Newcastle United promoted back to the Premier League
Mattoon replied to Figures 1-0 Football's topic in Football
It has to be 10, the only thing I'm not a 10 on is us being champions, I think there has to be that distinction there. It would take a calamitous run of form a la Pardew to fail to be promoted now, with another team having a very good run of form also. I have no doubt that come May we will be champions and I'll bet my house that we'll be automatically promoted. -
Doubly delicious. Could've been tearing up the division here and learning from Benitez instead. Idiot Don't blame Townsend for wanting to get back into the premiership to help his England aspirations, but Palace and Pardew or us and Rafa? He deserves all he gets from that choice, he only had to ask ffs.

We're strong enough to make a challenge for both, ultimately the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool are too strong for us in the cup and it makes it a moot point really but why not both?
-
When asked why he had no threat down the left yesterday and why Townsend didn't play he replied with "Townsend wants to play down the right but I've got wiwf for that, so I'm going to have to look at that" Why buy Townsend if you're not going to play him where he's strongest? He's clueless and people are finding him out now, it's hilarious watching it unravel, he can't hide behind transfers now.

That's sure to upset a few PNE supporters like ?

Hughton is class and this cunt deserves shot with shit for what he aided in doing to him, the slimy snake that he is.

Both have a good argument to be starting, both are in great form, it's nice to be having this discussion rather than who's the shittest Riviere or Cisse?

You're actually meant to pay for it, you know. http://www.billandted.org/photos/movies/eagrab44.jpg

I'll settle for a spirited draw and the illusion they've turned a corner giving Moyes a stay of execution to exact more pain on them.
-
They're hilarious! Several on that thread alone desperate for Hull to beat us! Yeah I just saw that and the mixed starting 11s that had hardly any of our players in, Januzaj better than Perez, Watmore better than Richie??? Shelvey? Nah Catts for me like!

I think Rafa will have them fairly grounded and rotating out a few of the good performers on the night, Mitro being the main one will keep them on their toes.
-
That'll go down well with the peado's. Seething marra

Catch 22 really, sack Moyes and go for a quick fix survival, patching up the grand canyon with a few elastoplasts or stick with Moyes, let it play out to probable relegation and build for a better future.

Truth be known the only thing we would have known about the man at the time was media fed and we all know how reliable that can be, reference the Pardew thread. We're all guilty of it, you only have to listen to the Liverpool supporters to know what kind of guy he's always been. As far as Ashley goes, he's landed on his feet here with Rafa and he'll know it, I can't see him fucking this up, we all know he's capable of it but I think Rafa will have told him exactly what he needs to know and what he wants to hear. We've had the ability to be self sufficient for a while now, we've just not had the right man to lead us, now we have everything we need why change a winning formula? There's always that niggling fear in the back of my head because Ashley has pulled the rug out so many times before, this time does feel very different though.

Never wanted Moyes, glad we never got him, however compared to McClaren, Carver and Pardew if he'd have come I wouldn't have flipped my lid. Did a good job at a cash strapped Everton but hasn't lived up to that standard since. He's finished in football now. I'm still SEETHING like.

This, if he wanted away there would have been plenty of offers when we got relegated, he knows he's on to something here and he knows he's at a team that will idolise him. He's here for the same reason he stayed at Liverpool so long, he just gets it, it's not about the money, it's about everything else.

I was just going to write something similar, we need to rip up the book labeled "typical NUFC things to do" Rafa's written a new one now. As much as we'd all like to see Gayle and Mitro up front together, JP is right, this is Rafa's system, everyone knows their exact roles and he's drilling that into them now so that we are fully prepared if/when we get promoted and we're not tearing up one system and starting on another. I also agree that probably every player we have is able to rotate into this system and we'd still look solid, some are better than others but he has the rotation perfect and it's the first time I've ever not been bothered by what lineup we're going to have before a match.
