  1. Never a better time to play man united if you asked me. all their top players will have had longer breaks from international duty, they always start poorly and we wont be expected to gain anything out of this fixture. chances are we will lose but a draw isnt completely out of the question. a good performance will do me.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

    boom and indeed boom.
  3. Safe, you'll be grand. Just wear yellow and blue although you should be supporting Besiktas as they play in black and white. Tickets, a quick google has led me to www.biletix.com via the Fenerbahce website. It could be worth just ringing the club closer to the time n all (depending on when you're going). cheers. yeah found that ticket website, its just a case of actually getting them! have you been before do you mind me asking? The atmosphere im sure would be amazing, but ive seen youtube videos of riots between galatasaray and fenerbahce, and it might put me off.
  4. Sorry to resurrect this. I've checked the fixtures, and it appears that Fenerbahce are playing a derby against Besiktas on the day I arrive! Can anyone speak from experience to advise me whether or not I have a chance of getting tickets, and if so would it be safe to attend?
  5. I'm going on holiday this summer to Lisbon and Istanbul. Was thinking I might see a foreign game in one or both of those places, as I've not had the experience. Can anyone shed any light on their experiences if they have done similar? I would love to go see Fenerbahce, but I have heard that they have a bit of a violent reputation, and this is what puts me off. Would I be better off with Benfica?
  6. should have sort of system whereby the tie can be decided there and then (ET and pens) if both managers agree. if they dont, it goes to replay.
  7. Maybe you are remembering the half Ipswich and half NUFC scrafs we had last year. To me those scarfs are fine, but on a shirt it doesn't work and doesn't look right, infact it looks tacky. The only idea like that that seems reasonable is a reversable one. We would have to get some feedback from Ipwsich ans though, but I would take a guess and say that like us they would prefer their own shirts dedicated to SBR. If an NUFC shirt were to be manufactured, a similar ipswich shirt could be made and manufactured using the same template (except plain blue)
  8. Part of the problem may well be that by the time this is manufactured, everyone will already have bought the puma shirt
  9. agreed, he will have until half time at old trafford to make an impression.
  10. Poll options should be changed to back, sack and crack
  11. How many managers do we need to sack before we realise its the players that are letting us down? I dont agree with everything Capello has done, but his record speaks for itself. lampard, gerrard, rooney, terry, ashley cole et al are nothing but a bunch of overpaid overhyped borderline rapists and ive been saying that for years. Sven, Capello and McLaren have all been top notch at club level yet England still don't get the results- when are people going to accept that if these players were half as good as they think they are, they'd be able to play as a team and score a bloody goal against algeria? Bleeding Chile and Ghana can play with a bit of heart, these overpaid tosspots should be able to as well
  12. click on this one http://www.vuvuzela-time.co.uk/www.newcastle-online.org
  13. Did we not extend the deal with Adidas in the end then? How long is the deal with puma for?
  14. The thing is though, I've never lived in or around Newcastle, and yet theres always been Newcastle fans (young and old) around. If theres a Newcastle game on in the pub, at least 1 other person will be there in a toon shirt, even in the quietest of places. I'm in uni halls, living with a Newcastle fan from Burnley. Out of 120 people in my year at school last year (southeast) , 5 were NUFC fans. Thats quite impressive when you think there were some with absolutely no interest in football, no fulham, QPR, Palace, Gillingham fans that I'm aware of which are all more local. Even despite how bad we are, there's still a sizeable minority who support the toon everywhere with no affiliation to the area. Those that say "No-one cares about NUFC outside of Newcastle" evidently haven't been outside Newcastle.
  15. Didn't know a lot about football at the time. Started supporting us when we Souness was running the show ( )Liked the fact that we had a lot of English players and generally just a warm feeling towards the club when watching us on MOTD. Armchair fan at that point. Went to first away game against West Ham where we won 2-0 and never looked back! Been to about 15 away games and 1 home game. Complete abscence of any local league team (nearest is Gillingham- hour and a half away) and parents not even remotely interested in football, so no influence from them.
  16. Capello reveals plans to rate every player after the game and sell ratings on at a high price.
  17. well the liquidation process would start if no offers were made, so more likely an announcement will be made shortly.
  18. Bloke on another website seemed to think Sheff Wed would take palace's place. My mate is a palace fan, so would be gutting for him.
  19. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11706_6182403,00.html Sorry if I've got the wrong idea or if it's posted elsewhere. Looks like if they don't get a deal through by 3pm tomorrow, they fold.
  20. fly them over to switzerland, and they won't be needing a return flight.
  21. I'm going to dig myself out of this whole here by starting a fixture list.
  22. 5. Which implies we are as likely to go down as we are stay up. I don't see how relegation can be any more likely than that with the usual suspects West Brom, playoff winners, Wolves, Stoke, West Ham, Bolton, Birmingham, Wigan. Incidentally, can we have a Europe-o-meter just so we can bump one after a win and one after a defeat?
  23. Could be a case of lowering transfer fees and fan's expectations. I don't know, it could be. Let's not make mountains out of molehills, let's wait and see what has happened come the end of the transfer window and more importantly the end of the season. Ashley is a serial bullshitter so I'm not going to try and second guess any statements.
