I went for the yellow cards and Isak to score anytime with the epic boost for 150-1 £604 return

Averages 4.59 yellows per game

This is where I'm at, I don't think he's in a rush to leave but if the right offer comes in the club might want to sell to help build. I wouldn't want him to leave but the silver lining is seeing some acceleration in our rebuild.

This will be our only win in January, we might be in a bit of a dark place right now but we'll stick it to these.

It was as to be expected, just more infuriating by the fact we got done with 2 extremely soft and dodgy penalty calls and one of our own unsurprisingly glossed over. Yes, we're in a bit of a mess, no, it won't get any better in the short term, hoisten your britches because January is going to be a doozy! I'm sure Howe is as frustrated as all of us right now, but he's still the right man for the job, he just hasn't got the tools right now. We've got some big calls to make this month with regards to playing staff and same big calls before the end of the season with regards to the backroom staff, we can't afford a repeat of this next season.

Haris Vuckic, but there's still chance yet

I would give anything to see Klopp cry-grinding his teeth at full time, something really contentious too to ramp up the tears.

I THREW IT ON THE GROUUUND

Overall consensus is we're most likely going to lose, probably by a few goals too.... Fast forward to 10pm and watch the meltdown online from same said people when what they expected to happen, happens. I'm hopeful we can get something tonight but I'm mentally prepared for a spanking, anything in-between should be a shrug of the shoulders, let's go tear the Mackems a new one at the weekend.

Can't call it, have we had enough rest to show up? We'll run out of steam again at some point, hopefully enough in the tank to prevent a mauling, enough luck and we may stop the rot with a draw.
-
New manager bounce and Nuno has them playing to their strengths, their wingers are rapid and will cause loads of teams problems on the counter. They'll trail off but I think they'll do enough to stay up this season, which is all they want at this point tbf.

Not naive, just trying to stay positive in the face of death

No one expects it, Liverpool will turn up thinking they've already won just by being Liverpool at Anfield and we'll either rob them or walk away with a 0-0 draw.
-
Imagine getting done twice with a "is it in/out?" Goal, this is going to be glorious, hope West Ham hold on here.

Arsenal End of message

A lot of PTSD on here which is hardly surprising when you have to go back to 2011 for our last win. However, it's been almost 8 years to the day since we last played them and a lot has changed in that time. The only way they get anything from this is if they park the bus and hope for some breakaway miracle, but they won't. Might be our only win in January, but we'll win this one.
-
Would snap your hand off for Phillips right now, with our wingers struggling to track back and our wing backs pushing up to support attacks we need someone to sit in the hole and protect the CBs.
-
I know people are sick of the F word but it's definitely a huge factor to how we've been playing, also the quick turn around between games means we've not been able to work on the training ground so not been able to practice new passages of play and are trying to change things on the fly. Now the fixture list has calmed down and players can get rest/actually train, I think we'll see the shoots of improvement in January and go on a run of form in February onward. Hopefully, that will be enough time to mount a charge on a respectable finishing position and a European spot.

The biggest factor for me is what I mentioned above, our wingers energy levels, like it or not fatigue has played a huge part in how we capitulate. When we lose the ball high up the pitch we'd usually have our wingers tracking back and covering defence (remember Gordon running the full width of the pitch to retrieve a ball he lost or the number of times Miggy runs the full length of the pitch to nick the ball back in our 3rd?). Without that extra cover we are vulnerable to the counter, they simply can't do the yards right now. At least for the short term we 100% need a no.6 to help cover the CBs.
-
Exactly this, our high press is reliant on our winger's energy and its non-existant at the moment, can't remember the last time Gordon won a take-on and his ability to get round the back caused the opposition so many problems. Same with Miggy, his relentless tracking of the ball has won us possession high up the pitch so many times last season and earlier this season, they've got nothing in the tank. Almiron has never been the greatest with his decision making and has never used his right foot, but it's obvious the mental fatigue he's suffering has made him 10 times worse, everyone ready to write him off, I just want him well rested, no he's not the answer long term but I guarantee people will be singing his praises again once Myrphy is back and he can get some rest.
-
Absolutely gutting that, not just the result but it really feels like we've been derailed now, weak at the back, toothless up front and disorganised throughout the team. A week until our next game should give us time to get some decent rest and reset our tactics, work on passages of play and formations because at the moment we're all over the shop.
