  1. Living near Birmingham I went to the St Andrews ticket office today and enquired. They said there will be tickets on sale to away fans before the game from an office booth by the away end but not from the Garrisons Lane place as stated on .com Thanks, yeah I know where that booth is. Thats the main ticket office.
  2. Cant see it being a classic. Probably similar to today. Brum are a very strong, physical side. Going for 0-0 or 1-1. Confident we can match them, it's just the lack of strikers which is going to be the issue. I would advise against wearing colours for this fixture if people are heading down, theres often trouble in the Small Heath area of Birmingham and they've definately had trouble with fans in the past.
  3. Those slagging him off and saying we should put ranger on forget that ranger isn't pele. Look at that miss v West Ham.

    Ambition

Financial stability is underrated. Look at all the clubs going into administration, and we weren't far off themselves. Yes, I'm disappointed we've lost Andy Carroll but £35million spent in the correct manner could do a world of good to our squad. The ridiculous amount of money in football has to end somewhere, and when it does the likes of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea will be up shit creek whereas we'll (hopefully) be paddling along fine. I'd definately rather we signed young hungry players on low wages looking to make an impression, and lost a few to bigger clubs than signing players at the end of their careers with no resale value on high wages. £35million could potentially get us 7 Tiotes' or Ben Arfas' judging by previous negotiations. Or it could get us 2 Owen's. It's a shame to lose good players, but is it a lack of ambition? £12m for milner was fantastic business at the time, and £35m for Carroll makes him the most expensive english player ever. £47m could be spent a lot better (whether it will we will wait and see)
  5. out of the 15 games we have left, 2 wins and 4 draws would see us to 40 points which would be safety. Thats 2 wins 4 draws and 9 losses. Surely we'll get that.
  6. i'd be somewhat pleased with that. still quite raw though, not in terms of technique which is excellent but in terms of decisions, impact on games and goal threat. mind you even though he is tall he is less a Carroll type player and more like dean ashton in that he drops deep and uses his strength and technique to create chances. he says "if its £10m or more ill drive him there myself"
  7. ipswich supporting mate reckons wickham is coming to us
  8. unbelievable signing for leicester if they pull it off

    Alan Pardew

6 points from the last 2 instead of 2 would mean that we'd be on 34 with a game in hand over sunderland with 36 and spurs on 37. Done very well so far, shame that we couldnt get the 2nd goal and then got robbed in the final minutes
  10. If Houllier gets sacked by Villa, I hear Gary Glitter is one of the favourites to succeed him. Rumour has it he likes the fact that the strikers are young and bent.

  12. "What did you think of Kevin Nolans performance in the Tyne Wear derby today Chris?" "He's not a player I'm aware of" etc.

    Alan Pardew

exactly. I hate the way Hughton got shafted but the blokes had five games.
  14. Hodgson really is the worst pool manager since Michael Barrymore.
  15. I think we are certainly capable of getting a win, although I will take the draw if offered. I dont think theres a lot between the 2 teams in terms of quality. They have the good home record, but we seem to be improving and attacking more. If we go there and perform, anything could happen. It will be a very close game and tough to call. Sunderland will rightly be the favourites but I wouldnt be overly surprised if we got the three points.
  16. and Carew at Villa when we lost 4-1.
  17. Winker Ronaldo got one against us at Old Trafford didnt he?
  18. Welbeck has looked good this season. Ben Arfa has looked outstanding over a smaller number of games. Ben Arfa has the potential to be an outstanding player, but is a risk. I'd definately rather have HBA but I can understand Wearside's perspective.
  19. Think the mackem is right, you cant accuse others of being obsessed and then do the same. That said, there is some quality banter in here
  20. We've got 22 points at the moment. Assuming 38 sees us home and dry, thats 16 points from 19 games. Thats 4 wins, 4 draws and 11 losses. Surely we arent that shit?
  21. [mg]http://www.avforums.com/forums/attachments/sport/136700d1251910625-ssn-better-than-qvc-hyping-nothing-jim-white.jpg[/img] FOR f***s SAKE, IT ISN'T A REAL BASTARDING WINDOW alright dont get your knickers in a twist!
  22. The moment the January transfer window slams shut is when I will attempt to try and put us in one of those groups. League is so tight anything could happen between now and the end of the season. Will be interesting.
