most people will disagree with me here, but i think we should alternate it and not have a specific penalty taker. if we are going to be successful in cup competitions we need everyone to be able to score a penalty. if we have one specific taker, goalies (like reina) might do research and can predict where they are going to hit it. look at liverpool- they practice penalties all the time, and as a result always go through- reina researches which way they dive, and all the players penalties go into the corners. we need to be like that

yeah loan him out to derby county or something. its not like hes gonna play that much for us really this season is it? look how good foster is now after his 2 seasons at watford!
-
havent been there but people have mainly been impressed with him.

well, hes a defender and must be better than bramble, so bring him in. tbh, even if we dont sign any more players I still think well do better thn last season!! given harper krul geremi taylor rozenhal solano ramage, huntington, edgar, carr babayaro, duff milner barton emre nzogbia butt, duff, owen viduka martins ameobi caroll we need more defenders but we can still do better than last season providing we dont get too many injuries (whats that you say- bartons out for 6 weeks?)

Well, Mr Ashley has been a monstrous disappoinment thus far, and no mistake..... well im still optimistic- we now have a decent manager, and shepherd has no power now!! this seasons gonna be alright but not europe standard i dont think, i mean we are in transition what do you expect? with the barton injury, yeah i saw it on SSN, 6 or 7 weeks out and operation on Monday. Poor bloke, I liked him so far. heres hoping the rest heal quickly. anyone know how long its gonna take these others to come back?

ive always thought dyer gets a fair bit of unfair stick from newcastle fans- hes one of those players that wen he plays well so does the team. martins is another. wen they both play shite, so does everyone else -
poor bloke- i know hes good hes just ben under shoddy management, good luck to him

even if we dont sign any more players, i still think we have a better squad than last season- and will still finish higher. with the rest of the transfer window still to go and the fact we hve signed 4 players lready, whats the problem?

He said: "Albert is lucky to be a footballer, but because so much money has been spent on him and that no one wants him i've decided i'll give him a shot as no one else will. Its tough being a football manager, but people expect miracles, and turning Albert Luque into a playable footballer, well, its a good job my best friend is David Blaine" you are joking? he wouldnt actually say that surely?
-
oba's pace and spring, is immense!! think about how good he was when he was on form!! and with a decent manager, and a years prem experience, and some decent team mates, he will rule!! hes great to watch and is pure class!!
-
why the HELL would either riise or heinze leave champions league clubs to come to us? if they were going to leave they would leave for a cl club!
-
to those 2 ppl having an argument about whether or not we will finish top4, i say no. sorry to say people, but i just dont think that anyone except spurs will crack the top 4 this season. last season, there was about 15 points between spurs and arsenal, and we cant really go from 13th to 4th in one season!! tbh, this season id take anything above 8th, although id like to think we can come 6th if we try!! id take gradual improvement over 1 good season followed by mid-table anyday. look what happened to villa last season- was it 16th in 05/06 and then 10th in 06/07? something like that. so if we move up 6 places, we come 7th.
-
i agree in principle- a good defence would mean that we have a greater chance of success. i mean look at chelsea- they score 1 goal and defend for 85 minutes and they were only 6 points off the title. either that or they get a fluke goal out of nowhere i the 92nd minute!!! my point is chelsea play shit football, and still came 2nd- imagine what we could do with a decent defence and decent attackingness.
-
balls. oh well, if any of you people suddenly decide you dont want to go and see newcastle in the fa cup final, can i please have your ticket!!!??
-
do you think i could get a ticket to a cup final if we got into it? bear in mind, im from the south of england and not a season ticket holder
