same side....dont underestimate the importance of playing the same side every week when they are getting the results! i can live with a draw...its important that we dont loose so that we face liverpool with spirits high! viduka to replace oba we should focus on defending and see how the game develops!

owen and martins will always score goals! Joe is right when he says defence is most important!....at least from when he came in as caretaker.....we weren´t winning and we needed to find our ground! confidence were low...so first we needed some ok results to bulid on.....we were not good enough just to attack and play that kind of football! Hated you last week joe.....but this seems like the right approach of the game for time being!

I also finds it very very annoying when people wants colo to play dcm....leave players to they right positions....especially positions like cb where a lot of rotation is straight up stupid!!! (know we have missed a lot of 1st players)

I always get the feeling that youngsters are considered a last resort for first team action at Newcastle. For me the sensible thing would be to promote them to the bench when we have injuries in a specific area in the team like - let's say from the top of my head - central midfield. That is common sense.....but you never know with this club! We need a manager to stay long long time in order to develop a system or formation we would play EVERY week (maybe with few changes if we play one of the 4 big away) Reserves and youth must play same system and the manager looks for promising youngsters as well.....its the only way to do it......like arsenal! (have to mention i dont no anything about the system which we play in the reserves.....but i´ll be surprised if its the same as our 1st team which changes every second game) Then we wouldn´t have promising players like LuaLua in the reserve-team which dosen´t get the chance in the 1st team because he dosen´t fits any positions! what the f... is that? One of the most promising in reserves is hardly considered for the 1st team eventhough we lack so much debt there! I hope we would try to copy arsenals concept......would not like us to go the same way as Man City! Actually I believe Ashley was trying to go the arsenal way....and Keegan wanted the City way.....Ashley should never have hired Wise and others. Leave it all to Shearer.....he would be a good choice i believe.....give him at least 3 years!! how many kids have come through our ranks recently who have been good enough even for a regular spot on the bench ? it's not as if many have moved on and proved us wrong. S. Taylor is the only one for about 10 years (dont know, maybe ameobi?) but cant remember! maybe we should shut down the youth academy....seems like a waste of time and money

we should play the same system throughout the ranks...so everyone is bought or developed to fit one or two positions! so everytime a youngster get the chances he would know what to do because hes familar with the position! To be able to do that we need a manager with vision to stay for at least 3-4 years.....that would really benefit the club all over! Get SHEARER to do that job!!

Our central midfield has been our biggest problem for long long time. We need a strong def. central midfielder....some one like Chr. Poulsen or yaya toure and an att. central midfielder like Diego! If we spend up to 20 mill pund on 2-3 central midfielders....we would actually have a chance to move up the table which is quiet even this year. Our defence have proved good enough (just need cover on LB and RB) and so is our attack if only they get the supply (not long balls) We dont have any threat from midfield at all...maybe Zog....but he havent really produced anything for a long time. We should play him week in week out (then i believe he could be good) if not sell course he´ll only stay if he plays every week.

didn´t see the match! but why did he change formation a ht, when we where crusing? why did he sub guthrie? why change a strong back 4 ? actually i was a bit positive about getting jk a deal until the end of the season...its all gone! how can he be so incompetent....its a joke! Can´t remember when this club mad a clever move?.....except for the jonas and bassong deals....mainly because of their transfer fees! ABSOLUTLY GUTTED

think we should concentrate on getting: 1 rb, cover for beye 1-2-3 central midfielders....dcm, ocm and cm, we need quality there and don´t have any at the moment 1 wing 1 striker....but only if one leaves players out: SMITH, AMEOBI, BUTT, DUFF, GEREMI, CACAPA and (owen, viduka) if not now at least in the summer! NO IDEA WHO IS INTERESTED IN COMING HERE

Where has it come out that KK wanted Lampard, Beckham etc? read it 2 different places...but the sources could definitely be questioned ....but if (as i wrote earlier) this where his 3 of his main targets i doubt he is the right man for the job!

If we follow the identical model, great, but do we have a Wenger to do that? As i said, my fear is of us being a second rate version - not able to attract the cream of the crop and settling for second best, leaving us in mid table obscurity, selling our best players as soon as they show some form and not challenging again. Even Arsenal, with Wenger, have failed to win anything for a few years. What he does is admirable and one league win for them is worth 5 Chelski wins in my opinion, but it seems now they can no longer compete. Watch chance do we have without Wenger, London and being years behind? true true....it would extremely difficult to achieve what wenger has, no doubt!!! but if arsenal is top 4 every year and wins a title every second or third year it ain´t that bad....and in a league with teams like chelsea, man u and liverpool its difficult to expect a league win every year! but if we developed a concept like arsenal or ajax we would have a good foundation. And if succes comes it won´t be difficult to hold on to or sign quality players! Look at ajax...they manage to hold to top players like huntelaar for 3-4 seasons in a not very attractive league! Pr. L and a "succesful" newcastle utd will always be attractive! i know we never will be able to do what wenger has done....but something like it is what we should aim for.

This is my biggest fear. I hope it's not the case, but if we turn into a low-rent Arsenal, bringing youth players through without the lure of the capital / recent history Arsenal have so getting slightly worse players, then selling them on i'll be gutted. Not sure i could take us being turned into some kind of football farm. As i say though, i'm hoping that's not the case. Can´t really understand your fear of that! I really do admire wenger and what he´s done at arsenal. they play beautiful football have a young squad and dont pay silly wages like us and end up with overpaid useless players like smith. And he still buy "expensive" good attractive players nasri. can´t see there problem......though i know we are at least 5-10 years behind.

F... Deschamps ! ! ! Not really keen on moyes either....he´s done a great job at everton...but not sure thats what we need! No idea what we need....but it has to be a "big / good name" or he´ll have a really hard time from the start and so will ashley! what i know is that we need someone to stay for at least 4-5 years to create a concept through out the ranks. would be horrible to see wise in control of the team for 6 six months or so = TIME WASTED AND NO PROGRESS IN STYLE OR CONCEPT....freaky!
