  1. Pretty simple, the more you pay the quicker it gets done 🤷‍♂️ media pressure means nowt
  2. But also saying 8 games without a win (not that I'm saying you have) is also disingenuous without context. As I said a few pages ago, we look shot of confidence and belief, we went into the game last night expecting to lose, like lambs to the slaughter. I still think it's rashly unfair to judge Howe in the midst of an apocalypse and he should be judged when he has all his players back next season plus new recruits. Let's see what he's learned from this season and how he tackles next.
  3. Took the perfect opportunity to stick the boot in and try and trample us down further in the protection of their precious 6. I won't even bother to dissect the piece as it's all a bunch of conjecture, bias and wilful ignorance. This season looks like a write off after unprecedented bad fortune, weird and untimely injuries, unforseen bans and ridiculous and relentless cup ties. We are in a rut, fatigue, half fit players and an unrelenting injury list put paid to any delusions of grandeur we might have had for this season, battling displays from patched up players and literal children eventually have succumbed to defeats and ultimately a complete loss of belief. This is a culmination of what has preceeded it, we shouldn't have any excuses now but how can you take so many punches in a season and not feel it? Mentally we look shot, rabbits in the headlights tonight watching the inevitable unroll in front of them in slow motion and not having the mental fortitude to do anything about it. It's been rough for Eddie but, for me, it's how he bounces back next season with fresh recruits and all his players back at his disposal that should decide his fate not the season that's akin to the 13th day of the Alamo.
  4. This infuriated me the most, it was clear they just wanted to limit the space out and we kept playing it back into tighter and tighter spaces giving them an easier ball to close down.
  5. Got to hope Willock can come straight back in and make his mark, agree Almiron has been poor and needs to come off to, switch Gordon right and Barnes left.
  6. Unbelievable how much we miss big Joe, no bite in midfield at all, Longstaff is anonymous and Miley is showing his age.
  7. So ponderous on the ball, we look absolutely shot here, Karius the only one awake on the pitch, absolutely horrific and I'm not one for hyperbole.
  8. I saw that, Rice just passing off the ball ambling through our midfield and receiving the ball in the space behind far too easily.
  9. Just have to weather the storm here, our chance will come. Karius keeping us in it at the moment
  10. Less haste more speed, they're on us like a rash
  11. We need some dark arts, rile up the natives, slow the game down.
  12. I have seen other fans criticise West Ham on twitter for wanting him out purely based on league position and the fact they won a cup last season. My answer to them is the same as my answer to the ones criticising us, you can't comment on a team you don't watch week in, week out and a glance at the table tells you nothing.
  13. This is exactly it, scared that other teams could "buy" the league but the glaring irony is that's how its always been. The reality is the red teams want to be the last ones that were able to buy the league before it got too expensive to keep up for these American owners. As I alluded to in another post, for these owners it's not so much about the glory of the competition but about maintaining their membership at the most prestigious table so that they can continue to reap the financial benefits to fill their pockets. They're established and world renowned so they're guaranteed the best sponsorships, kit deals, etc... they don't want to fall off the map and watch that dwindle away, nor have to split the pie into more pieces. As noted, Manchester United have £1b in debt, but it's serviceable with their income, the owners can line their pockets with circa £100m a year and still keep the wolves at bay, they would be royally screwed if teams around them could spend unfettered.
  14. Thats like saying players won't come to us because we value someone at £20m but thr buying club only want to pay £10m
  15. He clearly likes being a firefighter and ducking out when he thinks the club is a steady ship and if that's what he wants good luck to him. I just hope we have some kind of contingency plan for the information he's taking with him, be that some kind of NDA or a quick replacement and change in direction, someone with pedigree and longevity.
  16. It's not the fact we're losing him, it's how it's all played out that's left a bad taste for me.
  17. Shown his true colours now the little skank, hope he gets warts on his willy
  18. I think this is a good explanation of what he's best at and where we're at with him:
  19. Just seen that since Wilson joined in 2020 he's missed 78 games so far which is 41% of the total ganes, presuming he doesn't play again this season it'll be closer to 48% Proven and relatively prolific, but unbelievably injury prone, love the guy but he needs to be replaced.
