  2. I live about four miles away from the airport, but we aren't on the flightpath, so we never get planes directly overhead. In the middle of the night I was woken up by a very LOUD plane flying directly overhead, never heard anything like that here before. So I immediately thought (still 95% asleep) "that's them, the Saudis, flying in from a different direction from normal planes" and then I went straight back to sleep. It may all have been a dream of course, but in the morning I felt it was real !!! (how 'wound up' into all this, am I . . .. ) There's only two ways to land a plane at Newcastle. Straight in from Whitley Bay area, straight in from Hexham area. Anything else would end in disaster. Unless the Saudi private planes are like Harrier jump jets. Maybe you heard the Northumbria Police Ghetto Bird tracking some villains ? Or a military jet. get occasional Tornado's and Typhoons flying around at low levels. Takes what about 2 minutes to get to Leeming when you're doing 7-800mph? Or, it is just possible that I dreamt the whole thing, as it is so much on my mind. After this happens I will need a long uninterupted wank (about a MONTH) I think !! FTFY THANKYOOO !!

If the Sunderland Football Club does fold / go out of business, there could be an even lower league 're-birth' for a brand new club, to replace them. It would be so much better if that new club were to be based in the City of DURHAM. rather than in Sunderland. I quite like the idea of a "Durham City FC" to replace them. They could even be adopted by us and become one of our 'feeder clubs'. Happy Days !!! Durham City already exists Yes I know but it's the 'spirit' of the idea I mean. A new club designed to move (a little way) up the leagues to replace Sunderland. The usual way around pre-existing names is (something like) "AFC Durham" or whatever . . .

  7. Not seen any published. PIF could have easily done this all alone, so in my view they hadn't considered it in the past but were approached by Staveley who wanted a cut for starting the deal, and the Reubens jumped on as part of their buy up of property all around Newcastle. Or, they just want to be owners and have others do all the day to day running The Reuben Brothers could also easily have done this on their own (worth about £18 Billion) but the 'deal' was put together by PCP Capital Partners (Amanda Staveley) so she was involved hugely and said she wanted "in" on the deal and I understand that the Reuben Brothers were on board even before PIF, so they remained on board when PIF joined in. It seems an IDEAL combination of owners, with ongoing future skills being available to Newcastle United from ALL three groups, far, far better than doing it on your own, no matter how rich you are!
  8. Been onto Forbes Website and there is no trace of the above article. https://www.forbes.com/search/?q=Saudi%20Bid%20For%20Newcastle%20United%20Approved#459e73da279f
  9. Well, the takeover actually happened almost two months ago now, and all we have been waiting for is the Premier League's 'Fit & Proper Test' results. The Reubens, Staveley and Saudi PIF are serious players in the business world, despite all this 'noise' around the deal, there is no way that any sports body will tell these people that they cannot buy the investment they want to buy. So, I cannot understand why you would say "can anyone actually picture it happening?" when it is absolutely certain to happen, and in reality. has already happened. Absolutely certain Again, give it a few weeks and re visit that comment Ha ha . . . likewise !!
  10. You laugh but let's wait and see. I bet I'm proven right in time As I wrote just above, you are wrong!

  12. No one ever said it was passed. Too many people were looking for the subliminal message in his words. We'll be playing Sgt Pepper backwards next to see of John and Paul had anything to say about it. When you play it backwards it sounds like . . "Oh Mandy . . . " (it does - FACT)
  13. Haven't had fried bread in years, can feel my heart clenching even thinking about it. It is the MOST delicious thing, I remember my Dad making it for me, sometimes if he didn't have time to fry it he gave me something he called "dip", which was bread dipped in bacon fat. That was delicious also. It's been a while since I've had either.
  14. Study the words George has chosen to use . . . "They haven’t had official, formal word from the PL yet. That’s the bit when the money starts to move". That is about as clear as it could possibly be !!! It means . . . We haven't had the announcement yet because the money hasn't been paid and it will be paid when the "official" and "formal" approval (ie, the official/formal letter) has been received, but (and this is the important bit) it means that "unofficial" approval (phonecall probably) HAS been given. It's all there. IT IS DONE PEOPLE . . . DONE !!!!
  15. Truly the pits. Awful post. The lady has every right to protest about the country that (she is certain) killed her husband in the most awful of circumstances. It is odd (peculiar) that she is picking on us, as the vehicle of her understandable hatred. Very odd. There are SO MANY other organisations and businesses that the Saudies have recently bought and are about to buy, yet nothing seems to be said about (or to) those businesses. Where are all the letters? Also of course, she is completely missing the point that if we (the world) EVER want to change and improve the behaviour of the Saudi Government, it is by 'trading with' them and their countries businesses. Banning them, boycotting them (etc) will achieve nothing at all, nothing. It is understandable that she cannot see this though, she must be full of genuine hate for the people she believes killed her husband. What an awful situation for her.
  16. Depends on how much influence the government has over this because it's got nowt to do with them. It's 100% (officially) a PL decision. As they have always said, the Government will not interfere in this commercial transaction and Premier League process https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/culture-secretary-oliver-dowden-insists-18267531
  17. Don't know who he is, but liked reading some positive tweets from him, even though they most likely mean nothing. Check my last tweet. I have a very reliable source at Logitech. He claims it's gonna be announced on Friday, at 3pm. Oh no . . . not another "3pm Announcement" !!!!!
  18. To me, this part of NUFC.coms latest note is the most relevant part . . . If, as they say, this documentation was "simultaneously circulated to media outlets", then surely the media would have used it, and we would all know EXACTLY what this documentation said and probably who had sent it. Have I missed the publication of that documentation??
  19. For the last couple of months, whenever I have read the latest posts on this thread and then gone back to the main 'list of threads' page, there has ALWAYS been a new posting made in the time it took me to do that, always. Today (07.45 on 15th May 2020) is the first time that has not happened, in all that time, and also (when I look for the last post made) it is actually from OVER SEVEN HOURS AGO. It feels like people may have just given up . . . this has just "gone on for too long"?
  20. The more these media "sheep" climb over their pathetic selves to write us (and the takeover) down, the more any self-respecting organisation (which I hope the Premier League is) will feel they are being pushed and pushed in a certain direction, and so they will push back - and ignore the c*nts !! In my opinion anyway.
  21. The best and only way we at NUFC, or anyone in the West, can hope to have any kind of influence on what we see as the worst aspects of Saudi Arabia and their culture, is by "engaging" with them. The more we reject them, boycott them, or whatever, the more extreme we will drive them to be. Is that what we want, is that what we should do? Integrating them gradually into (what we say are) the 'higher standards' of the Western World, by facilitating their involvement in the "world game" of football, would go some way towards achieving what we would like to see them become. Perhaps only small steps, but small steps are better than no steps at all or even backward steps. In my opinion.
  22. For no apparent reason? ? Yes of course, for no apparent reason. You can do one of these "attack Saudi Arabia" (China, Russia, Iran, USA . . . whoever) articles whenever you (BBC etc) want, but WHY NOW ?? It stinks, I'm sure you can see that.
  23. Well I was never 100% confident, but I am still fairly confident. Although I'd be lying if I said the concerns weren't growing. I don't think the FA will be overly concerned about Amnesty and the like. But there will be a concern in football circles about Newcastle United suddenly being worth much more than any other club. You mean "Jealousy" . . Since when did that become legitimate grounds for the Premier League to consider rejecting any new club owners?
