It's worth mentioning that we conceded 3 to derby last season, 4 to west brom and 2 to blackpool and scunthorpe. Our (arguably) hardest away game has gone and we lost 3-0, just after chelsea lost 3-1. We are an average-poor premier league team and these results are going to come. I'd be more worried if we lost 4-0 at home to blackpool. They should really be the ones worrying about their performance. West Ham and West Brom were also very poor

So which bar is the longest anyway?

Let's hope for a spirited performance at OT tomorrow, thats the least we can expect. Birmingham finished 10th (11th?) last season with a poor squad and steven carr as their captain. on paper, we are at least as good as them and so it all depends on Hughton and team spirit -

Aston Villa appoint Alex McLeish as new manager

i study in birmingham and have sat in the holte end a couple of times for villa games. the fans are absolutely unbelievable! the amount of abuse they gave their team when they drew 1-1 against sunderland was in my opinion, embaressing. not tarring all their fans with the same brush because that would be unfair but the overwhelming effect from the holte end was to boo, shout and generally get on the back of their manager and team. the abuse heskey got just for being subbed on was unbelievable -

Never a better time to play man united if you asked me. all their top players will have had longer breaks from international duty, they always start poorly and we wont be expected to gain anything out of this fixture. chances are we will lose but a draw isnt completely out of the question. a good performance will do me. -
Safe, you'll be grand. Just wear yellow and blue although you should be supporting Besiktas as they play in black and white. Tickets, a quick google has led me to www.biletix.com via the Fenerbahce website. It could be worth just ringing the club closer to the time n all (depending on when you're going). cheers. yeah found that ticket website, its just a case of actually getting them! have you been before do you mind me asking? The atmosphere im sure would be amazing, but ive seen youtube videos of riots between galatasaray and fenerbahce, and it might put me off.
-
Sorry to resurrect this. I've checked the fixtures, and it appears that Fenerbahce are playing a derby against Besiktas on the day I arrive! Can anyone speak from experience to advise me whether or not I have a chance of getting tickets, and if so would it be safe to attend?
-
I'm going on holiday this summer to Lisbon and Istanbul. Was thinking I might see a foreign game in one or both of those places, as I've not had the experience. Can anyone shed any light on their experiences if they have done similar? I would love to go see Fenerbahce, but I have heard that they have a bit of a violent reputation, and this is what puts me off. Would I be better off with Benfica?

should have sort of system whereby the tie can be decided there and then (ET and pens) if both managers agree. if they dont, it goes to replay.

Maybe you are remembering the half Ipswich and half NUFC scrafs we had last year. To me those scarfs are fine, but on a shirt it doesn't work and doesn't look right, infact it looks tacky. The only idea like that that seems reasonable is a reversable one. We would have to get some feedback from Ipwsich ans though, but I would take a guess and say that like us they would prefer their own shirts dedicated to SBR. If an NUFC shirt were to be manufactured, a similar ipswich shirt could be made and manufactured using the same template (except plain blue)
-
Part of the problem may well be that by the time this is manufactured, everyone will already have bought the puma shirt
-
agreed, he will have until half time at old trafford to make an impression.

Poll options should be changed to back, sack and crack

How many managers do we need to sack before we realise its the players that are letting us down? I dont agree with everything Capello has done, but his record speaks for itself. lampard, gerrard, rooney, terry, ashley cole et al are nothing but a bunch of overpaid overhyped borderline rapists and ive been saying that for years. Sven, Capello and McLaren have all been top notch at club level yet England still don't get the results- when are people going to accept that if these players were half as good as they think they are, they'd be able to play as a team and score a bloody goal against algeria? Bleeding Chile and Ghana can play with a bit of heart, these overpaid tosspots should be able to as well
