  1. It's over Kidda, give up man FFS. 100% wrong, so wrong it's embarrasing. Also, please read the Thread Title.
  2. "The" only L O G I C A L outcome "is" that it MUST "be" C L O S E D Wait!!! Interesting how happy some people are when there is news that could negatively impact on our Takeover. Are you all from Sunderland? Nobody is happy about it. Other than Luke Edwards and Steve Bruce. You can't differentiate people wanting it to happen and not believing it will? Weird. Him and Whitley have had similar views about this in the past. Not being blindly optimistic = don't want it to happen/apparently mackem now as well. IMO, this thread would have been quite at home in the Twitter bullshit thread, it seems to be all it's about....... "Let's get ahead of ourselves over random twitter 'ITK's' and call it optimism". Missing the point, again, guys. Posting "smiley emojis" when negative news appears is what I am referring to . . as I am sure you know. Why do some people show this happiness at bad news, then (when they are brought to account) deny it afterwards? How about coming clean for once? Surely you cannot actually be happy about negative news about the Takeover?

  4. That's a very diplomatic way of putting it I'd love to know if he talks like he types. Unique - YES. Diplomatic - I know you didn't mean that, but YES I AM. Talks like he types - YES, I AM A VERY PERSUASIVE TALKER.
  5. It is ManorparK (singular) thanks very much! Me and WM are not related actually, but one thing we do have in common is the fact that we are both totally correct in our understanding of what will be the outcome of this Takeover. My advice to all the 'waverers' is to just . . . . W A I T People should seriously hope we are correct, because the alternative doesn’t bare thinking about. Even if we stay up the noises already are that there’ll be no money to spend, and that’s the best case scenario. Should we get relegated you can bet your life Bruce will not be paid off, and will get the job to bring us back up. I’d even predict should the mackems come up, they’d spend more than us and probably with momentum of promotion have a better season. In either scenario that won’t be a club I’ll be supporting any longer. Luckily my view is Ashley has already abandoned ship and we’ll have our club back soon. The only question is which division that’ll be in. I see this Takeover by Staveley/Reubens/PIF as the only real chance we will have to see our club become everything that I have known (all my life) that it is capable of being. It is such an excellent thing that this group of people have been able to realise how great - and unique - we can be with the right support (with 'their' support) and this fact of them and us together is what is making them REFUSE to give in. They are behaving how I would behave if I was in their position . . and yet they are not (historically) NUFC supporters like I am, like WE (on here) are - but they are not giving up, they are F I G H T I N G for our future. Whatever their original motivations for picking us were, they are now still in there, fighting for our (ours and theirs) future. THAT is why I have always known that they - and us - will ultimately succeed. Keep the faith people!

  7. You are a mad man there isn’t a chance Staveley & Ruebens will buy the club without PIF if they wanted to they’d have done so by now You’re absolutely wrong Staveley attempted to buy the club in the May prior and thought she could. This was an attempt to keep Benitez before he left, the Saudi’s only came on board in the November. She will own the club regardless. The price will be at a reduced level and I’ll gladly accept you’re apology in a couple of months when i’m right. She had backers then too wasn’t just her and ruebens. f*** all apology due Did she who were they ? That’s guesswork on you’re part I’m afraid. We’ll both know who’ll be right in a few months and that will be enough for me ? Can’t find the interview with caulkin after she provided proof of 3 bids but I’m sure (but maybe wrong) it said she had investors and in subsequent caulkin articles he mentions investors. At no point was she buying the club herself I’ll help you out the initial attempt had the backing of Chinese investors, however in the May when Rafa left it’s unknown where the funding was coming from. She’s keen to have Saudi backing as it takes us to next level, however she was happy to go ahead in the May if it had gone ahead. Which makes you’re argument redundant. So if you’re going to attempt to call people out, you really need to know you’re facts. Total guesswork she doesn’t have the money to do it herself. You are the most deluded poster I’ve ever seen. I’ll make it simple for you. It didn’t go ahead in May because it was never going to because she didn’t have the backing I have more reasoned discussions with my 10 year old Wrong she ideally wants serious wealth behind it to take us to the next level. PCP are basically an investment fund and she absolutely could go ahead and do a leveraged buy out akin to Burnley. She clearly doesn’t want to do that man. Do you seriously think if we get relegated she’ll try and buy us herself with investment from the Ruebens? So deluded. As you say she wants backers why would that suddenly change if we get relegated? No ideally she doesn’t want to do that, but that’s what she’ll do with the intention of running it as a sustainable business. Her first attempt to buy the club was basically her, Rueben’s, Chinese backing and sovereign wealth. Her company already hold a number of investment portfolios whereby sovereign wealth funds have holdings. PCP don’t necessarily need to have 1 major backer to enable deal to happen. As I said previously though she believes ideally you need major money to be able to compete, hence getting the Saudis on board. She will buy the club with a view to running it sustainably and hopefully getting PIF back involved once promoted. Keep going with the insults though I’m enjoying this ? You seem to have inside knowledge, so care to share your source? Unfortunately not mate. However, having met a lot of people over 35 years of following this club all over the place, like a lot of people I hear stuff 2nd and 3rd hand. I base my ramblings on here on a mixture of what I hear and read. I’m convinced this is going through in some form relegation or not, if it doesn’t I certainly won’t be deleting my account and will happily take whatever abuse comes. You are completely correct, have no fear - but it is HARD WORK on here sometimes !!
