Don’t encourage him. His SJP posts on SSC are twice as long as a prologue post from HTT. Ha ha, thanks Mr Stifleaay (who I know so well from SkyscraperCity . . ) just for that I will break the record when the stadium changes come along, just wait! and, Kanji - it will be a good-un - hopefully MANY good-uns !!!

Well - simply - it just cannot "keep on" coming to nothing. The inevitable great news is now VERY close at hand . . . I love you and choppy's optimism. I hope you have a right good old drink when this deal is rubberstamped. Oh YESSSS !!! This whole period of the 'Premier League F&P Tests' - this oh so long, long, long period - can ONLY be what it is ("long") because of negotiations going on 'back and forth'. Can you imagine any group of people as capable (and very successful) as we know that Staveley/Reubens/PIF all are, not coming out successfully at the end of this long period? Obviously they will do "everything they need to" (during the long negotiations) to secure their prized objective . . . OUR NUFC. Then . . . just 'imagine' again . . . what is it going to be like?? None of us, even during the Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan recent eras, will have EVER experienced the potential that is about to be unleashed. Nuclear bombs are a BAD thing, but that is the only fully descriptive analogy I can think of . . . it will be like a NUCLEAR EXPLOSION (without the damage).

Yes it certainly is, it always was going to be approved, always . . . but NOW it is very close indeed !!!

The huge numbers of "mis-quotes" and "misunderstandings" on here (often quoted "as if they are FACTS") is quite incredible. I thought the Takeover would be approved, because of the WTO Report as evidence, the "day after" it was published. I obviously got the time-scale wrong, but the facts still speak for themselves, and the inevitable approval should be given very, very soon now. Happy DAZE imminently ahead people, VERY happy indeed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No matter how much rubbish this is, and others of a similar nature (YES, including some of mine!) but I still enjoy reading them. They instantly excite me and fill me with a sense of great anticipation. Then, it starts to ebb away, as I 'realise' (yet) again . . . . . .
-
That is very surprising!

Are you frustrated bud? Thought you said it would get announced today? Are you not annoyed (or 'frustrated' to use your word) by these easily invented lies? Are you? Still plenty of "today" left . . or mebbe tomorrow, ha ha . . . "imminent"

The whole pathetic invented "American Bid" is FAKE, FAKE, FAKE. Amanda & Co are OUR owners now, that is how it has felt like for months now . . let's get on with it.

Thankyou !!! C A L M . . . everyone. Well, if my frequent statements on the 'other thread' are to prove correct, then today should be "the day". As I see it, there is now no LOGICAL reason for the Premier League to withhold approval any longer. TODAY IS APPROVAL DAY !!!

If you have seen my previous posts over the last week or so, I have simply said that the Premier League need the evidence of the "published" WTO Report, for everyone to see, to support their decision to approve (what the Media have drummed up to be) this controversial (their words) takeover. I have seen nothing to change my view on this. It is just plain, simple LOGIC . . I have no inside information. How will it support their decision to approve the takeover if it unquestionably incriminates KSA? You make no sense. I'm sure we have discussed this before, but even if it does - for certain? - specifically accuse KSA, it will also be used by the Premier League to explain their approval is because KSA and PIF are N O T the same thing. Also, they will probably be able to say (after all this time they have been negotiating back and forth, back and forth with PIF) that PIF have responded to them and are ensuring that KSA will not infringe again, and may even (if they have infringed?) make some kind of 'reparations'. There are a number of assumptions in there, but it is all so very LOGICAL . . step-by-step, and it fits because (as we know) the PLs desired end product is the money and expansion of the influence of the PL, by APPROVING the takeover. Always keep that in mind . . THAT is their (the EPLs) desired end product. That is why the WTO Report will enable the PL to approve the Takeover . . and explain why !! That is my view, very strongly.

Toontastic's takeover of NO ? What??

C A L M everyone. The Takeover will be announced very soon . . .

Thankyou !!! C A L M . . . everyone.

This latest bit of 'fake news' has certainly caused a lot of concern and upset on this forum. The inevitable approval of the takeover is not far away now, and the more "rubbish" that is invented and quoted as fact by reporters, the more certain I remain of approval happening . . and SOON.
-
I've written on this thread quite a number of times now, that I see the publication of the WTO report to be followed very quickly by the inevitable approval of the Takeover. I see no reason to change that view now. An exciting few days ahead!!
-
Have a look at my post just above yours. That is what I explain in there . . why they are "needing" the WTO report published, before they can announce the approval of the Takeover !!

This is what I saw too. I actually think there's a lot to be optimistic about. KSA cant just ignore this report and its findings and will need to seek a resolution with Qatar. Qatar too will want reparations and so surely it stands to reason that once that has been resolved the takeover will be free to be pushed through. It would explain why the PL.havent rejected it yet, it seems to me that they're waiting for the report to be released so that that can be resolved which would leave them free to ok the takeover without repercussions from both sides. Is that not what I said ? It is certainly exactly what I said only this morning . . . I feel the opposite of that. The Premier League know that (commercially) the deal is done, the club is sold, and they also know that their League needs us and the Saudi's money, rather than letting it go elsewhere in these financially 'devastating' times that are ahead in the UK. It is difficult to overstate how bad our Financial Crash is going to be. So, they are desperate to approve the takeover, but they KNOW how much high profile (but irrelevant) 'flack' they will get when they approve it, so they are going to use the WTO Report Findings as their 'explanation' that it was NOT 'PIF' (the legal entity) who were responsible for the Piracy. That is how I see it playing out - so expect to hear very good news this week . . . Yes, the Premier League have 'seen' the WTO Report, but the point is until it is published they cannot use that report as their evidence (explanation why) they are approving the takeover. The 'publishing' of the report is the important factor here.

The government was always going to indicate support. Prior to the last election, Johnson made commitments to increase investment in the North of England. This takeover is a way for Johnson to say "promise kept" without having to spend any government money. From the government's perspective this takeover is manna from heaven. this is one (of two) of the main reasons why I have always felt 100% certain that this takeover will happen. The other main reason is that, as far as I can work out, the 'sale' has commercially ALREADY HAPPENED !!
