  1. Liverpool haven't had 4 transfer windows without any movement though. We have gone stale for different reasons to Slopp. Move on the bad eggs, poor buys and the aging players and instill some energy into fresh faces and committed professionals and Howe absolutely can turn it around, will he? Only time will tell.
  2. Everton getting slapped around like a cheap hooker here, not sure how its only 1-0
  3. Isak is done now, I think that leg break has finished him, however, with the way he left, not a chance. Like your missus going off and banging the local crack dealer after telling you how much she hates you, move on.
  4. Chelsea haven't scored a league goal since 4th March??
  5. MGW being out under concussion protocol is good for us, obviously I hope he's ok
  6. 3 games in 6 days this late in the season is a lot, even with rotation, we should have enough to win this one.

    Nick Pope

We lose or draw that game with Ramsdale between the sticks, Popes kicking is a joke now, invites so much unwarranted pressure on the team, you know when hes on the ball its going back to the opposition either by means of a throw in or directly on their head. Having said that he did really well on crosses and made some important reactive saves. At the very worst he needs to be number 2 next season though.

    Yoane Wissa

I thought he showed promise when he came on yesterday, led the line well, as others have said he looks low on confidence and he almost completely fluffed his "assist" for Barnes' goal, but he did the hard work pressing and winning the ball that high up and rounding the defence to be one on one with the keeper and had the wherewithall to try and lay it off rather than blast it from a tight angle. He'll come good.
  9. It beggars belief the level of negativity after a win. Was it a game of the ages? No. Did we win? Absolutely! So it wasn't pretty in parts, but we looked like scoring every time we went forward in the first half, but after such a poor run of games we started to look nervy, so many times we've conspired to throw away a lead this season and it has absolutely knocked our confidence. But we dug in, we handled the pressure, we rode our luck at times, but we got the rub of the green which haven't when we've played better at times this season and we were the ones to deal the sucker punch that we're usually on the receiving end of. Wins build confidence and confidence builds momentum and momentum builds swagger, so thats stage one complete albeit too late in the season to affect much but we were never going to go out there and dominate 90 minutes after such a tumultuous season, we did what we needed to and we won by any means possible and we won by deserving to win, even if it was ugly at times. I can't be anything but positive and happy about that.
  10. What an easy and stressless 2nd half of football, can I gloat now?
  11. Did I mention it was going to be one of those games everyone slagged the starting line-up and Howe shuts everyone up again? Did I also mention that this was the game we finally turned up? Am I gloating? Yes, yes and damn straight
  12. Feels like one of those line ups everyone slags and then we go win
  13. Keep it tight bring the big guns on later in the game.
  14. This is the game we've been waiting for all season, time for it to click, Bruno will drag everyone up by their boot straps, Joelinton is going to freight train his way through any player with the ball, Barnes has his bow and arrow perfectly lined up, Wissa remembers he can play football, Wolte dances round their players with the ball on a string and Botman fills his pockets with Welbeck. 3-0 win, bookmark this post.
  15. I think its fair to say that both Howe and the players are responsible for both the good and the bad, ultimately Howe can give them all the tools necessary to perform on the pitch and get those results but he can't put the ball in the net or prevent it going in ours. Of course he's not innocent in our current malaise but hes also been let down by the players, these two things are not mutually exclusive. To say the CL qualification and/or the cup win was attributed to him so the current form has to be too is not constructive, just as much as saying he is the one that won us the cup or got us CL qualification, neither are true. He will always be remembered as the manager who brought us those things and ended our trophy drought but let's not pretend that players such as Bruno and Burn haven't taken their rightful plaudits or aren't being held in the same esteem for those wins too, so players should also shoulder responsibility for the current form we're seeing. Its not as black and white as Howe won us the cup but the players are responsible now, both have differing responsibilities for both things.
  16. Irregardless it needed said
  17. I missed that, changed it for you now.
  18. Obviously given the summer it is a wise move to change tack, we have been burned in a multitude of ways, both in being beaten to targets by "bigger" clubs to having our eyes clawed out for what has turned into mediocre players. I just hope we don't overcompensate too much and leave our squad short of experience and leadership. I think this works for Eddie too, he can concentrate on getting the best out of his players and drawing out the maximum potential in players, which he has been so good at in the past. I also think that it buys him some time next season, if we get off to a stuttered start he will be given a little more rope to gel such a team together. I am actually excited to see how this summer goes and subsequently next season.
  19. I know two Man Utd fans that would take him in an instant. Manchester United. Not Bournemouth; Manchester United. What's your point?
  20. I would hope we have at least a few deals agreed in principle already, it will take a gargantuan effort to get things right in one window, but not impossible. Sell anyone that doesn't want to be here, there's no point in carrying players for another season, get rid of those aging out and build a team around Bruno, Miley and Hall. Sucks for us that its a World Cup year as that will likely slow things down too.
  21. PSG will absolutely score, they're so good going forward but Bayern at home will be too much for them.