  8. Yes, it is full of "easily influenced" people, particularly whenever there are no 'leaks' about the Takeover for them to "believe" or to "rubbish" !! The very best times for our Takeover are when it is totally quiet, as that is the ONLY way that progress (legal and/or arbitration etc) on our Takeover can happen. That IS exactly what is happening at the moment - as logic surely dictates.
  9. And ban those who say “it will happen” like it’s a fact too ? Not really, as the ongoing quietness (that worries a lot of people) is evidence that legal action is happening behind the scenes and (taking into account the people involved) it is going to ultimately be successful.
  10. We have played in the Champions League at least three times, and have played over a hundred European Matches in all three European Club Competions . . . (1) - "European Cup / Champions League". (2) - "Europa League / European Fairs Cup / UEFA Cup" (3) - "European Cup Winners Cup". We have a very strong European Football Heritage, as former winners of one of them! Yet, even all that may not count much. Yes, we need this Takeover !!!!!!
  11. Did they ever officially withdraw their bid?
  12. Are they not going through the motions arbitration wise? Ben Jacobs seems to think it's underway. Ben, I believe, was referring to the overall process, including the preparation phase. As far as I know, there has been no mention of the actual hearing commencing. My blindly optimistic theory is that all parties involved are now confident that a deal will be reached without the need for arbitration and we’re going to hear the big announcement suddenly in the next fortnight. And Amanda’s name on her zoom screen at the online press conference will be “Cabbage oot”. Seems the most likely outcome at present
  13. It is hard work all this 'waiting', but it can't be much longer now!
  14. Actually, I think this is the "official announcement" (confirmation) that we have been wating for.
  15. The images were there a few hours ago, but they are not there now.
  16. Unfortunately Yorkie what may be tedious to some is interesting to others, no one is forcing you to read it. Like it or not this bloke has a legal action pending with the PL, the PL will not want some information disclosed into the public domain, and thereby his action is a very real threat to them. So whether you think he is central to all this or a peripheral figure, any bits of info from someone in contact with buyer and seller is useful at this point. Jesus man, all Yorkie said was that it’s tedious people keep talking about him, meaning he’s sick of people arguing if what he says and does is good or bad. For what it’s worth I believe the people in the tweets are just pointing out something a lot of people will be thinking. The guy is spending a lot of money on legal action. Ok he might be able to afford it, but unless he’s a multimillionaire in which case he’s be in the top 1% of the countries earners, losing up to £500k is a blow that he would be effected by. £50k (which is how much he has spent so far) to many of us is a hell of a lot of money. He’s up against the Premier League who themselves are multi-billion pound organisation who will likely have the backing of 6 other billionaires who would be happy to go toe toe with him financially in order to prevent the takeover of they so wished. Are they right in warning him about losing his money? Aye. You keep saying would you say that in the pub to him if you can? Aye I would, I’d explain it to him that he could lose that money. Ultimately it’s his choice to take that advice, but if he turned around and swung a punch at me for saying it, like you keep suggestion, then everyone in the pub would think that he would be the w***** for doing so. Also, his attitude about how he has put his money in his pockets and he can afford it etc in his latest tweets is very condescending. Aye ok he seems to be in a place where he can afford it, and apparently through his hard graft, but a lot more people would do similar if they had the money. As I have pointed out in the past, plenty of members both on here and elsewhere have put a lot of money into efforts to shift Ashley, their losses aren’t published, so it’s not like others already haven’t. Lastly and perhaps most importantly, if he can easily afford this £50k he’s currently spent and can afford and is willing to spend £500k, why did he initially put the begging bowl out? You can’t put the begging bowl out, get stood up, then say it doesn’t matter because you are rich as f*** in anyway. It comes across as the condescending act he’s portrayed in terms of flirting his his wealth and costs. As far as I’m aware that was the wor fund group, it was only after that folded did Keith and Gordon Stein get involved. He’s since explained that if he’d been able to link season ticket holders to his action, then his legal advice is that it would already have got to court. Let’s bear in mind Robert O’Donoghue is one of the very best QC’s in relation to competition law so should know what he’s talking about. I don’t doubt others have made sacrifices in other ways, certainly people like Greg from NUST give up their own time freely. However, in my eyes this guy and Gordon Stein stand alone in the level of personal and financial risk they have exposed themselves to. I can only speak for myself, but even if i was a millionaire I doubt I would take on board this level of risk. Very clearly summarised, excellent. Will that explanation have any impact on the bedroom warriors getting their kicks? It will not! I hasten to add that not all of Keith's critics are bedroom warriors, but a number of those on Twitter certainly come across that way.
