Marco Silva is an absolute bellend like. Always moaning and I don't think I have ever seen a team be manages being beaten when it isn't the refs fault. The Portuguese Mark Hughes. -

I've lost count of the times TV is showing a replay of our goal and by the time the camera pans to the action we are defending a 1 on 1 -
I could try and retrospectively justify why I mentioned Luton in my post but you are right - it was completely irrelevant.
-
My point was that Sunderland represent comparatively more of a difficult game than any other promoted team to Newcastle for obvious reasons and our long term history would suggest that getting 6 points of promoted teams can be difficult
-
Why anyone thought Sunderland would be 6 easy points is beyond me. We struggle to take 6 points off any promoted team, never mind throwing in the derby angle, which will comparatively make Sunderland a more tricky game for us than our competitors. Luton took 4 points off us in 2023/24.

I didn't watch the game at all because i hate this fixture. I simply logged on here at 4 pm to see the final result. In doing so I was praying I would not see this guy's name at the top of the topic list because I knew what it meant. Here we are.

Lewis Miley: signs six-year contract extension (Official)

Miley has all the physical attributes. Looks like he was purpose built in a lab to be a premier league footballer. Deserves to start on merit. -

We have completely lost our knack for the dark arts in seeing out games. Out first CL qualifying campaign we were top tier shit housers. -

Agree. The midfield form a flat bank of five out of possession, allowing one pass to take 2-3 players out of of the game. This has been a constant theme throughout this season - it was particularly bad at West Ham. -

Captain obvious but that Murphy moment was huge. Guaranteed win if that goes in. We do not have the mentality to hold onto one goal leads. -

He sensibly kept possession with zero options and has been great since coming on -

When we go into low block out of possession we have 5 midfielders in a straight line, with no man to man marking, and all it takes is one easy pass through the lines to get through it. -
Great today. Proper 1990s style wing play.
-
The 2-3 times he got it out his feet and pinged in a cross the delivery was excellent. When he has time to engage his brain it all seems to fall apart

Our mentality at the end of games is the worst in the league. Pathetic -

Bruno going for the second goal from the corner and making a complete arse of it was the highlight for me. Love it when this bloke goes into Roy of the Rovers mode. -
Disagree. Their form since Emery is consistently top four. It's no fluke since it's been ongoing for four years.
-
Villa mentality to win the game at the end was superb. Such a contrast to seeing out approach in injury time

Our in game management when leading has been dreadful this year. -
I remember a Bournemouth fan saying exactly this when we first got Howe "Don't get excited by any new signings as they will unlikely play for the first year"
