  1. RIP. Managed to get 35-year-old Gary McAllister rolling back the years. Was always jealous of Houllier's Liverpool. We pipped them to a CL spot on 03/04 but they were a much better all-round side. Felt like if we'd recruited where we really needed to - namely the back four - we could've properly rivalled them.
  2. I watch them because in "these strange times" (copyright: every single MP and media outlet) there's nothing else to do. However I feel very little emotion when we score or win. Right now I just find myself laughing in disbelief at how lucky we can be. I've done one game as Bruce as manager - Leicester away last season - and walked out after the fourth went in, calling him every name under the sun. I've got no desire to go back as long as he or Ashley are here.
  3. No such thing as 'soft' when Penchester United are involved.
  4. Absolutely dire game, that. We're fortunate there's at least three sides who are absolutely dogshit (even compared to us). Peach of a cross and an excellent header, though.
  5. He'll inexplicably haul Almiron off for Hendrick around 70 minutes.
  6. Can't remember the last time we got so much space and time on the ball for such long periods. ASM would have a right old day.
  7. Club have put photos up of some players arriving. Darlow, Gayle, Joelinton, Wilson and Almiron are all there.
  8. So why’s he doing it then if he’s gaining nothing from it? We’ve seen saves this season (Darlow for example v Man U) which shows they don’t need to do it. Keeper has to be touching the line when the kick’s taken. He’s probably paid £50k a week and he’s cost his team a goal by not following something so basic, even more so when he knows he’s going to be pulled back if he saves it and he’s stepped forward. It's natural instinct to step forward. You don't dive sideways from being flat-footed. Yes he should've stood behind the line but we're talking inches at best. It's just an utterly petty thing to pick up on.
  9. Fucking ridiculous, that. Fabianski hardly gained an advantage when the penalty was struck that poorly anyway.
  10. The ones I know weren't alive or didn't properly live through that, though. This is just flat out league one. I still find it hilarious that they'd rather sit on their hands, grumble and accept the shit served to them rather than do anything physical/visible in or outside the stadium of shite etc because "it's what the mags do".
  11. How many games have we played in European competitions? Olympiakos in 2005 was our 100th wasn't it? If someone knows the total, I might keep that in my back pocket for gloating purposes when they pass that with their league one total...

  13. Depends on how normal you think Danny Baker is.
  14. Can't even work out if they're full strength or not, given the majority of their squad is made up of people no cunt knows. Got a feeling their best couple of players are knackered at the mo, Gewch and Lewk. They've brought Eyden McGeydey back in, though.

  16. Had SSN on while I was looking for the Yewchewb feed and Kaveh "the victim" Solhekol was already prattling on at length about Jan Tomaszewski. There'll be more of that to come when the time arrives.
  17. Perfect opportunity for Michael Keane to show what a great defender he really is.
  18. Fire up the Trabi, we're going on a tour of the Eastern Bloc.