  17. Waiting is difficult for some people. They need 'news', 'updates', 'leaks' to sustain their belief. I understand that. Seriously, in something as ultimately confrontational and legal as the Premier League have turned our takeover into, the most progress will ONLY be made when there is none of the above. I still focus in on just how very amazing it will be - day after day after day after day, for ever more - after this is all finalised. Worth waiting for? Good grief YESSS !!!
  18. I say it how I feel, and that is how I feel. Just wait . . .
  19. Cheers Scoot, back and refreshed for the final push. Good to have you back, been a bit lonely here! Yes, "the final push" sums up exactly where we are now at! A logical decision by the moderators in the end manorpark ! The fact the arbitration hearing has not began points to one thing, compromise and this being passed. Why would the consortium/Ashley be keen to wait at this point, because they know the ramifications of Bein being reinstated and the legal cases being dropped. Our positivity and realism will proved well founded my friend. Inshallah! Yours and Manorpark's posts have been what's kept the lights on for toon fans mate, not really interested in hearing the cold water brigade alternative right now. While there's even a glimmer of hope the takeover will still happen I will keep believing. The alternative just isn't something I want to think about at this point. If ever. Agree completely I’m out for good if this doesn’t go through. If Bein is restored in Saudi Arabia there is no legitimate reason for blocking this takeover any longer. The Burnley takeover sham makes a mockery of Masters claims that they are protecting the club. How in anyway in our current guise could we be any worse off, the current version of NUFC suits them perfectly. Gazumped by Liverpool for a defender on deadline day and giving game time to an Arsenal youngster. The establishment don’t want this takeover, but they’ve underestimated the will of all involved to make this happen. Yes, this WILL happen, and happen soon. So much hard work by people who are (quite simply) "used to winning in business", the 'dream team' of Reuben Bros / PIF / Staveley, will inevitably pay off. My favourite phrase is . . "all WE have to do is wait" . . but (as I also often add) just pause right now and think about "how great it will shortly be". Yes, I would have preferred it quicker, but it is going to be worth the wait, and quite amazing when you add the three groups I mention (Reuben Bros / PIF / Staveley) to the FOURTH GROUP . . . . . . wait for it . . . N U F C !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Cheers Scoot, back and refreshed for the final push. Good to have you back, been a bit lonely here! Yes, "the final push" sums up exactly where we are now at!
  21. Yes, can people not just forgive his mistakes and focus in on what he (Keith) is genuinly trying to do? He is trying to help achieve what we all want, so let's support him instead of picking up on aspects we don't like and pulling him to bits.
  22. If you stick your head above the parapet and really try to do some good, sadly you will get it shot off. Many people will look for the 'smallest thing' (probably the most irrelevant thing) to use to exageratedly pull you to bits. I know who I prefer to listen to, and why, about this.
  23. Yes, I will avoid "the shite" even when I am attacked, as I accept the point you made on the other thread that a 'response' is as annoying as the attack!
  24. When Mike Ashley refused to lower the price watch it fast become an issue. No one is spending £360m on a championship club I genuinely believe the landscape is such at the minute that even Ashley would cut his losses. Last time we went down he had to loan the club 40 to 60 million. With the current losses even greater due to Covid I think your talking an even greater amount. We know he’s a gambler but promotion for a 3rd time at the 1st attempt ? He’s not a complete fool, I think he would maybe accept 200 million, and a further payment on promotion. It’s also been rumoured of sweeteners for Fraser group branching out into Saudi. That’s 3 respected journalists now confirming relegation is not a deal breaker, obviously no one wants relegation but potentially a safety blanket if the worst happens. Hope you are right. It would be peak Newcastle to finally get the dream takeover and get relegated You know what at this point I’d take Saudi ownership in the championship, as opposed to Ashley in the premiership. We’d have the finance to compete straight away on promotion, and the excitement level would be back. But let’s hope it doesn’t come to that and we survive. Yes, as I mentioned earlier today, I think other poor teams will help keep us up this season! That the same poor teams who've won the following points over the last five league games? Sheff Utd: 6 WBA: 3 Fulham: 3 Brighton: 5 NUFC: FUCK ALL Burnley: 9 Yes, those ones, exactly. Poor teams like us and those ones you list, do not often go on 'significantly long' runs of good performances. That would be unusual.
