He was a right footer with a free kick at goal- so naturally decided to show off and kick for goal left footed. Predictably, he missed. Thankfully, we still won. I know it's been said before but for a flair player I just love his strength and willingness to keep his feet. It's actually really surprised me watching him this year. He rarely gets pushed off the ball, and that run today- there's not many players in the league that wouldn't have gone to ground at least once in an attempt to win the free kick. Not the first time it's happened, either- I don't remember ever seeing him take a dive / tumble a little too easily. He just wants to keep playing and that's such a refreshing attitude.
