Logic and reason (oh, and common sense too). It was realistic not reason but either way you're still full of shit. Realism, reason, logic, common sense - all of it is so obvious, no matter which of those words you prefer. However, I should not have indulged myself in exchanging waste of time comments with you. Fancy you thinking that I haven't been to the bathroom recently, how COULD you know that? Let's get back to discussing the issues.

  19. As you know, it has never been 'off', but I don't think this bread photo has any meaning whatsoever. Well, I don't know what's real anymore. That is not the reaction I expected from you What reaction did you expect? I keep on, and on, using the word 'realism', and I do not think it is realistic to imagine hidden meanings to that loaf of bread photo. But . . . I could be wrong! As your so optimistic, I expected you to find the positive in the image of the Brown Ale and the Champagne. Don't think I have ever been optimistic (at all) though I am also not obsessively 'pessimistic' in the way that some people are. I am still just realistic about the Takeover.

  22. I will do, many thanks. These 'weirdos' do not affect me at all, though I do sometimes make a bit of an effort to try and improve them!
  23. Not a chance It will be a while yet, don't think the actual legal action has started yet, they will still just be compiling their facts. And you wonder why people accuse you of commenting like it’s facts. Wow, the exact opposite of what I said . . . amazing!! Someone who expresses their 'opinion' as 'facts' (and there are plenty on her who often do that) would have written . . . "Legal action hasn't started yet". I wrote the exact opposite . . I expressed my opinion. writing . . . "I don't think Legal Action has started yet". Have a look, that is what I wrote. However, that didn't stop YOU saying the exact opposite. There is precious little point in using the English Language if it is just going to get ignored and twisted! "It will be a while yet" is stated as a fact not an opinion. Thank you. Thought I was going mad, how can he not see it? You are well aware that is wasn't written as a "fact" as I do not have a crystal ball (honest!) so I did NOT feel that I needed to add (for the part of my comment about future events) the words "I think". When it came to the 'opinion part" of my comment, I started with - "I think" . . . Wow, what a waste of time. My actual message is unaltered by all this bollocks!
