well i do think roeder has a bit of a point- i mean hes obviously bitter but right in sayingthat we shd be in top 6, and that sam shouldnt have 5 years. however, he cant talk cos he was shite, and at least sam has actually made some signings and as a bonus- they are good!!! i think realistic aims for the future: next season: comfortable top 10 with strong football in fa/league cups. europe a bonus 08/09: preserving our place in the top 10/ Europe and automaticaly qualifying for uefa cup. 6th? 09/10: again, keeping our 6th place position, going for 5th. 10/11: we need to be in the position spurs are in now- ready for a champions league fight. 11/12: champions league anyone hu thinks we r gonna finish 5th or above next season has a screw loose imo.

bridge and baines both very good, as long as we dont have babayro i will be over the moon!

if shepherd had beeen in charge and spent £300m, i think it could have all gone badly wrong!!! Im glad asgley has taken over because at least it means it will be profitable now, rther than a joke. shepherd just watned us to have a big stadium so we can look as good as arsenal!! at least with ashley, i have confidence in things

man u first, tottenham 4th, newcastle 6th, relegated: wigan (shit manager), derby (shit generally), birmingham. bolton and fulham to narrowly survive, pompey and reading to sink, sunderland to do a reading (as much as it pains me to say) or come last- lets see how keane does, boro 16th

Wenger reportedly wants Oba for 13 million according to Sun.

YOU ARE ALL MAD!!! I would be devastated if Martins left!!! I think buying him was the only good thing Roeder did for us. Think about it, we would have been relegated without his goals, and he is only 22 and can improve so much!!! Roeder was a crap manager, and Martins had noone decent to actually play up front with, and he had no service from our midfield- yet he still scored 17 goals in his first season in the premiership!!!! yes he finished badly, but think about the game against spurs at white hart lane, where he won it for us (ok fine with given). He scores amazing goals, is really fast, is entertaining to watch when he is doing well, and can jump to about twice his height!! AND HE DOES BACKFLIPS!!! you are all to quick to criticise him for the end of the season, but it wasnt just him doing badly, everyone was!!! Think about when we were doing well!! surely we will see more of the best next season? AND MAINLY, HE WILL IMPROVE!!! DECENT MANAGER, DECENT PARTNERSHIP, DECENT MIDFIELD, EXPERIENCE, MORE CONFIDENCE!!!! considering he scored 17 goals without scoring hardly any at the start or end, we have a bloody good striker!! Martins is still improving, Owen has past his best! I would rather sell Owen for £9million than Martins for £20 million!!! -
At present we have Nicky Butt, a 32 year old there. Of course we need defenders but we can't just stop looking at other areas because of this! exactly. people who keep going on about us signing absolutely nobody until we have defenders need to stop being so f****** retarded. True. Would be no good if we have the opportunity to get someone like Diarra in now, but waited until August or whenever after we'd signed 3 more defenders, when all the good players have already been snapped up and we're looking at Plan D & E. personally i dont care when we get them in as long as we have a squad by august 11!

considering taylor is 21 and that is kinda an excuse to make mistakes anyway, but who has he had teaching him his trade over the last few years? why, glenn roeder and graeme souness!! and who has he had to influence him? why titus bramble, craig moore, babayaro and carr!!! I think maybe, just maybe that under a decent manager (allardyce) and another experienced, decent centreback (like sol cambell on a free which we turned down last year!!!!) then taylor will be in the full england squad in no time at all. He can be far better than ledley king under the right influence, I think he could be england captain if he really goes for it, although that is a long time away.

haha reading this is hilarrious

the away kit looks better than last season but i still wont be buying it. what the hell are they making given wear?!! as you can see he is less than happy. cant blame him. whoever is desgining our kits at the moment deserves to be shot!!
-
luke young for 2 million yes, use him as cover for nobby. get in baines as well as rozenhal and that sorts us for next seaspn to get into uefa cup, i hope. then we need to think bigger, unless they really suprise me- keep taylor though and anyone else who excels.
-
17 milion? madness. very good player but surely thats pushing it a bit. i think its just because all these bonus payments from sky and billionare owners, all its doing is making footballers wages go even higher, transfers higher still and isolating the big 4 from the rest and the prem clubs from the championship. that would be why people seem to be paying barton 70000 a week, and parker supposedly 80000, ballack and shevchenko 130000 and god knows what else
-
looks quite good so far, looks like our uefa cup kit from last season. looks better than our previous away kit which not even bramble would be fit to wear!!! it was a crime against clothing!!!
-
i live in london and see all the away games i can (last season- fulham, chelsea, spurs, west ham) does anyone think i have any decent chance of getting tickets again for them next season if we start playing well? surely more ST holders will want to watch away games leaving me to have to watch it illegally on the internet!!! i mite also get to see a game at SJP, hopefully get a taste of the tyne-wear derby!!
-
emre was quite good there wasnt he aprt from when he is injured? he can tackle and cross!
-
might as well keep him until january at least, hes a good player he just has been shit for us, by that i mean goals only in shearers testimonial, intertoto and sunderland thrashing. although the first 2 are quite good goals, showing his class. i cant help thinking if allardyce can get the best out of diouf then he can do the same with barton and luque
-
we didnt particularly enjoy your time either souness!! and you say we have problems- i wonder who gave them to us!

Roda JC after Krul; signed new 4-year NUFC contract last week

seems a good idea to me, get some experience. as long as he remains ours though, i think he can become given when he retires. we could loan him to watford like ben foster! -
German model season ticket prices - 0% Toon warning.

im from the south of england and go to all the newcastle away matches in london. im also 16, do they actually care whether you get in on a child ticket becasue so far ive noticed they have so many people to let in, they cant be bothered to check ID or anything!! saves me about £20 a game anyway, because im poor and as such i refuse to pay £40 plus £15 rail fare to see some of the shite served up last season by roeder!! -
emriates stadium, reebok stadium, leicesters is walkers stadium, jjb stadium, (interesting how i thought of leicseter before wigan- probs cos they have bramble now!!) northern rock arena anyone? although sunderlands should be stadium of shite
-
they are both awful!! get them out!! what i want 2 know is why noone seems to have noticed this before? i mean surely solano taylor ramage duff would have been better than carr taylor bramble babayaro? then play nzogbia on the left??? surely!!!
-
if we can afford to spend £8m on boumsong, £6m on bramble, £10m on luque etc. i think we can afford to risk "less than 1 million" on this guy!!!!
-
yeah that would be great, or tottenham v newcastle always seems to be a good game!! and we win!! so spurs home. liverpool and chelsea away at the start would be good because they alwayts suck at the start of the season.
