  1. The only way to ever improve the world we live in is to (how can I put it) 'embrace' and 'deal and communicate' with rulers and countries that are currently like Saudi Arabia, there are plenty of them. A huge way to achieve our objectives with these countries is to trade with them (ideally not weapons!) and something like 'world sport' is a very good way to get/keep this process going. If we as a country reject these people, then they (and the fate of their people) will never improve. Forgive me, but that’s a mite paternalistic, not to mention entirely false. The only way to improve the world is to eat all the capitalists. "Paternalistic" - is fine (someone has to lead) but I'm not sure what I wrote is really that though. "False" - is incorrect, as any student of world history will tell you. "Eating Capitalists" - is not something I would - "burp" - recommend!

  3. The Saudi's will NEVER do that, they are totally used to winning, and they intend to do so again! Also, it is not just the Saudi's, it is the Reuben Brothers and our own Amanda Staveley. Our new owners are ALL very capable people, and they will most certainly win in the end.
  4. The longer it goes on the more certain it is to succeed. There is no way that, if they choose to fight and '16 weeks' confirms they HAVE chosen to fight, clever and successful business people like (1) Amanda Staveley (2) The Reuben Brothers, and (3) the Saudi PIF, will ever lose. Our three new owners are just too good for that to happen.
  5. Agree.. it's over. Good grief !!! The opposite of the reality. None of our three new owners will give up on this. Even more so now, after all this crap they've been made to go through. It is simply, as always, a matter of WHEN. (as you know, I thought this would be yesterday, ah well . . . )
  6. I feel better reading that. Thanks geordie john ! ..and thank you too! Do you think I'm on the right track? Very much so, it seems very likely that this case will need legal action (or perhaps only the 'threat' of it) to bring it to the right conclusion, and I think (also) that this is very close and may have even started. The thing to remember is that Staveley/PIF/Reubens individually mean business, and 'together' . . wow. I certainly wouldn't want to be in the PL's shoes if it comes to Legal Action!
  7. Yes, it does, but I reckon it does for all of us at the moment. Unlike some, I am still absolutely confident that the deal will be done - just not today. I never expected all this about the structure, who is in charge, etc, delaying matters so much. Anyway, I tried to rectify the "negativity" imbalance with my "Manorparkians Group". We are still here, but I think there are serious discussions to be had so I'll butt out for now. (Ban me if you want to)
  8. I reckon he's got until 10pm. Although his banning has already happened, it's inevitable, there's no changing history. Thankyou !! Still confident? The longer the day goes on, the more difficult it becomes to believe it will happen (today) but there is still time left. I bet you won a fortune when Liverpool were 3 down to AC Milan in 2005. I don't think he's stopped drinking since. Hmm, not bothered about other teams, though Liverpool were very lucky that day. I think I may 'start' drinking at midnight tonight, if there isn't a reason to start drinking earlier . . .

  11. I've always imagined it being announced at some time during the afternoon, probably about 5 o'clock.
  12. All my presents are 'well hidden' at the moment . . . but I'll find em (and I'll share them with you all).
  13. Tomorrow remains the day, when our new owners finally take over. Deluded much? Why? How? In what way? In every conceivable way I think that is inconceivable!

  15. It IS our last Ashley/Bruce game. I wouldn't say 'enjoy it', but it will be our last chance to feel that "absolute hopelessness" during a match, that we have all felt for so long. So, while you can't 'enjoy' it, just 'experience' it - safe in the knowledge that it is ALL OVER . . . I want to believe you and I hope what you're saying actually happens. Can you please for one last tine clarify your reasons why it is happening tomorrow and what is the source of your confidence from just so I can fully get on board with your cult/theory? Logic, commonsense and bowing to the inevitable. Naahh. If that's the carrot you're dangling, I think I would be better off. Hope you prove us all wrong by this tine tomorrow. Best of luck. Thankyou . . we will !!
  16. The talk was of Ronaldo last week. Canny forward line mind, Messi & Ronaldo. Wonder which one will be first through the door?

Logic, commonsense and bowing to the inevitable. None of which are applicable or relevant to this anymore Er, not correct!! Just taking the last of the three things - 'bowing to the inevitable' - that is probably the clearest and MOST relevant! The club is sold, it was sold many months ago, our new owners are experienced and capable people (all three of the groups involved) and if the Premier League were going to reject approval then they would not have spent all this (very) long time negotiating with our new owners. That explains the 'bowing to the inevitable' aspect of this. Well it doesn't really. Unless you have conclusive evidence to suggest otherwise. Logic, commonsense and bowing to the inevitable say this should have been done an dusted within a few weeks, yet here we are 13? Weeks later still wondering what's going on I mentioned the (very) long time taken in negotiation, and explained the significance of that in that it clearly points to that being a legitimate part of the 'certainty' around the eventual (bowing to the inevitable) outcome. The PL certainly would not have engaged in all that, inviting responses from a group of hugely capable people (remember THAT is what our new owners are) if this was not part of an inevitable, if 'slow', process.
